I loved our stay here. Staff's were so friendly and very accommodating. it felt very private and personal. Everything was so well decorated and very cozy with multiple fire places.
Rooms were exceptional with beautiful views. All the wood paneling and cozy interiors made our stay very warm.
If you are looking for somewhere very private and memorable, I would say this is it! Pool and hot pool was perfect after skiing.

I also loved Hotels personal message and small accommodations for our special celebration. Cant wait to return!

This older hotel with lots of wood paneling and an authentic Adirondack atmosphere is on tranquil Mirror Lake (the town of Lake Placid with its 1980 Olympics site is on Mirror Lake, the "Lake Placid" lake is a couple of hundred yards away) with great views of the lake and the town. It's also on a dedicated walkway that circumnavigates the lake and conveniently goes through the older parts of the town. The whole area is blissfully safe (except for skiers--black diamond trails galore).
It has phenomenal staff, a 24hr/365 day wood burning open fireplace in a lounge, spa, indoor pool and hot tub, and the best restaurant in the area.
It's cozy in winter and romantic year round.
We've been visiting for over 25 years with kids and as a couple and have never been disappointed.

My husband and I have now had the great pleasure of being guests at Mirror Lake Inn twice. It is exceptional. The inn is gorgeous - beautifully and thoughtfully appointed, comfortable, cozy, luxurious. The service is impeccable. Both The View and The Cottage serve the most delicious food. I truly cannot recommend Mirror Lake Inn enough.

Gorgeous inn. Full of character. Their lobby was beautiful with tons of cozy places to sit as well as complimentary coffee, tea, water, and cookies. The pool and hot tub room was gorgeous. Friendly staff. Parking can be a bit tricky, so its best to plan to just walk around town once you're there. Plenty of awesome businesses in walking distance.

My wife and I stayed here and had an amazing experience! The location was great! We parked our car and walked into the town of Lake Placid. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Rooms were clean and spacious.

Great Spa experience. Staff are extremely friendly.
Locker room are really clean. I really like the complimentary razors to have a fresh shave after treatments, hottube and steamroller.
Excellent experience.

I've stayed in three different large hotel/lodges in Lake Placid recently and Mirror Lake Inn is by far the best and most charming. You can't beat the view and location. We even had a great view of the lake from our room, which was in the back building. Our room had a lovely little sitting area and was a decent size. All the vintage photos and decor were so charming. The porches, sitting areas, and living rooms are so charming for hanging out to read, have drinks with friends, or just admire the view. The outdoor pool was ok, but the indoor pool and hot tub were spectacular!! Even the gift shop downstairs was cute and had great items! The service at this hotel really is the best, too. I can't wait to go back!

As always Mirror Lake Inn is our go to place just before the holidays. The Inn is always decorated so nice for Christmas. The room was very comfortable and the view of Mirror Lake and the Adirondacks...wow! Thanks again for another enjoyable stay. Jim & Andrea.

Absolutely stunning resort! The hotel itself is beautiful - not to mention the views of course! My boys loved the indoor pool and hot tub, as well as the chocolate chip cookies provided nightly! The resort is perfectly situated within a short walking distance from the main strip. The beach across the street is lovely and even though we didn't get to swim in the water due to weather, we enjoyed visiting nonetheless. Would highly recommend the Mirror Lake Inn to anyone visiting the Lake Placid area.

Great place for a vacation due to the close location to town. A Lakeview room is a MUST, since the rooms are dated, yet very clean. You have to step into the bathtub to take a shower and there is only one sink to share in the bathroom. You hear the ppl above you and next to you so hopefully you dont get a screaming baby like we did.
The front desk is always there to help, the cookies, which are free and always present are wonderful. The fireplace and large comfortable furniture in the lobby invites to just sit and relax. Breakfast is good and plentiful and reasonably priced considering the smoked salmon which is served in over abundance. The coffee is fresh and hot and tastes great. The pool area is amazing, so is the Hot Tub. We spent some real quality time in the pool area and met great ppl. The service in this hotel is SUPERB.
WE HIGHLY recommend a stay in this place...the beach area with the 4 Adirondack chairs on the deck are a great way to start the day.

This was amazing, I loved my stay here. The pool was always peaceful, so was the hot tub and sauna. The view was amazing and after the snow became even batter.

Top notch, this is pricey but a hidden gem and worth every penny. Our server Katie was excellent, very attentive and a pleasure to speak with. The food was excellent. The atmosphere and scenery of the lake was spectacular. Romantic and quaint while being elegant.

Very cozy, quiet, and wonderful place for a getaway. The staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, and respectful. The onsite restaurant, The View, was fantastic. Rooms are recently renovated and very clean and comfortable. The multiple common areas around the main hotel are cozy and inviting and encourage relaxation. The pool, spa, and sauna areas were great for a day of refreshment. We will certainly be back!

Added bonus was a talk by a local bird expert complete with 3 rescued owls. Kids loved it too!

Unbelievably beautiful. Rooms so nice with views of lake. Food superb! Wait staff fabulous.

We really enjoyed the Mirror Lake Inn. We were especially surprised the food in the restaurant was so good…. We ate the both nights we were there, fantastic. Spa was excellent too.

Great service, homey, relaxing, lots of included amenities, great sleeps in the peace and quiet. Great food, excellent views everywhere, great central location, giant indoor fireplace for cozy evenings, interesting conversations with other guests and long time fans, outdoor fireplace and games, salt therapy, indoor and outdoor pools, lots of watercraft on the lake

This resort is an absolute dream. My girlfriend and I visited for a weekend during her birthday and the service, attention to detail, and welcoming environment were second to none. The town is awesome for exploring and there are great hikes / trails nearby, but we honestly could’ve spent the time at Mirror Lake Inn and have had no issues. I 100% recommend staying here for a visit to Mirror Lake or Lake Placid. Thanks to the entire staff for a great stay!

My daughter took me as a Christmas gift and it was magical. As soon as you walk up their stunning stairway the smells of Christmas wrapped you like a gift. The fireplace was wood burning and was enjoyed in two well appointed rooms. Inside and outside was an inviting Christmas wonderland. Our room was perfectly decorated with a spacious seating area overlooking Mirror Lake, 700,000 lights adorn the trees and of course the Adirondack Mountains. Everyone was doting and pleasant even the other guests were in an especially great mood. Seriously, how can you not be? Special shout out to house keeping, grounds keepers, decorators, and maintenance.
