Long John Silver's

This is one of two Long John Silver's left in California that is a stand alone restaurant. There were once many of them in the Bay Area back then. I have so many memories eating here as a child with my family every few months.
The food was super fresh and the staff was super friendly. Took a little bit to get my food. Some people would think that's a problem. Me, on the other hand.... That means fresh food that's made to order! Heck I wouldn't even care if it took 15 to 20 minutes! Food tasted fresh from the fried to the slaw... I'm definitely coming back when I visit the Sacramento area again!

Food is always served fresh and hot. Don't let the outside appearance deter you from good food. Building could use some fresh paint but doesn't impact the quality of food!

The best fish and chips in Sacramento. Food always taste so good. Friendly workers. I highly recommend this place for fish and chips craving.

Recently visited this branch and I kid you not the experience was phenomenal! The staff was very patient with me. They explained to me all the menu and the deals. The food was literally ready in no time. My personal favourite was the shrimp bowl!! Long john silver can just NEVER go wrong with seafood. Period. Will be definitely goingg AGAINNN!! This is going to be my go-to place whenever I am craving fish! The plus is that there is huge hall for partiesss!!

I went to pick up some dinner for my family yesterday, 12/19/2023. The cashier was super nice and friendly. And super fast! I had my full order in like 3-4 minutes! The food was fresh, hot and delicious. I live almost 30 mins away and this was worth the drive.

I haven't eaten here in a while. I did enjoy my food and the counter person was great.
Would recommend to others. Yummy!!!

I don't go very often, but when I am craving fish & chips, this is my go to spot. Always delicious. This location is very well taken care.

This was a nostalgic experience for me, I'm not often in a place where theres Long John's, however I was in California and felt like rekindling my youth. It has been more than 20 years since I last had this fare. Had the fish and shrimp combo. The slaw was delicious. The fries were good. The fish was ok, it wasnt fried from raw I can tell you that, however it was good, crispy and perfect amount of coating. The shrimp were also ok, crispy but also not really fresh. They include these fried salty bits which was a nice touch. The tartar was good, the ketchup is not branded ketchup. Overall for only having to wait 5 mins, you get what you get. I would be back, for a quick on the go spot, its good. Good price.

I hadn't been here in years, this was my favorite spot as a kid. They did not disappoint one bit. The food was so fresh, and hot. Not at all greasy or soggy. Biting in to a hush puppy was like biting in to a childhood memory. 10/10 will smash again.

I was rude and not what a customer should be and yet I was treated with a polite and friendly response. The manager is to be complimented on his interaction with me. The food was just as it should be and I want all to know this is a site that wants to please and if given a chance, do so very well. Thank you.

Close to home & convenient...staff always friendly courteous & prompt; ordered cod & shrimp platter as well as salmon tacos, with a couple sides of hush puppies & of course, 🍟 The in-dining area is quite cute; most folks choose the drive-thru, however, if I come to LJS with a friend, I'd be more inclined to eat in-house...quaint & quiet surroundings. 4-☆☆☆☆ rating 😀

Very consistent food here, like the old school LJS. The restaurant is dated, but it is always clean, especially the bathroom, soda machine, and the utensil/sauce bar. Staff is friendly and professional, always helpful. I love LJS and it is difficult to find these places anymore.

The service was excellent!!! We ordered two Seafood Platters and the food was so Hot and Fresh tasting!!! We drove 45 minutes to satisfy my craving for Fish, Shrimp and Clams; let’s not forget the fresh hot fries and delicious Hush Puppies!!! Long John Silvers should build a restaurant in Valley Springs, Ca; I’m sure it would be a success!!!

Food was very hot and fresh. The manager had excellent customer service to all customers, not just me. And with 1.99 fish and fries deal it doesn't get any better. You can even substitute the fires for another side menu.

One of the nicest LJS in the area. Clean inside, has soda machine to use so you don't have to ask for refill. Food was hot n fresh

Can’t beat the chicken planks! The fries and hush puppies are great too. Sure, it’s fried and greasy, but you know what you’re getting when you go to LJS.
