Purchased the new 2023 GTI today. Since the first time I came here Ian is so nice and patient to answer all our questions and requests throughout. The manager Ben is very professional and reasonable, Derek is very patient too. They are such a great and nice team to work with.

I was scheduling the appointment for Friday night and we had to cancel unexpectedly. I was able to reschedule for Saturday and met with Lewis. Lewis was very professional, friendly and polite. There was no pressure and the purchase was made. Justin and Ed were as professional and friendly. The showroom was very clean as well as the office areas. I would recommend this dealership for making a car purchase.

The car buying experience is understandably difficult. However, Germain Volkswagen of Columbus exceeded our expectations tremendously. After test driving maybe 5-10 vehicles, my wife and I had our eyes on the Volkswagen Atlas to fit our growing family. Upon arriving at Germain Volkswagen, we were greeted by David who showed us the vehicle we were looking at, allowed us to test drive, and answered any questions that had. After allowing us to go home and discuss our options (loved the no-pressure aspect of this sales approach), we decided the 2019 Atlas at Germain was the one for us. I went back in solo the next day, talked numbers, and was out the door with our new-to-us vehicle in about 3 hours. This did feel like a lot of time, but the waiting room was comfortable and I enjoyed checking out the cars in the showroom. As a female in her 20's, I could have easily been taken advantage of given my lack of knowledge in the car buying space. However, I am confident that I received a great deal. I was offered a fair price on my trade in, and I know the vehicle I took home is reliable and inspected for safety and quality. I would recommend anyone to check out this dealership and ask for Davids help. My family and I will definitely be back in a few years when we are ready to trade our second vehicle in.

Really helpful team. They honored their online trade valuation. Let me explain the financing deal I was looking for and helped me find it. Sent everything out in writing before I came in for test drive. Katelynn was very helpful online and Lewis was very helpful at the store. Highly recommend.

After a long week of searching for my first new vehicle, getting the run around and just generally being disappointed with most other car companies and what they are offering I went into Volkswagen with low standards. After a few minutes talking with Lewis jones I was amazed with the professionalism and friendliness from him and his whole team. They made sure we were comfortable and attended to, and also explained every step of the process very clearly and direct. Justin Southern helped me understand the finance process front to back and made sure I got exactly what I wanted and even more at an amazing price. The car I chose was cheaper than all other similar styles I had been looking at from other car companies and came with more options too! What a great team! Had issues with my VW Atlas Cross Sport after having purchased from another dealer. Worked with Dan on the Service Team; he worked continually to resolve on my behalf with the other dealer (they were completely in the wrong and even admitted it). Fast forward weeks later, and all is good with the car (not with the other dealership, unfortunately). Can't say enough good things about Dan and how much he helped. Ask for him - you won't regret it!

Everyone at Germain was so personable, warm, friendly, and helpful. I'd like to give a special shout out to Michael, our salesperson, and Nick, who went out of his way to assist Michael and make sure we had everything we needed. Michael was very knowledgeable and patient throughout the buying process. It felt like we were talking to a friend. Nick saved the day by making sure we didn't drive off in our new car without our garage door opener. We couldn't be happier with our experience at Germain!

Only minor ding was the time estimate for the service was way over. It was presented over the phone as many hours and ended up being just over an hour. Eh, ended up being able to hit Costco afterward, so I'm not that bummed.

The whole experience was absolutely wonderful! I originally went last Saturday to the Germain Subaru dealership to look at a vehicle, only to find out someone else had beat me to it. Phil Snyder from Subaru reached out to me on Monday to inform me of another vehicle that came into the VW dealership. Although Phil couldn’t work with me directly because he had another client, he made sure I was all set up with everything I needed. So, I went & looked at the vehicle on Wednesday & absolutely loved it, so I decided to purchase it. David Steele, another employee from Subaru, assisted me with the whole buying process & it was an amazing experience! He was very professional & incredibly knowledgeable! I did have to wait a bit to see the finance manager, Justin, but everything was well worth it. Justin was very cordial & thorough with all the signing of the paperwork. All in all, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! If you are in the market for a new or used vehicle, I highly recommend buying from Germain VW or Subaru!

If you want excellent customer service go here! Adam (Sales Manager) and Nick (Service Department Representative) turned a highly negative situation with a prepaid VW Care package into a positive. It’s no exaggeration to say that they saved a loyal VW customer relationship when VW of America miserably failed to do so on their own! Please be sure to reward them with your business. I know that I will be back.

TLDR…
For context, I purchased a new 2017 Passat SEL with the VW Care (10k, 20k, & 30k Prepaid Services) and VW Care Plus 1 (40k & 50k Prepaid Services) for an additional ~$910. Today I brought my VW in for it’s 40k service and was very professionally told by Nick that all of my Prepaid service vouchers were expired and that I would either need to pay out of pocket or contact VW Customer Care to remedy the issue. After 40+ minutes on hold and and 20+ minutes of researching and escalating I was told by the VW Customer Representative that her supervisor said there is nothing that VW of America can do to reactivate or refund the vouchers on the unused VW Care Plus 1 agreement (~$498).

It is worth mentioning that at the time of purchase there was no mention by the Sales or Finance department members [from at that time Hatfield VW, later purchased by Germain] that the VW Care Packages have an expiration date after which VW of America is not legally obligated to pay for the service for which I was prepaying, rather this tidbit was buried in a two-line paragraph on page 3 of a 4 page agreement provided at the time of financing. At minimum, collecting money for future services, but refusing to provide them because of circumstances unknown and outside of the control of the consumer is unethical and poor customer service. However I will definitely be filing a BBB complaint against VW of America, as agreements written like this should not even be legal!

Just when you’re about to lose your faith in humanity this is where Nick saves the day by introducing me to Adam who on behalf of Germain VW strikes a mutually agreeable remedy to this matter. Thanks to both of them for stepping up and making a bad day into a better one.

Aaron was a huge help. This was the first true car experience that went smoothly. I usually dread going to the car dealership but aaron made the transition very stress free and easy. Would highly recommend this dealership.
