Hotel Iroquois

We enjoyed a 2- night stay at the Hotel Iroquois and chose the two Queen Room (second floor) that overlooked water. It was spectacular! The room was so spacious and clean. Each morning we would watch the sun rise as the early ferries left for the mainland. We also ate a special meal at the Carriage House dining room on one evening. This dinner was 5-star and memorable! I'm so glad that we chose to stay at this hotel and can't wait to return again on our next trip to the island! 5 STARS!!

& My favorite place to be 😊. The carriage house restaurant was also beautiful. Very expensive but you pay for what you get …we went for three nights for the Labor Day weekend. We had a balcony first floor room 101 very tiny and so was the balcony. The room next to us I could hear through the walls and there was no privacy on the balcony if they came out on their balcony. I would suggest trying to make the balcony’s somehow more private 🤷🏻‍♀ but that’s my personal opinion & only suggestion…I need my privacy 💛 especially the price we paid, was at a premium because of the balcony in Lakeview !

You will be so happy that you chose the Iroquois! The property is gorgeous, clean, and well managed. The location is perfect - at the end of the main street where it's less congested but easily walkable. The hotel staff members were so impressive, helpful and friendly! The round, four-season room at the front of the hotel is a peaceful place to sit and watch/listen to the "traffic" go by. The Carriage House restaurant is one of the best dining experiences we've had in all of our travels. We ate outside on the patio, and it was an exceptional dining experience. The guestroom bathrooms are small, but the sleeping room was more than adequate in size. We had a king room with a small balcony overlooking the straits and the lighthouse. The room was very clean and crisp. Don't let the size of the bathroom keep you from choosing this hotel ... you will not regret it. You will be recommending this hotel to others.

The Iroquois Hotel is our favorite vacation gem. The entire team makes us feel right at home. It is the only vacation hotel where I actually come home rested. I cannot say enough about everyone who works at the Iroquois Hotel. Check in was amazing. Woke up to everyone one saying, "Good Morning!". Our eyes literally tear up when we have to get on the ferry to get home to Virginia. Your entire outstanding team and your above and beyond attitudes have made us forever love the Iroquois, we truly care for the team, and we always will return.

The Iroquois has absolutely impeccable housekeeping, and it is truly appreciated by us. We like the L'Occitane products that are used in the bathrooms. The European style breakfast in the morning is always of very high quality and tasty! Staff is always courteous and attentive. Many thanks to David who ran to our just-about-to-depart ferry with our forgotten bike helmet. That's the kind of attention to detail you get at the Iroquois, and exactly why we return year after year.

Hotel Iroquois is in the perfect location- on the end of Main Street, steps from the action but not in the middle of it- and we love its history and impressive preservation. It has beautiful water and lighthouse views, particularly from the spacious outdoor patio. The decor is bright and “islandy” yet very tasteful. We loved our room, which had a balcony overlooking a public green on the point (if you really want privacy, you may not like these rooms as much as we did, but most rooms are not as exposed). Though the hotel isn’t large, there are lovely common spaces, including cozy reading nooks and a gracious round sunroom. The complimentary breakfast is ample and tasty.

Our son's and bride to be wedding rehearsal dinner for 40plus guest was outstanding.
Food, service, atmosphere both inside dining and then outdoor after hour drinks, with 160 guest, could not have been better. Including the new dock facilities. New owner has carried on a remarkable tradition of excellence.
We are long time summer East Bluff residents, and the experience exceeded our expectations.

We decided on a last minute weekend trip to Mackinac Island. This was our first trip to Mackinac and I did not know what to expect I chose the hotel because it was close to the ferry dock. I will go back because the staff was amazing and the property is beautiful. before we arrived I reached out to the hotel asking for suggestions of things to do and places to dine. Not only did they make great recommendations but they then made the reservations and had an itinerary printed for us upon our arrival. Thank you Hotel Iroquois for a great weekend!

What an unbelievable stay at Hotel Iroquois. Location was exceptional - close to all the action, but on the edge of the town, so a bit more quiet. The rooms were beautiful, actually the entire hotel was just lovely - we enjoyed sitting in the front room watching all the activity on the street. Service was excellent as well.

We have a very night two nights in the Hotel Iroquois and highly recommend it. We certainly will return if we make future trips to the island. It's quiet and romantic and the location cannot be beat.

Nice place to stay on the island - location was the best. Not far from the ferry at all - short walk. Historical home / hotel - no elevator so you may have to walk a couple of flights of stairs if you are on 2nd or 3rd floor. The staff was very nice. Continental breakfast was okay. The grounds are kept very nice and lots of beautiful flowers and windows to look out. Very relaxing accommodations. Nice to have coffee on first floor, refills and for on the go - took mine with to sip on while waiting on the ferry to arrive on a chilly morning.

First class all the way, great location and the friendliest and most helpful staff. Extra thanks to the porters for making sure our luggage got from the docks to our room, and the back again with out any worries.
The grounds are beautiful, the dining area is elegant and the rooms are charming, cozy and very comfortable. Thank you Hotel Iroquois very marking our trip to Mackinac Island even more special.

Hotel Iroquois is a beautiful inn, the service truly was some of the best we have ever had. Everyone was kind, helpful and friendly. October is a wonderful time to visit the island.

Was here for a wedding and they did a phenomenal job. Ceremony was nice right by the water and the reception had amazing food and service.

We spent two nights at Hotel Iroquois. The hotel is beautiful inside and out and the staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Carriage House. The location is just outside of the tourist area and offers incomparable water views. It was wonderful.

Spectacular storybook, overlooking the lake with the most abundant and exuberant annuals. The gardens are a destination on to themselves but wait there is more, one of the best lake views in the world. A true destination- promise you will be making memories and taking a piece of heaven with you.

We loved it for a short stay in Mackinac island. Hotel has great location, views, beautifully appointed and very clean rooms as well as attentive service. Breakfast was lovely! I wish they had fresh vegetables, but other than that- lots of options. They have an onsite restaurant that is great for dinner/lunch or later evening drinks. We would come back again as a family or a couple for a romantic getaway.

The Hotel Iroquois is a wonderful vacation stay! Every staff member was friendly and helpful. The hotel is well-appointed, quaint, and delightful. There is a flower-filled porch, 2 sun rooms for morning coffee and afternoon people watching, and a beautiful patio to watch the ferries come in and go out. Our room was spacious. The bed was comfortable and the linens crisp. There was "turn down" service in the evening including bottles of water and chocolates. Our room had a semi-private covered porch overlooking the garden. It was nice to spend our late afternoons there with a bottle wine before heading to dinner. The morning continental breakfast was a highlight. Croissants, fruit, yogurt, granola, coffee cakes, muffins, and sliced meats and cheeses. Hotel Iroquois is close to the main downtown area but near the edge so it is very peaceful and relaxing. We are looking forward to staying here again. I would recommend Hotel Iroquois to anyone but especially couples and friends groups.

After a very sad and stressful 2022 we celebrated our 47 anniversary there. My husband in the past bucked going to MI because we are from Ohio (imagine that!) but the drive up and back were wonderful! The weather was awesome and we were educated about the island. Beautiful! After a long couple of days we were so pleased just to hang out at and around the hotel. It felt like home only much more beautiful. Peace, calmness and serenity is so wonderful. Everyone so friendly, it took us far away from our troubles so we can carry on and actually look forward to the rest of this year! Thank you staff at Hotel Iroquois for maintaining this piece of history.
