This is such a wonderful family owned & operated breakfast restaurant. We always feel welcome when we visit & the food is exceptional. Robin is a phenomenal chef. The food is always made to order, hot & fresh. I definitely feel we are getting our money's worth when we leave with full bellies that didn't break the bank. I realize there are other breakfast restaurants in the area, but I just can not drive past Papa Bears. The food, service & prices are unbeatable. Thank you, Robin & family!!

This place checks all of the right boxes. Great food, big portions, eclectic setting, great staff. It isn’t a sterile cookie cutter chain, it’s built inside an older house. They don’t make places like this anymore. It’s got the history and vibe that can only come from effort & love. It’s a beautiful time machine that makes one wish their parents were still around because they would cherish it, and makes them take their kids to because it’s what dining out used to be.

Seriously this place is spot on for takeout. I can’t wait for Covid shut down to be over and check it out. We ordered the grizzly. It’s this heavenly hash browns with cheese, sausage, ham, light green peppers and sour cream. For $20 it fed 5 people and there was about 1/4 of it left. It’s so big they had to put it in two to-go cases. The potato were cooked all the way and I appreciate that there was just a few peppers so not to overwhelm. And there was no skimping on other toppings. I still can’t believe how much sour cream. It was not over the top but definitely not skimping. We also got biscuits and gravy. They were fantastic lots of gravy and fluffy biscuits. Honestly it was hard to decide what to keep eating.

Im guessing the negative reviews are from people that have bad attitudes. The ladies here are Amazing. The food was great amd plenty of it. Be sure you go in with a smile and an apatite amd you'll leave full and happy. Also check out the selection of breads and jams. I got the Banana and strawberry jam!

Staff has a great attitude, I just sat down didn't even get the menu and I was laughing. fun!

Great little restaurant, nice staff the owner is very friendly. Stuffed hashbrown. The "Grizzly " was excellent bring at least 4 friends you'll need the help to finish it!

Stuffed hashbrown with bacon, mushroom & onion, delicious. Executed perfectly. Enough for two meals. Very friendly & attentive staff. My only request is for stronger coffee. Highly recommend!

Warm and friendly customer service made this a great experience. The location is great even if it is just a converted residence. The food was delicious and came out pretty fast even though the place was near capacity. Fresh garden vegetables and baked good were available for sale in front and inside so the experience is unique. We were glad to find this and not have to wait so long for breakfast.

The first time you go, you will be astonished by the size of the plates. I'm able to feed my family and have left overs with the car size stuffed hash brown. Staff is always friendly!

My son and I always have an awesome experience at Papa Bears.. Even if it is just for take out, they are always friendly and the food is amazing!!! Definitely one of our favorite restaurants here in Muskegon..

Been going back for Grizzlies for years. Don't baulk at the price, it will feed several people...several times. Delish!

This place has great food and customer service. Our waitress Bonnie was very friendly, food was out quick and hot. My new go to for breakfast while I'm in Muskegon.

Love this place. Food is always awesome. Absolutely love the hash browns made from real potatoes not frozen or dehydrated. Warm friendly staff. Prices are great. And they have actual Sweet Tea. I'm from the south so I need sweet tea.

I ordered a Irish omelet it has cheddar cheese and hashbrowns and topped off with cheddar cheese..I recommend to call ahead to get food they have been busy since. Good for must try

This Family restaurant has a GoldiLock feeling to it, just like the storybook you'll walk in to the bears den with not host to greet you you can find a table that is "just right", I recommend trying their stuffed hashbrowns, they have a "Baby Bear", "Mama Bear" and a "Papa Bear" size, so make sure to ask your server ( ours was Brandi, daughter to the owner) and they will help find the one that's "Just Right".

That stuffed hash brown.... killed my diet... southed my soul. Best in town hands down. The family run shop will make you feel like your in grandmas kitchen. Because y o u. A r e. Great people. They do Christian outreach for families who lose their home, clothes and supplies. Food. Great people. ✝.

Amazing food. Love the atmosphere of a family oriented restaurant. Also there famous stuffed hashbrowns are absolutely worth it!
