Olivo Taco - Rockford

We rode our ebikes to this location. They allowed us to put them inside. Well, the tacos are the bomb. They use the smaller soft corn taco shells, but good and enough for a good snack. We also had the elotes corn and shared it. Well, l had a few bites, and the wife enjoyed the rest. The parking lot is big enough for a bobtail, smaller rv, or box truck. You will fit. If it's on the weekend a 18 wheeler will fit. Just be careful. It's a short trip from the Loves Travel stop down by the airport. 5 stars and two thumbs up.

The. Brothers that own this restaurant are very cool people. They care about community and want to serve amazing food at low prices that people can afford. The tacos are delicious and authentic! This is one of my favorite places to grab a quick lunch.

Hole-in-the-wall, super yummy Mexican eatery with very limited menu but delicious food. Steady busy on a Monday night -- a good sign. You order at the counter and food comes in styrofoam and you have to buy bottled water (they don't serve glasses of water).... but, the food is good! I had the Fiesta Bowl and veggie tacos.

I'm giving the 5 star rating on this joint! Went in and ordered tacos, but I wanted fish instead of steak or beef.

This is that 600lb life food!!! I'm hooked. Then when I was leaving the owner told me to try the red spicy salsa Instead of just mild. I told him I'd be back if it wasn't good.

Well I'm going back because it was amazing! Great cheap place to eat and get full.

Then they put it in one of the most urban areas of Rockford. I'm so very happy they didn't forget where they started.

Had steak tacos from the truck this evening and went back for more. They're honestly some of the best tacos we've ever had!

Tacos were delicious and tastes just like the do from the truck. (I make a point of saying that because the table sitting next to us at dinner stated that were different.) It was fabulous and high quality as always. I also tried a fish taco for the first time and although I was hesitant at first, it came out looking wonderful and tastes even better! Unfortunately, while friendly and accommodating, the waitress we had is very new to being a waitress and we sat without silverware and napkins for a while. I will go back. A great price point, good quality, and tastes great!

Since it's not too far from home, we've been visiting the food truck at Forest Plaza for the last year. Simple order of 3 tacos for $5 usually comes back quickly unless they're slammed. The meat can sometimes have a little gristle but for five bucks we aren't expecting prime rib. The sauce, cilantro, and lime are great. Definitely worth a try if you're nearby.

Got greeted as we walked in. Promptly took our order and friendly. Food was tasty and hot temperature. Definitely just as good or better than their trucks. We tried all three fish steak and chicken. Good job guys ! 🤘🏽

Steak Tacos are really good. The hot sauce is excellent. The chicken tamales are great. Should have gotten more than one but I'll be back.

You cannot beat the value of Olivo. PLUS THE TACOS ARE AMAZING. We also strongly suggest their guacamole and homemade chips. Holy moly...soooo good.
