This is a great campground and public beach area. They have 55 sites including 6 Rustic sites (20$ a night), 1 cabin (45$ a night), 6 50 amp sites (33$ a night) and 42 30 amp sites (28$ a night). They have a small camp store with basics like ice, firewood, charcoal, lighters, flashlight etc. They re-did their bathrooms and showers 2 years ago so they are nicer than most around. They have a vollyball net, baseball field, horseshoe, 3 pavilions for rental (75$ for the day), 1 free public boat launch and a bunch of picnic tables and grills. They also have a playground area for kids. It is open from memorial day weekend to labor day weekend; 8am to 10pm

It was so beautiful and clean!! Everyone that worked there was respectful and helped with all of our needs. I will definitely recommend to everyone I know and I will definitely go back to visit.

I grew up camping here and now bring my own kids. Campground staff is friendly and accommodating. Sites are well shaded and easy to arrange if camping in groups. Water and electric hookups available and one dump station on your way out. Bathrooms and showers are typically clean, occasionally bugs find there way in but it’s typical close to the lake. Watch for goose poop at the beach and wet ground if it’s been rainy. The park did remove the baseball/kickball field backdrop this past year but the field is still open to play in.

I grew up coming here to go swimming. Used to be a little beach that since has vanished into the lake. But it's still a nice lake to get away from the city life.

Facilities are clean and the lake is good for a swim. It's not particularly scenic (more like a KOA campground than a state park campground), but a totally good night's rest.

Great fishing spot! Lots of good memories fishing with my grandpa here and and camping with my grandparents. Now I get to make new memories with my own kids.

What a great little campground! Friendly staff, super clean facilities, pretty little lake, woods: really terrific value. It's also pretty much a one tank trip from Detroit metro. Space for bigger RV,, Elect/H20. 4/5 G connections good. Kid friendly. Recommended

Good rustic spots away from the noisy Camper lots. Just a short stroll the park to get to the lake to cool off. Great showers to wash off. It's really beautiful with our tent facing the water. The staff is great too. They're always polite, professional and punctual. I will definitely be coming back frequently! 5/5 stars.

It's a smaller park, less people means more peacefulness. Water is great for ALL ages.

Been going there since I was little. It's absolutely gorgeous, and a great escape from the busy world. Love it!

Edit: I wrote this original review when I was 16. Thought I'd update that in 2023, I've grown to calling this place my favorite place in the world. I don't live in Michigan anymore, but if it's warm when I visit, you can bet I'm back in my stomping grounds and splashing in clear, beautiful water.

PS: When I was 14, a friend and I dragged a truck bed couch up the hill from the dump to the top of the trail so we could have somewhere to sit. Far as I know it's still there. 🤣 My legacy lives on.

Can’t complain about this place! Beautiful campground in a great location! Was very quiet at night so a good place to sleep, except for the trillions of birds that apparently were on a mission to wake me up in the early morning haha but it was okay. The lake was great too, enjoyed a swim too! Showers and bathroom were clean too! Would definitely come again.

It's a nice park, plenty of tables and grills. The beach is nice, may want to wear some water shoes as the rocks can be rough on your feet. The water does not get deep very fast so it's a nice place to take the kids

When I was a child 35 years ago my mom and her ex husband managed this place for 3 years. I literally lived here for 3 summers as a kid. I came back Labor Day weekend 2017 with my wife and it's still a great place to camp. Friendly people. Clean. Beautiful lake. Great place to make memories..

Haven't camped there in years, we use the park/lake regularly. It can be busy on super hot days, but it is generally clean, and refreshing on hot days!
We have kayaked the lake and not bothered by speed boats and jet skis.

Stopped over on the way from Wisconsin to Ontario. Very friendly staff. Clean and spacious sites. Lake is beautiful. Shower and washroom facilities were great and clean. Wonderful site! Wish we could've stayed longer.

This campground worked great for us. It's small but has a great little trail though the woods, a small swim area (no sandy beach) and a great place to launch a kayak.
