Tidebrook Preserve

Little parking lot says no parking Nov 15-April 15, dogs are allowed, nice little wooded trails. Not too long so we do multiple colored arrows, yellow down to the water and across, blue looping through the woods. It’s a very quick shot from downtown Freeport but SO quiet you feel like you’re way out on your own.

I visited the trail in February and it was muddy and a little icy, but not impassable. The views were beautiful and the forest peaceful. It was a quick and easy hike in the last few minutes of daylight. Also a fine night hike, since it is open 24hrs.

Great little trail system easily accessible from the small parking lot. Fantastic views of the Harraseeket River. Trail system is well laid out.

Fun little place for a nice afternoon walk. When we went, it was low tide, so we walked through the mud, getting stuck every step, but had a great time skipping stones along the way!

Awesome trail system with great signs and beautiful scenery! Definitely worth checking out!
