A true review from a Texas guy visiting Chicago. We had a blast at this restaurant. We enjoyed the the famous deepest pizza. Their secret recipe of sauce is well kept from 1944. They have an excellent full service bar and the garlic bread is must have keep in mind when you go there, put your order for pizza because it takes anywhere between 45 minutes to an hour to bake one appetizers. Don’t take that long but if you know what exactly want to eat is better to order in advance., the sitting area is very traditional, and will take you back in the age when this restaurant was built overall a very nice experience. If you’re traveling to Chicago, this is a must try place.

First time in Chicago, had to get Chicago style pizza! Came with my sister in law and niece and daughters so we were a big gaggle of girls. Seated quickly, super friendly staff. It was about 5 so right at dinner. The food was great. It was fun, there was a nice guy with a camera offering pictures. One free for the table and you could buy other ones. We got one of all the cousins together that was fabulous. It's a little cramped inside but overall worth the visit.

Worth your time! Excellent deep dish and friendly service! You haven't truly been to Chicago until you've had Uno pizza!

So we were in Chicago for a business trip, and we end up getting to the hotel, very late, and most of the restaurants in the area, already closed or about to close. As we randomly walk around the streets of downtown Chicago, we happen to see a place called Pizzeria Uno and decide to stop in to eat dinner since it looks cool And is actually open. To our surprise when we enter, it turns out to be the original location of Uno, and allegedly the original deep dish pizza. The staff were super friendly, and the venue was super cool looking, with a vintage atmosphere. They had a full-service bar as you walk in, and I was surprised to see they had whiskeys such as EH Taylor, Weller, etc. I ordered a double of EH Taylor, which set the mood for the evening. We ordered the Uno special per the recommendation of the staff, and we were actually quite happy with it. We have in the past tried deep dish Chicago pizza from a place that starts with a G, although it was in Orlando, because that’s where we actually lived, and we were not impressed. After eating that deep dish, my wife, and I agreed that we would never eat deep dish ever again, and at the time we only had a couple bites of that soupy pizza and gave the rest to a neighbor. We also had the house made meatballs, which were quite delicious. The deep dish pizza had meatball slices, onions, bell peppers, and pepperoni, along with the hearty tomato sauce and cheese, of course. Service was great, and they were very friendly. The price was reasonable and we were happy. We still prefer New York style pizza, but now we know that Chicago style deep dish is actually edible depending on where you get it.

The food was yummy. The wait to be seated was very short. Our waiter was very kind and fast. The portions were huge and the price was really good. $60 for a huge pizza, fries, and meatballs.

Amazing. Lives up to the hype. Excellent service. Steeped in tradition. Server let us know it would be a wait for the pizza but it would be worth it and it was. Looked and tasted home cooked and had a ton of flavor. It’s a great experience you have to have if you’re in town.

The pizza was very nice and I love a classic Chicagoan deep dish pizza. The staff was very kind my waiter specifically was super helpful and down to earth. He made various jokes with us and allowed us to move seats multiple times since we wanted a booth. Atmosphere is also really lovely it gives a classic American bar vibe which I really enjoyed.

Great deep dish pizza. Stopped for lunch, busy place but they sat us down quickly, served drinks and got our pizza on the way. They do a great job and serve excellent food.

great pizza, I wanted to taste the Deep Dish Pizza, and I ask for a medium Número Uno Pizza 🍕 with jalapeños and I wasn't disapointed, it was great, and I love it!, the waiting time is like a 45 minutes for a Deep Dish Pizza. They don't have diet coke, only regular and just have Pepsi.

The place where the deep dish pizza was invented back in 1943, or that's what they told me, proudly too. Good food and jovial, knowledgeable service (I was at the bar). Had the Numero Uno, individually sized. Generous topping of mushroom, onion, sausage, pepperoni, and green peppers. It's definitely more conventional pizza like than soup bowl, despite the presence of the pie dish. Be ready to wait 45m for your pizza since they make them fresh.

This was my first time trying Chicago's staple deep dish pizza! UNO's was recommend to me and it lived up to the hype. I'm not sure if they offer reservations, but we were walk ins and we were seated promptly. It was pretty busy for a Monday afternoon. I went in a group of four, so we ordered the large pepperoni deep dish to share. For our appetizers, we ordered wings and fried calamari. I also ordered the pomegranate margarita. Our pizza came out quicker than the expected 45 min wait! Everything was delicious and hit the spot after walking the city all day. The service was also great! It was a fun experience!

I recently dined at a pizza place that's been serving since 1943, recommended by a Chicago-born friend. It lived up to the hype! The deep-dish pizza was a masterpiece, with crispy crust, quality ingredients, and friendly service. A must-visit for pizza lovers.

Great place and their deep pizza is a must try. Portion is big and super hot. It could take a long time to make if there’s lots of people.

This place is really cool! Being the foodie and history enthusiast that I am, It is amazing to see and experience where food history was made! This place is quaint and old school! We went around 2PM and it was still very busy, but we were able to get a table right away. It was a cozy(pretty tight to be honest) fit as the dining area is small and the tables are close together, but it made for an atmosphere of nostalgia mixed with a classic Chicago neighborhood vibe.
They told us it would be 45 minutes for pizza due to how busy it was, but we got ours much quicker than that. The pizza was great, and the marinara was some of the best I have had!
Overall this is a must visit if you want to experience where Chicago Style Deep Dish was introduced to the world!

First time ever in Chicago and this place was recommended to me from a job I came to do. Pizza was the best pizza… THE BEST pizza I have ever had in my entire life. Waiter didn’t even ask before filling up my water/root beer… he just did it. Bartender had a guy that was too intoxicated come in just to drink, and he turned him down so respectfully and professionally. AND the place is just awesome. Thank you for making my first night in Chicago so memorable. Amazing place.

I couldn't remember if I had this pizza pie before. But after having it I knew that I would have remembered, because it was Delicious! You know, it's funny that My Wife was the one that wanted to eat here that day and now I want to eat here again. The Bartender made it even better by also being Our Server. Keep making those tasty Pies.

This place was recommended by 2 of my friends from Chicago and they did not miss. This pizza is gas!! ⛽ We had the Italian and pepperoni and it was so delicious. FYI, they make everything to order and it takes about 45 minutes. So be prepared to wait. It’s well worth it. Will definitely be back during my next trip to Chi-Town.

Very nice place to visit as it is both a good restaurant and a historical landmark.
We were there on a Saturday around opening time and were able to be seated right away (party of 4).
Drinks were very good. The pizzas are ehat you expected from the Chicago-style: very large and filled with cheese. We ordered two different ones (cheese and sausage) but found then to be too similar.
