I came here and treated all the ladies in the wedding to hair and makeup.

It was a magical experience. Ryah, the manager, is absolutely amazing to work with. She made a great schedule, was easy to communicate with, and she is just awesome and so friendly.

Alyssa did my hair and makeup along with my niece and was also awesome. I told her that she was the professional and I trusted what she was to choose and she chose a color pallete that didn't wash me out and also made my eyes pop. It was colors that I wouldn't have thought of, and I was so glad I trusted her. :)

We also had the salon suite booked so it was nice to sit there, relax, and have a mimosa from Mission Point before the ceremony.

If you are on the island and need a service or having a wedding, definitely book with Lakeside Salon. Stress free and relaxing experience!

Quick & easy review: It’s fabulous, make a reservation, bring a swimsuit to enjoy the sauna and steam rooms. Cruelty free. My husband and I had the couples massage and it was wonderful!

Long & detailed review:
Facility & amenities - beautifully appointed, a mix of antiques with modern comfort. Perfect for a couples, friends, or wedding spa day. The layout is well thought-out and provides separate spaces for men and women to relax. I’ve been in many a spa, and appreciate the attention to detail and flow with this one. Remember to bring a swimsuit to enjoy these spaces before or after your service. The changing area provides lockers (with key), restrooms, shower, steam room, and dry sauna. Robe and slippers can be found within your locker. Water is provided.

Staff & services - the spa menu is available on the website and appointments can be made online or by calling. Marcia, at the front desk, was so personable and helped us work out add-ons. Upon arrival, you are asked to complete a form to gather additional information for the massage therapist. Shortly after, you are escorted to the changing room and instructed that you may use the facilities until a specified time. At that time you exit into a combined waiting room, to wait for your therapist. My masseuse, Amy, was fabulous and I highly recommend that you ask for her! Afterward you are taken back to the changing room, where you can enjoy the amenities again. Gratuity was included in the total for our services. However, this may differ depending upon service. I used my cc but it appears they have Apple Pay/tap and go.

I got married last week on Mackinaw Island. Lakeside spa did an incredible job. My fiancé had a great massage. I had nails, hair and makeup done. To say I was pleased is an understatement. I can’t tell you what a perfect hair and makeup experience I had. Alyssa truly has a talent for making you look your best. I can’t recommend her enough!! Amazing 😻

Wonderful staff! I have been here a few times and it' always a pleasant experience. The most recent was for my September wedding. Despite being a staff member short they still had my bridal party in and out the door right on time.

I used Lakeside for my bridal/wedding party hair and makeup and it was everything I could have asked for. Everyone was so accommodating and nice and made my big day that much better!!! Alyssa did mine and my sisters hair/makeup and she was incredible. I will definitely recommend them and use them for any future services. ☺

We had such a wonderful experience at the Mission Point spa! Our massages were fantastic! Easily the best part of our entire trip. Would recommend highly. We plan to book massages the next time we return to the island. All staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. You won’t be disappointed!

I cannot say enough good things about Lakeside Spa and my experience. I first met Marsha the Spa Director and she was a great help. My appointment was booked for me as a gift and on my end, lines got crossed regarding the date of service. I showed up a day early, but Marsha was super accommodating and was able to get my service started just a little bit later and she convinced me to stay and take advantage of the amenities like the sauna and steam rooms and relaxation room. She read me like an open book and recognized I needed it. Thank you Marsha! Now let’s talk about how wonderful Denise my massage therapist was. WOW! I’ve spent a couple decades in spas specifically receiving massage services, mostly in Chicago and even a renowned spa in Asheville, NC. Denise is top notch, she listened and was totally in tune with my needs that day. I was so appreciative and even sent my husband there the next day for a massage. Nothing but great things to say as well! Also important to note; the facility was VERY clean, the robe was comfy, plenty of towels and the toiletries available were a nice touch.

It was a last minute decision, to have a spa day with my aunt. We received every service we were hoping for! Everyone was so kind and accommodating.

I wanted a massage, and was most fortunate enough to have Daniel, as my massage therapist. I have had MANY massages. But never by a therapist that cared, as much as Daniel cares. He was intent on relieving my pain. He was so very kind to me. And genuinely cared about my well being.

If you need a massage, choose Daniel! You’ll be so happy that you did.

Lakeside Spa and Salon at Mission Point Resort located on Mackinac Island, Michigan is absolutely amazing. Five stars isn’t enough. The complete experience was amazing. From making the reservations to the pedicures to the massages. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Everything was perfect. We can’t wait for our next spa day (approximately two weeks). You really made our anniversary special. Thank you again.

I got my mother a day at the spa for her birthday and she loved it! She said everyone was so accommodating and the treatments were personalized and very relaxing. Thank you for taking care of my mom!

I love this place. I was there briefly twice last year, and the owner remembered my face this year. They do great work. Mani pedis and massages are great. I highly recommend. It's not nearly as expensive at the Grand, the experience is better, and there's are more services because they have more room.

I have had a couple dozen massages over the last 15 years with most of them being good, a couple of them being great, but Cathe did a truly exceptional job with my massage! It was the best one that I have ever had. Thank you!

Lakeside Spa and Salon was amazing! I had my hair and makeup done by Alyssa for my wedding day and it looked amazing and better than I expected. My hair and makeup lasted all day - even throughout the hot weather and dancing. My bridesmaids/moms absolutely loved their hair and makeup as well. The day after our wedding, we got massages. The environment was so peaceful and relaxing. After the massage, we were able to use the steam room and sauna as long as we wanted. It was a perfect way to relax after our wedding. The staff was so friendly, especially Ryah, the salon manager. Thank you for making our wedding experience amazing!

My husband and I came in for the Signature Spa Pedicure and Kyan & Alyssa were amazing! I had Alyssa for my wedding day and she was fantastic!! A lot of my guests raved about my make up, hair and how beautiful I looked but that is because of Alyssa giving me a WONDERFUL glow up! The spa itself is so clean, bright and airy. I couldn't have picked a better area to get ready for my wedding day! The bathrooms and sitting area was also so nice. Thank you Lakeside Spa and Salon!

My spouse and I booked a customizable 60 minute couples massage, and we enjoyed every moment of it! Would highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing way to spend the afternoon on the island.

My wife and I came to the island for our Anniversary. We both recieved a 60 min with a 30 min facial. Amanda was absolutely amazing. She was very knowledgable of the body and up to date on massage techniques. She made me feel completely comfortable. The environment is very relaxing.
Due to covid-19 the sauna and steam room were closed but the reduction in price point more than made up for that.
If you are planning a large group book in advance as services fill up fast. You will not be disappointed.

This was a wonderful, relaxing afternoon with my good friend visiting from Long Island. We spent 2 1/2 days on the island walking, hiking & biking. So, we looked forward to our afternoon at the spa where we spent 30 minutes in the sauna prior to our massages, mini facials & cherry almond pedicures. Between treatments we enjoyed their serene relaxation area with
comfy oversized furniture and soft lighting & music. Many thanks to the staff members who provided our services and the ladies at the reception desk. Each were welcoming, personable and professional. I certainly look forward to visiting the spa my next trip to the island and recommend others visiting Mackinaw Island consider scheduling Lakeside Spa into their visit.

I am incredibly pleased with Lakeside Spa & Salon. Tiffany is fabulous, to say the least. I was having a major issue with extreme pain in my left forearm, which my primary doctor attributed to a torn flexor muscle. Tiffany worked some magic and actually explained that what I was feeling was referred pain from somewhere else in my back and shoulder. She worked on my back and shoulders and for the first time in over a month, I was completely pain free. She was extremely professional and compassionate and did a great job educating me as well. Typically, I have extremely sensitive skin, and break out from anything touching me, but the products they used were amazing quality and my skin remained clear. The spa has a great atmosphere, and it's quite clear that their Massage Therapists are extremely well versed in their medical knowledge. I would recommend this spa and Tiffany to anyone!!
