The Carriage House Restaurant

I've been to the castle many times but never to The carriage House to eat. The food was delicious. Our waitress Kat was great too. She has a great sense of humor. Can't wait to go back in warmer weather.

Simple, Hearty Cafe, in a Historic Setting

This is the restaurant for the "Castle in the Clouds;" we came for the Christmas event, had a cocktail as we waited for the trolley; and dinner after we finished the mansion tour.🎄

The Carriage House had literally been a carriage house🐴; and you'll be seated in decorated horse stalls: The entrance is inviting, with a large fireplace, and plenty of room to sit and wait. 🔥

The menu is very much a lunch menu, with burgers, salads, and soups: But the view, is unbelievable, and really, what we all come here for.

Enjoy lunch with a spectacular view! Their menu has something for everyone. You can choose between sandwiches, burgers, salads, or appetizers. The outdoor dining provides an amazing view of the surrounding mountains and lakes. Inside, you can learn about the history of the building and enjoy a meal.

I definitely recommend this place for lunch, drink or leasure snack. Menu is just right that everyone can choose to their liking. Meals tend to be light and more snack types rather then heavy sit down meals. Breath takin views from the restaurants terrace will help you enjoy your meal even better.

Lobsters roll is really good. You get the big chunk of claw and fresh taste of lobster and nice crispy butter bun all together is incredible! And Perfect view!

Very good lunch here. We ate on the balcony (the weather was nice) with a fantastic view of Lake Winnipesaukee and the valley. Make sure you know their hours as they are limited. Also, calling ahead can be a good idea as they may have weddings or other events which could impact your visit and timing.

Spoke w the chefs. They are experienced and care about what's offered and served. Started with clam chowder. Rich and excellent. Next 5-cheese Mac n cheese with pulled pork. Really nice. My wife had a Tomfoolery sandwich. Delicious. Outdoor view is breathtaking.

Sunday brunch, views spectacular, food excellent, service very good. Will definitely go again.

Great Burger and quick service. Try the hot cider with a shot of maple whiskey! Or a delicious IPA.

We celebrated a wedding here. Absolutely astonishing venue. The staff here did an amazing job coordinating everything and making the night very special. The views are obviously breathtaking and the building is perfectly set up for such events. Absolutely magical place!

Amazing view, decent service and delicious food! My boyfriend and I had a fantastic lunch on the terrace. Our waitress was super sweet. The lobster roll I had OMG the best one I’ve ever had in New England!! Its deliciousness just conquered my heart!! Highly recommended! Loved this restaurant!!

Went to the Castle for the first time today. Weather wasn't optimum, but it was all still very nice. The carriage house was neat.. Could feel that we were still actually in a stall! Very clean and tidy, tho. Food was hot and delicious.. and came quickly! Server was friendly and experienced. All in all a fantastic, memorable experience.
