Linda Bean’s Maine Kitchen & Topside Tavern

The corn chowder was so good, i ran outside and screamed at God, wanting to know why he had hid this from me for 45 years. I mean legit awesome. Perfect corn, potatoes and onion mix. The biscuit with honey was the cherry on top. My wife had the Lobster roll. She loved it, but still thought Rockland Cafe in Rockland Maine may have a slight edge. If the boot business fails the Bean family, they could fall back on selling lobster rolls and corn chowder. Service was great as well.

I had the lobster roll with mashed potatoes and salt and vinegar chips. My wife had the half roasted chicken with vegetables. We highly recommend this place!

Adult family of five and we sat in the bar with Maya as our server/bartender. All the food came out perfect and our server took the time to suggest local favorites and her as well. We will definitely be back

My son and I visited the LL Bean store and decided to have lunch at Linda Bean's. It was the off season and a slow day at the restaurant. The host sat us in a side room with a view of the main street. It was a great spot for people watching. Our waitress was very friendly and attended to our needs promptly. I ordered the broiled scallops with mashed potatoes and green beans. I regret that I did not take a picture because the presentation was fabulous. The scallops were delicious and the potatoes were perfection, the best I have ever had!! My son had the haddock and was equally impressed. The tater sauce was out of this world. I look forward to my next visit and would highly recommend you give it a try if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed!!

Linda Bean's is a great date night! The lobster was fairly priced and delicious! The service was attentive and quick and the vibe of the restaurant was perfect for adults and children a like.

Perfect! Right in the heart of activities and shopping. It was hot out, the air inside was great. The beverages were cold. Service was quick. Had the lobster and grilled cheese sandwich, a generous portion of lobster. Did not disappoint.

Party of 3, we ordered lobster rolls. We expected them to be hot, but the lobster rolls were chilled. They were still amazing and would be great on a hot summer day!
We also switched out chips for fries on 2 of our meals ( both the chips and fries were great)

We come here all the time and it never disappoints! Great experience at Linda beans! The food was delicious, prices were fair and the portions didn’t disappoint. Our server was so nice and courteous, she was on top of getting things to us on time and very nice! Definitely coming back

Got the chicken caprese and Maine melt sandwiches. Definitely recommend the Maine melt, the caprese sandwich could do with a thinner filet I think but still great! Great atmosphere and quick service!

We got a variety of food, the lobster bisque, lobster Mac and cheese, beet walnut & feta salad, and blueberry cheesecake. Everything was great and we are happy we picked this place!

It’s out first time at Linda’s Beans and everything was delicious. We decided to go with the lobster dinner since we came to visit Maine. It came with a whole lobster, fried steamers, clam chowder, and a side of corn bread and cole slaw, and dessert. The order was so big, it can feed two people. The rest of us ordered fish tacos and lobster pasta. Everything was really good. Service was also good, even though there was only one server available on a Monday night.

Linda Bean's What can I say the food was amazing. My husband and I try the Seared scallops, Lobster Rangoon for our starter. Then main course was mouth watering. I had the Hazelnut chicken. It was amazing. My husband had the fish and chips. The fish melted in your mouth. We couldn't stop sharing with each other. Everything was so fresh. I can't wait to do it again. We had to Complement the Chef. Chef Michael was very nice to take time out to say Hi. If you're in freeport try it. You won't regret it. Thank you Linda Bean's. 😊

This was our favorite Maine restaurant where you could get all your lobster favorites.

I had the lobster roll and it was excellent. Oysters were great also. Dessert options were lacking.

Overall a great place to eat in Freeport.

So I am from the Maritimes and I know good seafood. These lobster roles were not what I was expecting but they were fantastic. The amount of lobster on the colossal plate is worth the upgrade. The lobster was cooked well and was fresh. Like another poster, I was expecting hot or room temp but it was chilled. Sorry I took the photo half way through. You will get an authentic lobster taste here. I do prefer a little garlic butter with mine but there were still awesome without.

The food was great. I liked the decor of kind of an upscale tavern. Rug Hookers enjoy seeing all of the hooked rugs hanging on the second floor.

This place was soooo delicious. We enjoyed everything that we ate here. My favorite was the blueberry barbecue wings. The calamari was wonderful, the lobster roll was perfect - this was one of my favorite places to eat at when visiting Maine. The person waiting on us was wonderful. She was very kind and helpful.

While in Freeport, Maine, a must stop is Linda Bean's.

Haddock baked the L.L. bean way was flaky served with rainbow carrots and potatoes in the form of either whipped, baked, or fried.

Maine Farm Meatloaf was cooked well and moist coveted in a brown sugar tomatoe glaze. Served with rainbow potatoes and potato in the form of either whipped,baked, or fried.

There is plenty of seating inside and outside. They have an upstairs and downstairs patios.

My friends and I went to Linda Bean’s Tavern to order lunch. The service was quick and excellent! Our hostess was very precise and very attentive to our needs, bringing new drinks without even being asked. The food was great as well, large portion sizes for reasonable costs. The Fried Clams were by far our favorite, and the Iced Tea was also really great. I’d very much recommend this restaurant to anyone looking forward to good, affordable food after a day trip of Freeport shopping!
