Amazing owners and atmosphere. Incredible selection of vinyl. Don't sleep on their book section either. Stop in and you're guaranteed to find something you love.

So thankful a record store like this actually still exists. My son has been shopping here for years and I finally went in with him. Honestly, it's probably a good thing I don't live closer. They have a TON of excellent condition ECM records, carry a huge selection of modern indie vinyl and even stock CDs. On a recent trip I picked up a 2024 ECM release on CD, a half dozen used CDs all in excellent condition including a rare Keith Jarrett trio disc I had been looking for, the latest from Molchat Doma on Vinyl and about a dozen other vintage and modern Vinyl records. Had a brilliant chat with one of the gents working behind the counter and he even turned me on to an upcoming concert where I could see one of the artists , who's work I was purchasing . Incredible place. absolute 5 star

Always a great browse! Brought in some records and Cds to sell. They bought a few. Good cash price and deducted our purchases. We will be back for another look soon!

Incredible record store. Everyone who works there is friendly and more importantly to me KNOWLEDGEABLE in all music especially metal and Psych!

Unexpectedly they had stock of albums that I was looking for for months that the labels site and bands website were sold out of .

Shake It is always fantastic, surrounded by a great atmosphere, and music just warms you up. The crew there is exceptional, knowledgeable, and very welcoming. I always look forward to stopping in!

Cool spot!
The upstairs has all the wax you'd want separated by genre and alphabetized pretty accurately. The basement has the world, reggae, 12" singles, and jazz sections. They also have the budget LPs down there hitting for like $1-$2. I pulled a few gems from all over the store. Walked out with 2 small boxes. The employees were cool enough. I asked one if they had a discogs page, and I guess he thought I asked if they give discounts? He was like, 'yeah, for regular customers'...pause...pause again, lol. I'd love a discount, but I also know brick and mortar spots need they loot. I'm willing to pay full price. Peep this store if you're in the area. Peace!

In store Lukas Nelson acoustic set was awesome. Called ahead to save a cd to get autographed and they had it when I arrived. Plus picked up autographed album as well. Looking forward to my next visit.

So many records!!! Some of the prices are absurd IMO. That seems to be the case everywhere though. Nice employees. Best record store I've been to.

They have a great selection of new and used records, and the staff is very friendly. I've gotten most of my collection from Shake It.

Had the largest selection of vinyls I've ever seen in a store. They had a little bit of everything, great stop for music lovers. Will definitely come back again!

A BIG “thank you” to the owner of Shake It Records for coming to the rescue of a damsel in distress yesterday! Got out of our Uber to find the sole had come off my shoe, we were attending a wedding around the corner from the store and was wandering around the neighborhood trying to find somewhere to buy some glue, everywhere was closed! After overhearing us, he helped glue my shoe, let my husband wash up and saved the day! Thanks for being my “Prince Charming”! Cinderella from Indiana!

billy was super friendly and helpful when I brought in an old record player that hadn’t been touched in 30+ years (family heirloom of sorts). Helped me find a new needle and gave me tons of helpful advice for cleaning it up—he was super knowledgeable, patient, and honest. I learned so much about that player from him that I previously didn’t know. Highly recommend this store if you are in the market for new albums (they have a massive selection) or if you need some of the basics (needles, belt change, etc)!

Best record store in Cincinnati. A couple good measures... big t-shirt selection, used The Bug record, used Tash Sultana record... nuff said!

You walk in to friendly faces and thousands of good finds. Prices are right on for the records, with the rarer finds being priced at market price (with maybe a few bucks added since it's a brick and mortar store). I'll be back for sure - especially since my wife found more records than I did!
