Union Block Italian at the Landing

I was looking for a restaurant while traveling through Penn Yan, and I found Union Block. The reviews say it all. The food is fantastic as well as the service. We enjoyed Lobster Mac and Cheese and Chicken Parm. I had a hard time selecting with so many great options on the menu. They serve excellent garlic bread with whole garlic and olive oil, all covered with parmesan cheese. Delicious. They also have excellent wine and beer choices. Our server Ashley was great. We did not have a reservation for our party of 6, but they were able to accommodate us on a Saturday. Night. I would come back again. Loved it!

We had a delicious meal and great service at Union Block Italian in Penn Yan. Fresh pasta and salad dressings made in house. A small bistro with big panache! Highly recommend!

The waitress Juanita was wonderful! We had spinach lasagna and a glass of wine each. The moscato was extremely good and I kind of wish I had a second glass. Portions were good for the price we paid and don’t get me started on the awesome bread service.

We went to celebrate my son’s 30th birthday and had an amazing experience from the minute we walked through the door. With the stone walls and old wood features it took me back some of the small restaurants from my trip to Italy.

The chicken piccata was to die for! My son and his wife are vegetarians and had plenty of choices. They had the Bianca pizza and the Kale, garlic and cherry pepper pasta. We also had the Spicy Chicken Riggies, and the Italiano pizza. All were very, very good.
And as you can see from the dessert photo, we didn’t enjoy it at all! All were decadent!!

Italian American classics worth every calorie. The garlic bread was TO DIE FOR. Clams with white wine and garlic were incredible. Fresh Caesar wedge. The fra diavolo was quite devilish with a KICK. Super yummy and friendly service.

Excellent atmosphere and staff. Foid was very good, although the long sauce was simple.

The food is amazing. Ultra thin chicken and sausage pizza is excellent. The lasagna is generous and has spinach in the layers which is a great addition. The lemon mascarpone cake was light and flavorful. The tiramisu was perfect. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Delicious food clean excellent service. My husband and I spent the weekend in Penn yan NY and this resturant was minutes away from our Motel. When we arrived the hostess explained they were understaffed. You would never have known!! The service we received was the best I ever have had. The resturant was crowded. But... no waiting! All the serves were working as a team so we had more then one server as did everyone. The food was delicious
I recommend the chicken Riggies and you have a choice of spicy or non spicy. I chose spicy and it was the right amount of spice. I had a lemon drop cocktail. I highly recommend. The house salad was delicious and once again your choice of greens. I recommend the baby greens nice and tender. We ordered teramusu to bring back to the motel.(sorry no pic) which was the real Italian teramusu. The right amount of coffee and cream and a nice big serving.

A very hidden and delicious gem in Penn Yan. My local friends suggested this place and we went there with big noisy group of people. Everyone was super friendly and the food was surprisingly tasty. Interesting cocktail selection too. I'll definitely be heading back here next time need a good meal in PY.

Old Fashioned, there's a drink with Violet Liquor, the bar tender is crafty as well.
Dinner was great. Seafood was fresh and faster, pasta had great texture and flavor

My chicken picatta was perfect and large portions for take out. The capers was not salty or had too much lemon. It was perfect. The mash was so creamy and delicious and the broccoli soak in the lemon butter sauce so it was so tasty. The chicken was cooked to perfection even though they were closing and mine was their last order. FYI, they close early during weekdays at 8pm not 9pm stated on google. 9pm is weekends. Linguine white clam sauce was very fragrant with herbs. The clams was fresh and the garlic bread with parmesan was the best I had.

I lived in Northern NJ and have been missing the great restaurants of the NYC area. No more. Union Block ranks up there with the best of them. Initially, we were ordering Chinese for Keuka Delivers (highly recommend this delivery service). Then noted Union Block. The price for our meals ended up being the same for both places, yet Union Block offers generous portions and everything is so fresh. Beet Salad, Insalata Caprese with basil and mozzarella that was fresh. Fettucini with Clams Bianco. The croutons on the salad were huge. 1/2 portions are sufficient for one person, unless you are sharing. Do not miss this fantastic slice of Italy!!

Great locally owned Italian restaurant. Cozy atmosphere and great outdoor dining area overlooking the Keuka Outlet. Food was fantastic and great service. Well worth the trip!

Very unique spot located on the canal, nice patio, great bar, best garlic bread I’ve ever had. The staff is great, the food even better! Definitely returning next summer.

Atmosphere was great, although you could think this was a little loud the seats are intimate and lighting is romantic, almost a peak into real little Italy. The food speaks for itself, filet cuts like butter, and is quite refreshing in an area that is difficult to find such a steak. In a statement this place is amazing for a date night and could rival wonderful restaurants in the states I have been in. However this is our first time and only the best are consistent.

Excellent, my carbonara pasta was delicious. A fun, lively spot. Prices were just right.

They went above and beyond to help me with a surprise dinner for my mom. I flew in from Vegas and they got to go food together for me before they opened so I could take it home to my parents.

The food and service were excellent! The restaurant was recommended by a friend who had previously travelled to the Finger Lakes region and we really enjoyed the experience.
