The food was great. The Ceasars Salad with anchovies is one of a kind. Salmon is amazing, and the ribeye was very good. Service is outstanding.

We booked our Christmas Eve Dinner here, and this restaurant delivered. Not only did my boyfriend think the steak was better here than at Catch Steak, but the ambience was wonderful and magical (it’s designed like a London gentlemen’s club so it does lean slightly masculine in style.) All the staff were so happy to be working even though it was a holiday, and our waiter (his name starts with a G and sounded Italian) remembered both of our names and was so kind and hospitable to us. This was a very memorable experience and I would recommend this place to any of our clients visiting from out of town. We ordered the truffle mac and potatoes au gratin which were both cheesy and delicious. 10/10. The Manhattans were good though I wish I had ordered a red wine. I also think the actual filet mignon is better than the bison filet. My boyfriend ordered a bacon bourbon butter and ended up not eating it with his steak even though it sounded great, he said the steak was that good on its own.

Fantastic service in a chic and cozy atmosphere with fantastic food. We had the table side Cesar, crab cakes that were divine, bison filet which was so tender, and the sole which was delicate and delicious and had our neighbors asking what we had ordered. Well balanced cocktails and nice glasses of wine. Will certainly add this to our list of must-go for Aspen visits.

This is a fine dining restaurant and we ordered the Monarch Rockefeller, 32 oz Tomahawk Rib Eye (for 2) with Fingerling Smashed potato with Béarnaise sauce and finished with dessert of sticky toffee pudding.
We also enjoyed the Burning Man and Black Buffalo Manhattans.

Our reservation was at 8 pm (it was a Thursday) and we got seated and greeted quickly and drinks arrived fast too. I was a little surprised at how long it took for our starter to and our meal to arrive but overall it was a lovely experience.

If you are in town you must stop here to have a Great stake . Was very very Goooood, Cesar salad prepare at moment was amazing.
Side dishes good, don't forget the Good Dessert and the drinks.

Wonderful experience. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were very accommodating and friendly. Great Manhattans with several customs. Excellent food. Had oysters Rockefeller which was great and Filet.

Steaks cooked to perfection, with a lovely crust. Great side dishes, the mushrooms fantastic. Outstanding service, friendly and efficient. Will definitely come back.

My family was so impressed with this elegant eatery. The service was outstanding, the drinks were well crafted, and both the salmon and the porterhouse were outstanding. Would be in my ‘best of Aspen’ list.

We were welcomed graciously. The evening embodied a group of professionals taking great care to ensure my family had a night that sparkled. It didn’t disappoint. We sipped decadent cocktails, gulped delicious wine and indulged in fare so wonderfully presented and prepared that it was impossible not to have-just one more. All night we were looked after with a refreshing simplicity and approachability that left us never needing or wanting and In the end, reluctant, we slithered from the warmth of this beautiful restaurant and into the Aspen air and vowed absolutely to return. Thanks to all at The Monarch Restaurant for an amazing dinner.

Dinner with our two kids was phenomenal. Good and service were exceptional, no doubt and no reservations. Enjoyed the vibe and it is off season on a Wednesday so not too crowded. We are traveling with kids but enjoy fine dining so always a bit of a gamble taking kids. Chase helped accommodate us and we appreciate his extra effort.

The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. The services provided by the professional management and staff are the main reasons that we keep coming back. The old world elegance is a rare thing, and we value their focus to make sure that everything about the dining experience is excellent. I highly recomend this restaurant. The Cesar salad must not be missed!

This was a wonderful dining experience. From the moment you are greeted when you walk in to the moment you leave, the service is amazing! We sat at the bar and had a great time and great conversation. The food was excellent!!! I recommend the half chicken and the monarch salad, and don't skip out on the steak skewers. You are also in for a treat if you order any of the cocktails on the menu. Each cocktail is hand crafted to perfection.

Classic elegant high end place to enjoy the classics of table side Cesar Salad, Colorado Lamb as tender as a wayu filet. All flavorful, and service is unequaled. You can to places to see who or go here to have a top end experience in food ambiance and service. And the wine list…….for the aspen crowd.

The Caesar Salad here is amazing and I’m not even really a sale person. By far the best salad I’ve ever had in my life. The bison steak is really good too.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our marriage in Aspen and couldn’t have been happier. The service, the food, the atmosphere. Everything was absolutely perfect. If you’re in Aspen and looking for a REAL fine dining experience with the best food and service this is the spot!

We had a great time here! The steaks are excellent and the drinks and other food are good, too. A nice place for a romantic or formal dinner. The vodka drink with a caviar side is a nice touch.

A great space with kind of a speakeasy kind of feel. Cocktails, appetizers, entrees all top shelf ingredients prepared perfectly. Excellent service- (ask for Dio!). Whatever you do, do not pass up the Caesar salad prepared at your table. A complete knockout...

By far THE best dining experience we have had in quite some time!! We loved it SO much that we booked a reservation for my parents when they are in town next month. Sarah made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in the door and DO is one of a kind. It’s hard to find good service these days, but I promise that if you go to Monarch you will not be disappointed. Make sure and swing by next time you’re in Aspen looking for a great place to eat and and an even better experience.
