My fave store to check out whenever I’m in the area, or also to make a trip to for gift shopping. Lots of beautiful home goods, candles, body care, fun cards, gifts, jewelry, a small but well curated clothing selection, which I often end up buying from, as well as art by local artists. I love how this is a welcoming, friendly community space & am so impressed with Edna’s curation & vision!

Hands down my favorite boutique in NJ! This store is definitely my happy place. I am here maybe twice a month (or more lol), sometimes to pick up a few essentials other times just to absorb the energy! The shop owner is such a delight. She is so sweet and accommodating. She also keeps the space fresh and fun with different events and features. I actually just stopped in yesterday to bring my MIL and ended up getting a tarot card reading. Truthfully one of my favorite places. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful space with us!

What a charming find! Just like the little gift shops of yesteryear on a town's main street. There are so many items to covet, new things to see and explore in every nook and cranny. From stunning costume jewelry, fashionable accessories, gifts for the home and more, you could spend at least an hour browsing. The owner, Edna, is warm and welcoming, giving you suggestions on where to find interesting items. She has curated quite a tasteful collection of gifts for almost every occasion. There is an art display as well in a gallery upstairs where she hosts periodic events open to the public. My only regret is that I don't live closer or I would stop by every week to see what new find Edna's discovered.

When you step into this beautiful place, guarantee you won't want to leave! From the magical atmosphere to the unique items in the store...it captivates you. The owner, Edna is a gem and is very knowledgeable and friendly about all the store has to offer. Please check it out and thank me later!

I walk through my Metuchen downtown often and stop into Edna's shop on my route. She always has a great assortment of gifts and the exhibits are unique and wonderful. Many feature local artists who are fortunate to have this venue. The shop is merchandised beautifully. The owner has great taste and vision. She is also very friendly and helpful.
I am so happy this shop has opened downtown and invite others to stop in.

I absolutely love visiting Papillon & Co! The space is refreshing and vibrant. The owner is amazingly hospitable and kind. New items and favorite staples are available during each visit to the store. I was introduced to the space by a friend and have been pleased with each visit. The upstairs portion of the building is a fabulous event space. I’ve attended a retreat there and the space was comfortable and stylish. Papillon & Company has something for every season and occasion, truly. That it’s Black woman owned is the cherry on top of the sundae!

Such a cozy shop with a variety of items from local artists. They have clothing, candles, jewelry, puzzles, vinyl, art, greeting cards, drink and dinnerware, etc. tho I’m sure their collection of items will change, items will come and go with time and artist/vendor availability. Very friendly service with no pressure to buy or feel like you are being stalked and watched like some other stores, overall it’s very laid back and comforting just to roam and look around. Iv been here twice in the last week just to look around on my walk downtown and both times I found unique items that brought me joy. This is a good place to buy gifts for friends and family. I wish there were more shops like this. It fits the area very well and makes me want to visit the downtown area of metuchen more. I urge everyone to visit this store and tell friends and family because I wish to see this place stay and thrive.

I experienced such a refreshing amount of customer service lol. The owner was so very nice along with everyone working in the store. I bought a great pair of socks- wearable art. There's a sick (good) exhibit upstairs and I'm so excited to see the next installment. :) eclectic and loving~

Papillon & Company is a beautiful shop! Edna has exquisite taste. I found beautiful furnishings, art, gifts, candles and soaps. You can find items for whatever budget you are working with. Edna is lovely, friendly and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this treasure of a shop!

I love this store, I love the owner, I like shopping there for gifts, to look at the art, that they change it up so that every time I am there if feels new and interesting. One of my all time favorite stores.

Great furniture shop! Kid-friendly. Great selection of modern and classic furniture. The owner is lovely and very passionate about her business. She gave great design recommendations also!

Beautiful and unique pieces you can't fine anywhere for your home you can get lost in there with all the things to looks at.

A nice shop to buy my gifts

I was attracted to the store because it looked cute and looked like it had some unique clothing/items. I was taken aback by the brash attitude from the female shopkeeper who kept being rude to me and assuring there was nothing there that would fit me or in my size. Even though I am a larger woman, I wouldn’t expect that kind of bigotry from a place that is trying to sell clothes, especially since the prices are not cheap at all! What kind of customer service is that, even though I saw some items that were cute, I will NEVER spend my money in a place that is bigoted and rude to certain types of customers.

I just left the shop. I really wanted to like this place. I used to walk on that street while it was closed during weekend and wondered what is inside. I purchased small gift for my friend but the associate who “ helped” me in register was extremely disrespectful . I have never felt invisible in any store like this before . She was talking to another customer that looks like she knew before while packaging my gift with an incredible uncomfortable tone. I even say thank you while leaving the store but she does not even bothered to say it back . Very disappointed. Never go back again .

The owner seemed disinterested, rude, and lazy regarding customers. I will never shop here again.
