We stayed in the John Jacob Astor room and it was wonderful. Especially loved the screened in porch. The staff were all very sweet and laid-back. The building was quieter than I expected (you couldn't hear everything going on, the only noise was from the old doors). I liked that the bathrooms were more modern, while the rooms kept their 1800s aesthetic. Location is great, being right next to the historic catholic church and right in front of the Butterfly House. Less than a 5 minute walk from downtown. Our room was so cozy, it was hard to leave to explore the island. :)

One of the cheaper places to stay on the island, but it did not feel cheap. Very good breakfast every morning, super friendly owners/staff, and a good location relative to the downtown area. Clean, cozy, and overall nice rooms. Only stayed a few nights, but will definitely look to stay here next time I’m on the island.

Returning customers!!! We LOVE Haan's Inn. Stayed in the Beaumont Suite and it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a delicious hot breakfast! Very accommodating with holding luggage until our room was ready. Will stay again!

We absolutely *loved* our stay here! Everything was so lovely that by that in the short time we were shown to our room we had already asked for further availability after our stay! We stayed in the Gov. Lewis Cass Suite and it was so perfect for our family. The next morning we got up at our leisure and ate a delicious breakfast (with amazing homemade bread!) and then headed out with our fresh coffees to right behind the inn to the butterfly house! I wish I could live here, it was so peaceful and relaxing. The owners were nothing short of amazing, I’d rate it more starts if I could!

We had an amazing stay at Haan's! It was our first time staying at a B&B and we absolutely loved it! Breakfast is incredible and they work with special diets/allergies so well! Breakfast was filling and delicious, and I looked forward to the homemade bread every morning! The rooms are cozy and romantic. The porches were perfect for curling up and reading. We loved the evening cookies as well! The location is perfect!

We had an amazing time staying at Haan’s 1830 inn! The staff sent a welcome email a week prior asking for any food restrictions, we told them we don’t eat meat and they were nice enough to make a veggie egg bake each morning, which was delicious! The rest of the breakfast was phenomenal, much better than I anticipated (lots of options). Location was another huge win! We attended a wedding at Mission Point which was a quick walk, they are also located walking distance to downtown. Check-in and check-out were smooth and easy. Staff was extremely nice as well as the other guests staying at the inn. Would highly recommend!

The host was amazing! She made sure we had everything we needed and was very helpful regarding our 1.5 year old. The location is great...just outside the hustle and bustle of the downtown. There was even some live music in the front yard one of the nights we were there! And the breakfasts...they were my wife's favorite meals while on the island! Highly recommend staying here!

Although we only stayed one night, it was such a great experience. We stayed in the John Jacob Astor room in a quiet section of the Inn. The screened in porch made the evening so relaxing after spending the day biking around the island. I love that they offer board games and coffee/tea in the front room. The breakfast was so delicious and served family style so we were able to meet some other guests staying at the inn. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. Would love to stay here again the next time we visit Mackinac!

My husband and I just stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. Shannon is very friendly and helpful. The inn is very comfortable and charming. I loved the special touches like fresh flowers from the gardens in our room. The parlor table was set beautifully each morning but the best part of everything was the delicious homemade breakfast each morning. I can’t wait to come back for another visit.

What a lovely place. Beautiful rooms. Located just a short walk from the ferry dock. Breakfast was just amazing. Fresh foods. Good coffee. About the only drawback was that they don't have luggage transportation from the ferry. Easily resolved by using a luggage porter, so not really a big deal.

Absolutely fantastic bed and breakfast. Shannon and her husband are the sweetest most caring hosts. We stayed in the Madame LaFramboise room and it was everything we were looking for on our vacation. Clean, unique, and homey. The breakfast was delicious! Full spread with everything you'd want including great hot coffee.

It's located a short walk from Main Street which was perfect. The foot traffic is less crowded and it feels more intimate.

Highly recommend! Paul and Pat are terrific hosts. The breakfast buffet has a lot of options and wonderful homemade treats. Also, it’s a great location. Not too far from town or Mission Point— a happy middle ground where it’s both quiet and easily accessible. My husband and I will be back!

Shannon and her family are so welcoming and friendly, and the location is ideal. You're just far enough away from downtown to avoid a lot of the crowds, but close enough that it's not a far walk or bike ride. The inn is lovely inside. Our bathroom was completely up-to-date, but the room didn't lose its period charm because of it. As a precaution during the pandemic, Shannon delivered breakfast to her guests' rooms individually instead of having a continental breakfast, and this gave us a chance to eat on the beautiful porch. We would happily stay again!

Paul and Pat are truly lovely hosts. Our room was vintage, classic, quaint, nostalgic and simply adorable. Due to covid-19 the breakfast buffet is not available, so they provided us with a personal wake up breakfast that they brought to our door, which was sweet and simple, a nice way to start the day. Also, if Pat offers you a slice of her banana bread make sure to accept. Overall wonderful experience. Thank you.

Great place to stay! The couple hosting the BNB were amazing and so hospitable. They treated me like family and I definitely felt like one of their grandchildren rather than a paying guest. Made my Mackinaw Island experience great. Oh and the breakfast served was phenomenal!

What a wonderful, quiet, relaxed place. I thoroughly enjoyed my two day stay here. The inn keepers(husband and wife) are very friendly people. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The breakfast in the morning is absolutely delicious! Definitely would stay here again.

Loved staying here. It's far enough away from the crowds but an easy walk to everything. Comfortable room we had a screened porch right outside our door. Breakfast was very good. The innkeepers were such nice people and I would definitely book a room here again.

This was our first stay and we LOVED 1830!
The room was perfect food was excellent and with myself having food allergies they went out of the way to make breakfast a joy for me! They are located off the main strip in a more quiet area and we appreciated that! (Next to St Anne's church so not to far down) we will be returning next year! Thank you for a wonderful get away!

Lovely room and the hosts (Paul and Pat) were very gracious. The room was clean and included a full kitchen complete with everything anyone could possibly need to entertain dinner guests (including a kettle!) and a private bathroom. The bed was reasonably comfortable with a beautiful quilt.

The breakfast was better than the typical continental that I've previously experienced. Every morning we awoke to the smells of fresh baked bread and homemade pastries with cherry maple butter. They also provided a couple of breakfast casseroles fresh from the oven, orange juice, cranberry juice, coffee and a variety of teas. Then they also had the staple continental fare such as bagels, fruit and cereal.

I had intended to try this place out and then another place in the future but I'll definitely not bother and Haan's 1830 shall be the goto inn for our future vacations on the island.
