Wow this was great! The views were SO worth the tough hike. If you want to do the full I recommend doing the (steeper) Winslow Trail going up. It’s 1.1 miles to the summit & although it’s steep, the views aren’t as great and it’s a shorter walk up to the good views! I took the Barlow Trail down and there were quite a few spots to stop & look out at the valley & surrounding mountains and it was nice to have an easier slope going down.

The drive up to the trailhead is along a twisty road. Beware if idiots coming in the opposite direction as there is little room to maneuver. This is a very popular trail and it is advisable to reserve online. There are two trails, one with lots of boulders and quite challenging, while the other is steep but easier. You can do the two together as a loop if you wish. The walk up is fun, and the views from the top are amazing. There is a lot of interesting graffiti hewn into the rock at the top dating back almost 200 years.

Super easy hike. Great for family's with kids. Tons of rocks for the little ones to climb on. Great spots for family photos and lots of space to move around other people on busy days

Tons and tons and tons of parking. Such a great surprise once you get there.

Was surprise that you can drive to practically the top of the mountain mountain and climb up to the top of the fire tower

Can't wait to get back!!

The drive to the trailhead felt like the Mt. Washington auto road. We took the Rollins Trail up and down, but later learned we could take the Lincoln trail up (0.1 mile shorter but bit more steep) and take the Rollins Tr down. The breeze at the top was very nice on a sunny day. You can lay on the big rocks and take a nap before heading down.

Nice rocky trail to climb up. Vast views of the surrounding area. Don't forget to reserve your spot online, or you may not get in.

• Rollins & Lincoln Loop | 5★ | 1.0mi | 325ft - Most tackle this loop clockwise beginning on the Lincoln Trail which features some great Westerly views. However, at the beginning of this route there is a significant rockfall section to scramble over. Kids may love it, but if it seems a little much for you, then you'll find an out-and-back route up Rollins Trail to be much easier.

Be aware that the trailhead and large parking lot is located in Rollins State Park which is closed during winter and early spring. When closed you can park your car by the park entrance and walk up the road, but if you're thinking about doing that you'd be better served on the long Lincoln Trail from the bottom of the mountain. Or there's always Winslow State Park on the other side of the mountain.

We have a full article on Mt Kearsarge at Trailspotting.com with maps and reviews of all the ways to reach the summit.

What an unbelievable day for a beautiful scenic hike..These are pictures from the easy side of Mount Kearsarge on the Warner NH side..You drive half way up being cautious for walkers and other vehicles to a dirt parking lot..There are picnic tables for a nice picnic or to take in views...You can then decide to hike the other half to the summit for a 360 degree scenic breathtaking view 😎👍

The park opens 9 a.m to 5 p.m . 4 dollars a person. 65 and older free. Great hike and an amazing view at the top with picnic tables, fire tower and plenty of places to sit and rest and enjoy the view.

Oh. Oh oh oh. So beautiful. The views are incredible. There's restrooms & picnic tables right by/near/around on the parking area. From here, you have a few choices of trails. There's the "down & dirty" -- approx ½ mile moderate difficulty trail to the summit, but while it may be short, it's a tough uphill, rocky, unstable journey. Then there's the "Sunday afternoon" trail, a slow, long, easier walking trail to the summit. You can also choose some shorter explorations around the parking area. If you're feeling super adventurous, you can hike up to the summit and over to the other side (which will take you to the Winslow State Park, located in Wilmot). But you'd need a car parked at both locations unless you want to hike up & over the summit twice to return to Rollins State Park in Warner. Point is, there are plenty of options. You can hike up to the top of Mt Kearsarge from two different starting points. My personal suggestion is to start at Rollins State Park one day & make it a full day (or more, with camping) so you can truly enjoy the sights and sounds and peace Mother Nature has to offer. Either way, Mt Kearsarge offers some of the best views of numerous other mountains in all directions. You can't go wrong.

Great family hike. It is only about 1 mile to the summit of Mt Kearsarge and back. The Rollins Trail is the more family friendly trail. It is best to go up the Lincoln and down the Rollins. Caution: The rocks can be slippery when wet. Wear proper shoes.

Definitely worth the trip. The views are incredible and well worth the climb. We drove up and them took Rollins trail. It's very rocky and steep but so gorgeous. My little kids did fine.

Short moderate hike with an observation tower. Rollins trail had rocks and ledges but amazing views. Descending Lincoln trail to parking lot is very steep and almost all rock scrambles. We do love hiking here but I will stick with Rollins trail.

Great hike 2 different sides to park at. 1 is shorter half mile trails where the other is 1.1 to 1.8 miles

A very breathtaking park. I love New Hampshire and all that it has to offer. I’ve been here during the fall, winter, and now spring/summer. Mt Kearsarge was very beautiful and a quick trip for a quick hike.

We took a quick, short hike up Rollins trail and down Lincoln trail on Mt Kearsarge. Beautiful views at the top! Then we drove over to the other side to check out the trailhead.
