Buck Meadows Lodge

The location is perfect for Yosemite and still close to Groveland for food and drinks. The Lucky Buck cafe is adorable. We stayed in a cabin and it’s so clean and modern and the staff TRULY went above and beyond for us and saved our anniversary trip! We will be back for sure!

Very quiet and peaceful place to stay away from everything great I would highly recommend.

Unfortunately i didn't took pictures of the room, but us seems like they just remodeled the room. At least my room surpass my expectations, it was very clean, and like i said, almost everything look new, i really like it, definitely recommend it and at that price (108.00 +tax and fees) definitely coming back. Also, they have a nice restaurant, we have a great dinner and is a fair price.

I had a great stay here while visiting Yosemite.
My experience was perfect: my room was quiet, fairly large, very clean and tidy, water in the shower was warm and the shower head had proper flow, the WiFi worked well and was free, bed was comfy, parking right outside the room which I find convenient, A/C’s heating was perfect for the cold night, and it was available for a very reasonable cost!

There’s a nice diner on the premises; I had a conventional and delicious burger but they actually had a whole menu’s-worth of vegan / vegetarian options which isn’t common. Definitely better quality food than anything you’ll find in the park.

Also note that the hotel registration is at the adjacent hotel. Presumably the same owners? At any rate getting the card was quick and dropping it off in a box is the sum total of the checkout activities.

Would gladly stay here again whenever I return to the area.

Exceeded my expectations. I just needed a night before a Hetch Hetchy backpacking trip and expected something very old and basic but it had to have been recently updated. The room was modern and clean with good air conditioning and bathroom, larger refrigerator than expected and excellent location with the Lucky Buck restaurant. It was conventient to the Big Oak Flat entrance to Yosemite and Hetch Hetchy. It was very hot so a dip in the pool at their sister property next door, the Yosemite Westgate Lodge, was lovely. There were tables outside where you could eat or relax. Great place.

Rooms were quiet and nice, diner was friendly with great food. No complaints. Would definitely stay here again!

Stopped to charge my car after the crazy climb up on the way to Yosemite. Staff at the little attached restaurant were super friendly, and the space looked very homey.

This place is great! The room was clean and appeared recently remodeled. It had all the modern conveniences. There is a great restaurant on property. It's about a 15-minute drive to the entrance of Yosemite. What more could you want?

What a great lodge. Large room, very comfy beds. The only downside was the bathroom door definitely needs some wd-40. But the lodge was quaint and we had a nice time!!

Tasty food, friendly stuff, nice atmosphere and a good locatuon between Yosemite and Groveland. The 49er Burger was delicious with bacon mushrooms and jalapeños. I would definitely stop there again next time I'm in the area.

Ate here while staying next door at the Westgate Lodge. The food here was delicious. For the only real food option around while staying in this area, it did not disappoint in the slightest. Breakfast service was quick and friendly; we always made the bus to Yosemite Valley on time. The dinner options were delightfully delicious as well. I would definitely recommend the braised short ribs!

So close to Yosemite National Park! The rooms are lodge-like on the outside and have a modern/remodeled feel on the inside. Location allows you to get to the park early and beat the crowds. I would definitely go back! Oh, and the restaurant is pretty good too!

Spent 2 nights in fall 2018. Great place to stay when visiting yosemite. The room was fine and the price okay, but the food was extraordinary good! We went to the restaurant both days and ate the best burgers in our whole 4 week USA journey (believe me, I tried many ;))

Came here for dinner twice during visit to Yosemeti Valley. The waitresses are friendly though the restaurant is packed all the time. Food are average looking at the crowds.
The Buck Meadow Lodging is now under new management from Yosemeti Westgate and all the rooms are newly renovated (in fact the exterior wall are still wet when we checked in). The gas station is permanently closed.

Lucky Buck restaurant offers gluten free options on their menu. We tried low carb summer special and it was delicious. Friendly atmosphere and attentive service.

Really friendly waitress simple food the rooms have been up dated since the photos on google , rooms much better than we expected. I didn’t like my meal the server found me something I liked ! Great service!

Diner was a pleasant surprise. 49er burger came with an excelent beef, super-crispy bacon, home-made fries from an actual potato and a coleslaw that wasn't soaking in mayo. One of the best burgers I've eaten on the west coast - from LA all the way up to Prince Rupert.

Even better than we'd expected! This is the closest place to stay to Yosemite Valley from the Big Oak Flat entrance. We were nervous because they called it the more economic option compared to the sister site, which is basically connected to it. But it was absolutely perfect, clean, comfortable, and we could us the pool, jacuzzi and other amenities of the more expensive accomodations. There is also a really good restaurant there. Lucky Buck. I wish we had booked for more than one night!

Great value, modern interior, fast wifi, way better than I was expecting for the price, EV DC fast charging via Electrify America, perfect if exploring the hetch hetchy area
