Mercer County Vietnam Veterans Memorial

Very well planned memorial. Tastefully and respectfully done. Markers for fallen soldiers. Etched in stone quotations, medals. Quiet and maintained. My only knock is that bulletin board weathered.

The KofC had their Annual Flag Day Ceremony. It was as usual a very memorable experience.

Great place to pray for peace

A beautiful memorial that, unfortunately, has not been maintained well. The tattered flags, faded medals, and weeds do not pay these American warriors their true honor and taint an otherwise grand tribute. The memorial design is regal and rather expansive from the bridge and marker near the parking area to the treeline of tall stately pines behind the memorial and between the main road. I can't imagine that a little elbow grease and a small amount of funding wouldn't restore this memorial to its original glory.

Conditions are deplorable, the county should be ashamed, there is no excuse for the damage caused by the mowers and overall state of the memorial.
