Engaging Ryan and his practice has helped me significantly on my journey to heal my life long struggle with anxiety and depression. He has helped me come to a deeper wholistic understanding of how both manifest mentally and physically - as thoughts, emotions, and pain - along with helping me uncover the drivers that activate and sustain these states.
Most importantly, he has helped me start to regulate my nervous system - lessen the extremes - gain autonomy over my thoughts - soften my emotions - unwind the narrative - and soothe discomfort and pain.

I would highly recommend engaging Ryan if you have experienced sustained anxiety and/or depression - I am confident in his ability to improve the livelihood of anyone suffering at any level.

I just finished part one of the Elemental Movements online course with Ryan. I have been Qigong curious for a long time so decided to buy this course as I have enjoyed Ryan's style and presentation.
Yes! so good. This course has inspired me into movement in a gentle way. I find it inviting to use for a daily practice.
thank you Ryan for the knowledge and anchored presence you bring to your teaching.

I just recently completed Ryan's course, "Homecoming" via Zoom. We explored embodiment practices, with the aspiration of promoting regulation and resilience in our nervous systems.

Ryan's teaching/guiding style is grounded, empathetic, and rooted in wisdom. The material was digestible, and easy enough to incorporate into daily life. He kept the group small and intimate; which allowed for deeper conversations and a felt sense of safety. He held a very nurturing container/space for the group.

I noticed shifts taking place (within me) throughout the five week course, and am honestly amazed at how the material "works its magic" in REAL life! I am inspired by the material and how it will unfold.

I feel like any human being could benefit from working with Ryan within the scope of his offerings. He holds great medicine.

I am super grateful to have found Ryan’s trauma sensitive acupuncture practice. Before working with Ryan, I was working with a number of different practitioners from various fields - an acupuncturist, a Chinese herbalist, and a somatic experiencing practitioner. I often felt a little uneasy having so many cooks in the kitchen, feeling like I was the only one holding the big picture and I felt nervous that my Chinese medicine practitioners might not understand somatic trauma healing. I feel at ease with Ryan because he is knowledgeable about all the different areas of healing that I have found helpful over the years. Ryan is knowledgeable about Chinese medicine, Chinese herbs, embodiment, meditation, trauma healing, healing touch, qi gong, and complex chronic illness. I feel like he “gets it” and “gets me” if you know what I mean, which for me has been hard to come by. That in itself allows my nervous system to relax because I don’t feel like I need to be hypervigilant holding the big picture by myself. In addition to being knowledgeable, Ryan has a healing and regulating presence. You can tell that he practices what he preaches and has done his own healing and embodiment work. Unlike some acupuncturists, Ryan doesn’t just diagnose you, stick in needles, and walk away into another room. Ryan stays by your side throughout the treatment, offering a guided meditation, gentle touch work, or guided somatic tracking as needed. I’ve been working with Ryan for about four months now, and definitely feel a positive difference in mind, body, and spirit. I highly recommend his practice.

Ryan and his gentle and trauma informed acupuncture have put me more in touch with my nervous system than I have ever been. I am grateful to learn to slow down, tune inward and pay attention to what is happening . One thing I notice is that this process of awareness and tuning in is forming a deep trust and connection with the self. He truly knows how to put his clients at ease simply by his presence and ability to listen. He helps them feel safe so that deep relaxation can occur. He shares his expertise in a way that is easy to understand and relatable to every day life. I have experienced hardly any migraines since beginning work with him. I also notice that my anxiety has decreased, and I am able to manage it better. Overall, I feel like a new human with a more balanced nervous system.

Ryan radiates calm. He is a lovely teacher and manages to make zoom feel like an intimate, quiet, communal place. His teachings are grounded in both the body and the philosophical. I have benefited from both classes I have taken from him.

Ryan is one of those rare practitioners whose treatments are at the level of an art form. He's super knowledgeable and articulate, and he is very caring, focused and present when he works with you. I've received acupuncture, herbs, and healing — which has really helped me.
