My son has a great ear for Music, but he was playing the piano using the wrong fingers, and Michael helped him so much to retrain all his muscle memory in his hands to now using the correct fingers. My son also take singing lessons from Michael. There are not words to express the kind of person that Michael is. If you want your child,teenager, or you’re just looking to start or improve your music career. I would not hesitate to suggest going to Michael and having him as your teacher. I usually don’t write reviews but the special people like Michael. It’s my pleasure.

It's never too late to learn guitar! I picked up the guitar during Covid and tried self teaching myself through YouTube videos. Learned a song or 2 but didn't learn the actual instrument. I've heard great things about Michael Mingoia Music and tried a free lesson. Well that was 1 year ago and I've been taking lessons with Michael 1X a week. Michael is very patient and breaks down the lessons in easily understandable ways all the while keeping me engaged by teaching me songs that I never though I could ever learn. Music didn't come natural for me and Michael wrote an individualized lesson plan around my personal learning style. Michael is also a super nice and down to earth guy. His studio is super cool in fact professional musicians come there to practice and record music. Michael is also a jack of all instruments and is a professional composer and singer. A really talented guy that takes a personnel interest in his students. I've seen students of all ages come for lessons. Kids, Teens, Adults, and even older folk. Michael has really created a good reputation for himself and all his business comes from referrals. I highly recommend Michael Mingoia Music for vocal training, guitar, drums, composing, piano, and song writing. Michael has made many students stars so I'm happy to provide this 5 star review.

Michael Mingoia Music has changed the way I look at music for the better. I love to sing and have since I was a young girl. Besides being incredibly talented and knowledgeable in his field, Michael is extremely supportive and gracious in his teaching. My daughter started with Michael at 7 years old until 13. He helped her with her shyness and prepared her for her theater production when she sang the lead. He also attended her show for support. She took piano lessons as well with Michael, where he made it fun. Challenging her with little test and games. She is now 18 and I can honestly say there times she sits at the piano and can remember things he taught her. He has definitely done his job well! He is a wonderful teacher and mentor. Michael is extremely knowledgeable in multiple instruments, in addition to being an amazing vocal teacher. If you are fortunate enough to work with Michael, you would see his encouragement and attentiveness would only make you want to work harder. He’s always striving to get the best out of his students and never discourages them. Anyone would be foolish not pursue their musical career with him.
My daughter and I remain friends with Michael and he is still, until this day, encouraging my daughter. I appreciate his friendship and look fondly upon the time he spent with her. Thank you Mike for being such a wonderful roll model to my daughter and friend to us both.

We are so lucky to have found this studio and Michael. Ava wasn’t enrolled in any activity’s for a while mostly because she didn’t show an interest in the typical dance, gymnastics, or soccer that most kids her age were doing. I knew she always liked to sing so I searched for singing lessons in my area. Thankfully Michael was open to working with an 8year old who had zero experience in a real studio. Ava was a little nervous prior to meeting Michael but as soon as they sang together during the first lesson she was instantly hooked. We increased her half hr lesson once a week to an hour each week and couldn’t be happier. Michael is very professional, and is a great communicator. He even shares lesson plans and things for Ava to work on during the week. If your child likes to sing enjoys music and you’re thinking of lessons this is the place to go.

Last night was my first recording experience (and first time singing in front of anyone else other than myself). Michael & Patrick (Videographer) were so welcoming, super knowledgeable, friendly and supportive which made me feel at ease and allowed me to perform my best. I went into this session wanting to learn about the recording process and what it entails. I received exactly that, and much more at Michael Mingoia Music. Michael was super easy to work with and very understanding, and was flexible in terms of respecting my perfectionist-like mindset. Michael’s response time before our scheduled session was impeccable despite his busy schedule and was super happy to answer all of my questions (and addressing/easing my qualms with the process). The studio was really cool, warm vibes; it felt like home. For anyone who is passionate about music, and wants to have an experienced guide/artist supporting you along the way; I’d highly recommend booking a recording session with Michael!

My 8 year old has been working with Michael and I am so excited to see the learning she has been doing. She grows from every lesson. Michael is an amazing teacher. He teaches her in a way that is exciting and interesting so that it doesn’t feel like work. Her technical skills using her voice have expanded and almost better than that her confidence in herself and her enthusiasm for music is on fire. My daughter and I both look forward to the weekly lessons. Michael is a gem of a teacher and just an all round great, kind, generous human being.

My granddaughter expressed an interest in singing lessons. I’ve always known she had a sweet voice from our sing-alongs in the car or at church. However when she sings in front of anyone else you can barely hear her. After only three lessons with Michael Mingoia she has learned the techniques to project her sound and her go from full voice to head voice back to full voice. Today she auditioned for her glee club which she has wanted to do for the last three years Michael has given her the skills and confidence to make this hope a reality. I can’t wait to see the singer she’ll become after years of his tutelage and encouragement.

Michael has been my vocal teacher for many years now. He coached me during my time at School of Rock and has also prepared me for my vocal audition for College. Every lesson we have together i notice huge improvements with my voice! He is so nice and knowledgeable and really knows what he is doing. Michael has been an amazing vocal and guitar coach for our high schooler. He has not only taught her well but has brought out confidence in her that we have never seen before! A month ago she would not sing in front of anyone and yesterday she recorded a beautiful song under Michael’s direction at a recording studio. We got to witness the whole process and she has shared her recording with many family members! We are so proud of what she has accomplished under Michael’s direction and are excited to see her progress. We highly recommend Michael, who is a skilled musician and overall great teacher!

So, I’ve been in the music business for a while and have had lessons including vocal from great instructors. Michael’s teaching surpasses all that I have ever experienced. He is fully grounded from classical/operatic to Broadway and to today’s skill sets. He incorporates all techniques for your ground lessons and then personalizes your lesson to meet your particular goals. Professional and more importantly to me, personable, so that you feel like your being taught by a friend.

He utilizes modern, innovative strategies in his instructions and makes learning fun. He taught all 4 of my children, including my son that has Autism. He individualized the lessons to maximize each of their strengths and address their specific difficulties so they each could overcome and do better.
