MBG Catering

MBG catered our office party last week and the food was delicious. The big winner was the brisket, which melts in your mouth and had a yummy sauce. The BBQ chicken and honey grilled chicken were juicy and incredibly tasty as well. The green beans were still crunchy, which is how I like them to be, and the pasta primavera that was made without dairy was a great accompaniment to our meal. Tara was professional and a great communicator during the whole process of creating the menu, adjustments to delivery time, and during the actual delivery and set up. I would definitely consider using MBG Catering again for future events.

This week Jan 3rd, I order a fantastic meal for my office to kick off its return from the Holiday. There are no words to express how DOPE it was, but I will try. The care and eye to detail started with a call from Tara for clarity and to make sure there was an understanding of what I truly needed. 5 stars! The delivery was prompt, the packaging ,presentation, quantity and quality was as advertised....gourmet!
We here at Chobani, were completely blown away with the: Beef brisket, Grilled BBQ chicken, 4 cheese mac N cheese, the garlic green bean and the mixed salad. Hands down it was an amazing culinary experience.

We ordered brunch for 150 people. Island waffle and banana foster pancakes were a HIT! The shrimp and grits were delicious. Everyone at the office gave a thumbs up!

Tara was very responsive and her food was delicious. She provided catering for my Friendsgiving . She gave great feedback for the food pallet. My guest raved about her shrimp and overall loved the food. Everything was hot and she provided a-lot of things that’s caters normally don’t provide. I am looking forward to recommending Tara for future caterings

Used MBG to cater my my mothers 70th birthday party. I didn’t really know what I wanted to order or how much. Tara was very patient and helpful. She helped me to create a menu for the party. On the day of the event, the food was amazing! I had the oxtails, chicken, mac and cheese, empanadas green beans, rice and beans and plantains. All so good. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how good the food was. We will definitely use MBG in the future. I would highly recommend this business to anyone that asks!

I have been using MBG Catering services for several years now and could not be more pleased with both the quality of the food as well as Tara’s consistent level of professionalism. She has catered my large events (75 pple) and even my smaller events (8 pple). I employ her services multiple times a year for bbqs, school events, holidays, birthdays and so much more! Tara goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect and this summer even drove to the Hamptons to deliver food for my event because I simply trusted no one else but her to cater. Her food is beyond delicious and my friends and family continue to confirm just how talented and amazing she is! She simply does not disappoint!!

Tara is an amazing caterer. I booked her for my birthday bash and she did a phenomenal job! Very professional, organized, and friendly! You can tell that she loves her craft because it reflects in her work. Tara did an Amazing job catering my farewell bbq for my husband’s upcoming deployment. The food was so flavorful and the ribs fell off the bone. I also appreciated Tara’s professionalism. The food was a 10/10! My Belizean Gourmet catered a dinner at my job and the owner was very accommodating. This was my first experience eating authentic Belizean cuisine and the food was absolutely amazing. I’ve never had potato salad prepared that way and it was so creamy and delicious! The plantains were sweet, the rice and beans were seasoned well and the bread pudding was on point! I highly recommend them for your food and catering needs!

Tara catered our daughter’s graduation party, and everyone was raving about the food. Pulled pork, bbq chicken, Mac & cheese and collards, all DELICIOUS. Tara was responsive and helpful as I made my order, and on the day of, she arrived promptly. Definitely recommend!

My Belizean Gourmet is terrific! Our Company Thanksgiving luncheon has been catered by them for the past 4 years. Everything is always so delicious! Tara can cook ANYTHING you ask for! I have had some strange and last minute requests over the years and they have always come through. Not only is the food amazing but the service too! Always on time and hot!! We will continue to use them for many more years!

Tara and team did an amazing job catering a tailgate for our Alumni group at a Rutgers game. The food was great, and the communication ahead of time was amazing!!!! Absolutely would book again for another event!!!

I tried this place after seeing their IG page. The food looked amazing so I HAD to try. I was excited to read that they do take out on Thursdays and Fridays! I finally was able to make my way over there today................ Boy did they NOT disappoint! Their food was flavorful and rich ingredients! The mac and cheese was amazing and RICH! The fish was wonderfully battered and seasoned!!! And they gave a lot of food for only $8! I have a hefty appetite and had to eat it in 2 sessions! Amazing!!!!!! Everyone should try this place!!! I will be back for more!

My Belizean Gourmet catered my wedding on October 4, 2014. Having the food catered by My Belizean Gourmet was one of the best decision wedding decisions I made. Most places in Teaneck have only caribbean food or only soul food and I wanted to have the both styles of food for my wedding. My Belizean Gourmet fit exactly what I was looking for. From the time I walked through the door I knew that My Belizean Gourmet would be my wedding caterer. Tara is such a sweetheart and was very accommodating even when the guest list went from an estimate of 175 wedding guests to a final count of 259 wedding guests. My wedding menu consisted of stew goat, grilled chicken, barbecue chicken, baked salmon with a thai chili sauce, baked macaroni and cheese, rice and beans, yellow rice, collard greens with smoked turkey, and mixed vegetables. My husband and I had a tasting of the food and everything was immaculate. The grilled chicken, stew goat, and rice and beans had great flavor. In general, I do not like barbecue chicken but even that was really good. The collard greens and mixed vegetables were well-seasoned and the yellow rice was well-cooked. The salmon was the talk of our wedding menu (which was my favorite also). All of our guests loved the food and are still talking about the salmon to this day! We've also had a few of our guests use My Belizean Gourmet for their own events after the wedding.

Delish!!!! The best macaroni and cheese I ever had. My Belizean Gourmet catered an event for me. I turned out to have a smaller turnout than the food I ordered! However, the food was all gone. I got compliments all night from my guest saying how great the food was! The owner was professional, had great suggestions and was on time with the delivery. Would definitely recommend them!

Just ordered lunch special ...fried chicken w cornbread and honey spiced sauce and it was amazing. Perfectly seasoned and very tasty.. The delivery service was also awesome. Food I’ve had so far has been excellent. The mac n cheese and banana pudding is DELICIOUS! and my fave so far. Highly recommend. In addition, MBG was generous enough to donate a tray of food for a toy drive I helped organize. Thank you Tara. You guys rock!!!

Tara is the best. She arrived early...helped complete the set up and the food was a blast from the past, full of flavor. Simply AMAZING! Thank you for helping make my dad's 65th birthday one to remember.
