This Unique Theater in our Beautiful city of Wilmington brings back so many memories of my youth. Their excellent staff, prices an atmosphere is Truly a Treasure an a must see, All I can say is Thank you for making it through the Pandemic an many other Obstacles an keeping it the same Family Friendly place its been since the 1930's

Great experience. Love the old time feel. It was a 95deg day so the ac couldn't keep up. However, for $7 and being local I can deal with some less than cold ac. Loved sound of freedom movie!

great local theater and reasonably priced

Love this little gem of a theater! The prices to get in and even the concession is affordable!! Upstairs the screen is small and its compact up there but its doable! Downstairs the screen is big and the room too.Everyone working there is so nice and friendly,very personable! Such a plus not having to fight traffic and pay gas etc. very convenient!!

Great place to see a movie. Very clean. Popcorn is excellent! The staff and everyone is friendly and helpful. We love going here.

Our favorite place to go watch awesome movies. It's definitely a blast from the past. One big movie theater on the bottom and a smaller one upstairs. They have reasonably priced drinks and popcorn!

Small town theater. Almost had the whole place to ourselves!

Enjoyed an afternoon show with my wife and older children at the Mat Theatre. Old time movie house and setting to enjoy Spiderman. Great quality picture on the big screen with spacious seating and rows allowing you plenty of leg room.

Screen 2 upstairs is unlike any other movie venue I've seen. Sit back and enjoy.

I was at the theater Sunday night with my two children when my 9 year old said his stomach hurt. We went to the lobby and he proceeded to throw up in the trash can. He was getting sick for a while and I asked the guy working (a teenager) for some water and a trash bag for the ride home. He was very helpful and got me these things and then kept an eye on my son when I went back into the theater to get my daughter. When we came back out he gave me 3 free passes so we could return and see the end of the movie. I didn’t ask for this accommodation and think it awesome that the young man not only helped with a vomiting child but was so considerate of the circumstances. Great customer service.

Nice movie theater, last Mar theater as far as i know. They have a "no kids day" so adults can watch a movie in peace. Current movies are on tap. I believe they run only 2 movies at any time. This is a small facility. 12/3/2017 $6

Great all around Theater. Truly enjoy living down the street from the Mar. This is the only place I will see a movie. Great staff, prices and atmosphere. Nice to support local business

Best place around to go see a movie! Reasonable prices, tickets and snacks. Clean from lobby to theater to washroom. Employees are always polite and respectful and friendly. Have been going here for years and will continue for years to come.

Quaint, vintage movie house. Large screen downstairs, smaller screen upstairs for children's movies. Inexpensive senior and children's tickets. Good for private parties during off hours.

Never a bad experience at the mar. It's not brand new theater but it's what you make of it. Prices are very good and service is always amazing.

The only theater I know of that two adults can see a first run movie at prime-time (i.e. evening) with popcorn and drinks for $20 total. The theater, staff and closeness is the extra bonus.
