Doubletree by Hilton Dothan

On February 1, 2024 I had one of the best experiences. I just wanted to recognize Makala at the front desk. Makala is such an amazing employee with by far the best customer service. I have stayed at DoubleTree hotels all over and never had such a warm greeting. Thanks again and keep doing what you do!!! Thanks for the warm 🍪!!!

Great hotel, definitely the best in Dothan. Clean, quiet rooms, great showers with plenty of hot water. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby.

Beautiful property. Benjamin checked me in and was super helpful. They were no cars and I had quite a bit he went out of his way to find the hotel manager Joe, who assisted me to my room with a cart he found for housekeeping. What impressed me is the next morning Joe not only remembered my name but called me by name and asked me if there was anything he could do to help me that morning. They go over and beyond to take care of their guests. Everything was needed as a penny. The hotel was an amazing environment and very easy to relax. Beds were comfortable and rooms were very clean and nice size. Shower pressure was nice. My room overlooked the pool which was extremely nice..

On the other hand, breakfast was added to my bill when it was supposed to be included with my room. I questioned it after seeing the charge of my bill and was told someone would call me. I received a call from The sales manager. She was nasty and very hateful person who was clearly annoyed that she had to deal with me. . I explained to her the misunderstanding with our booking and the charge on my bill. She was determined she was going to out talk me and put me in my place, ultimately calling me a liar.. She refused to credit the breakfast to my bill without me reaching out to our corporate office and going through the hassle of having them send the corporate contract regarding breakfast being included.. We are talking $15. I work with a company that is a multi-million dollar account for this chain... While waiting in the lobby that morning,
I actually had watched them credit to other people with breakfast just being nice to the guests. . I politely told her I would reach out to my higher ups and let them dispute this. She very curtly said to me I signed the contracts and I didn't sign that agreement. My boss stays there every week and every week I see his bill. Breakfast is included in our contract. So as long as you don't have to deal with this woman you're going to truly be glad you stayed here.

But my rating has nothing to do with her. My writing is completely consistent on the property in my experience with the property itself.

One of the best hotels I have stayed at. Very clean and comfortable. The pool was clean and huge. The outdoor space was awesome. Recommend staying here. I stayed here for 5 days and it was an amazing time. I look forward to staying here again

Its Very clean and comfortable. The pool was clean and huge. The outdoor space was awesome with cornhole and bbq grill.
Rooms are clean and get regular service, the rooms on the back side have balconies. The air conditioner will freeze you out.
They have guest washer and dryer that works by swiping your credit cards
Recommend staying here. I stayed here for 5 days and it was an amazing time.

Housekeeping was sporadic at best. We were there almost 2 weeks, and the sheets were never changed.

My wife (Holly) and I had to make an unplanned trip to Dothan for the birth of our grandson and had been up for about 26 hours and driving all night from north GA. About 0930 hrs we had stopped at another hotel and were told they had no openings. We had seen this Double Tree. On the way and came back to it.
The front clerk was able to find us a two day reservation and had us checked in minutes.
We had never stayed in a Double Tree Hotel before but are Hilton Members.
What a great place from the front staff, the restaurant chef and staff and the bar staff. Everyone was welcoming,warm and friendly. Everyone made sure we had whatever we needed and the food at breakfast and dinner was wonderful.
Some of the best we had the whole trip.
The property was beautiful and well maintained.
There is a large pool with a waterfall, gas fire pits, and nice seating areas to relax after a long day.
I would recommend this location, will use it again and will look for other Double Trees in our future travels.
Thanks to all of those staff members that made our stay as homey as possible.

Most of the staff was extremely nice and welcoming. The free cookie was the best we have had and breakfast here is beyond the best we have had at any other hotel by far. The room was really clean and had a great look and relaxing feel. The bed was real comfortable. Out of all the hotels I've been to which have been many this place is on my top favorite now. Worth the price.

I travel as part of my job and I was in Dothan for 3 weeks. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was very accommodating. But I have to say the highlight of the hotel is the restaurant and bar. The staff were all very personable which was great, but the food was AMAZINGLY good. I did eat other places in town, but once I had a few menu items I was sold on the hotel restaurant and dined there exclusively. Every entrée I had was well cooked and exceptionally flavorful. If I were a Dothan resident, I’d eat here regularly even without staying at the hotel. I wish everywhere I stayed was this good!

I booked this hotel for my mother and her best friend. Her friend has a procedure at the eye center and they needed to drive over the night before. My mom called and was excited about the hotel. They both loved the welcome they received on the TVs in each room. Mom said the area was very close to the center and they felt very safe.

Place was amazing! We (lineman) were on our way to Florida for hurricane damage and we stayed here on the way and back to home. Oh, and the the hotel restaurant had the best pork chop I think I've eaten.

I didn't stay here, but went for the breakfast (similar to buffet style). Very good and they will make you something fresh if needed (crispy bacon).

I used my Hilton Honors points for a "gypsy trip" weekend ramble so it was just a clean, comfortable place to sleep after a long drive from N. AL. Excellent front staff, passed on the restaurant as everything seemed TO spicy for my sensitive palate and they didn't have room service but I ordered from a local restaurant via door dash. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was a little slippery and unnerving but overall, a nice place to stay and I'll likely be back when I come this way again.

The staff was absolutely exemplary! I observe the reception see to the needs of several families with such grace and care. The cafe/bar staff hosted guess with such cheerful dispositions. The cleaning staff was meticulous in the their cleaning details and welcoming. The renovation is very aesthetically pleasing,and my family enjoyed the bean bag toss and putt putt golf area. It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel. I previously have lodged at the Hampton Inn and Home 2 Suites in this city, but this place has won me over. Please do not lower your standard of excellences.

Beds were the most comfortable I have encountered in years, and I travel for a living. The hotel is modern, clean, and the complementary chocolate chip cookies are a bonus! The restaurant was unexpectedly good, both the service and food quality.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was very very nice. The rooms were very clean and spacious and well stocked. The outside pool area is designed like a retreat like area and the breakfast was really good. Even the owner stopped by to say hello and check in on us. Highly recommend.

This was a quick stop for us on the way to FL. Staff in all areas were so amazing! They showered our kids in warm chocolate chip cookies, a DoubleTree staple. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, rooms were small, but very comfortable and clean. Great place to recharge!

Rooms were very clean. Everyone from front desk to the nice young lady in the restaurant. We asked her about the great taste to the grits and she went to the chef and asked for us. They were very good. When in this area we will stay here again.

I was booking a hotel room for a family member who was traveling through the area, and this hotel had great reviews and the price was right on the money, but I was still a little hesitant. I recommended they stopped by to scope the place out, and shortly they texted me saying this is where they would be staying. The entry way was beautiful and the front desk extremely nice and accommodating. The next day, after back on the road, my family members continued to rave about this place. They said it was previously a Holiday Inn Express, and looked to have been renovated recently. The beds were comfortable and rooms very clean. The continental breakfast was awesome they said, with everything you could want to fuel up and get back on the road. For $77, we will have this place book marked for our next road trip!

Staff was amazing. Bed and pillows were so comfortable. Sitting around the firepit at night was a nice touch. Refreshing, clean pool. Very large shower. Very clean room. Fridge and microwave. Good sized closet. Decent gym room. Snack store. Only downfall for me was that they were still switching over so there was no restaraunt or bar. They offered sacked breakfast but it wasn't great and it was the same every day.
