What a fantastic tour! Dean is a natural storyteller. The walk was easy but still covered a lot of the downtown, and we learned so much history about Aspen along the way. You can tell Dean really enjoys what he does and is amazing at it! Thanks for a great experience.

Dean's Aspen Ghost Tour was SOOOO FUN!!!! Dean captivated our attention immediately. There were four of us total, including me and my friend. The other two loved it as well. I got to learn about a side of Aspen that I never knew before. The tour was not really that scary or anything, but the stories were super interesting and could make your mind wander big time. I would definitely recommend this tour for 16+. I also learned several historically significant facts about Aspen as well. Check him out!

Dean's Darkside Tour is a must-do for anyone visiting Aspen, especially if you're interested in the city's spooky history. Dean is a knowledgeable and engaging guide who has a knack for storytelling. He takes you to some of Aspen's most haunted locations and shares fascinating tales of ghosts, hauntings, and other paranormal phenomena.

On the tour, I learned about the ghosts of the Wheeler Opera House, the Hotel Jerome, and the Pitkin County Courthouse. I also heard stories about the spirits of miners, Native Americans, and other people who have passed away in Aspen over the years.

Dean's tour is not only informative, but it's also a lot of fun. He tells his stories in a way that is both entertaining and suspenseful. He also makes sure to interact with the group and answer any questions that people have.

Overall, I had a wonderful time on Dean's Darkside Tour. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and spooky way to learn about Aspen's history.

Dean was an amazing guide his knowledge of the are was exceptional. His two hour tour of the trails was super. With out his knowledge of the area and trails you would not truly see the mountain area around Aspen. We would like to take the longer and higher elevation trails the next time we visit Aspen. On a recent visit to Aspen, we had the pleasure of joining Dean on two of his tours: Off the beaten path and the Dark-side ghost tour. It was such an enjoyable journey throughout the past and present of Aspen. Dean is very knowledgeable, fun and entertaining host. Highly recommend!!

I've been on a lot of history walking tours in a lot of different places, and I can honestly say that Dean's was one of the best! He did an amazing job of telling Aspen's story, and providing context that connected the past to the present. Highly recommended!

I did the Aspen Dark Side Ghost Tour and it was excellent. A good mix of history, ghost stories and urban legends. And it's a great way to walk around the city at night. Highly recommended! The other tours Dean offers seem really good too.

We took the Darkside Ghost tour with Dean and it was a great experience. Dean is an engaging story teller and takes care of the group to ensure everyone’s questions are answered. He weaves together the Aspen of old with the new to create a vivid feel. Highly recommend him for tours.

Dean was an excellent host for the tour and despite the small group for our date graciously took us along when he could of very easily cancelled. The ghost tour was a great blend of entertaining and insightful and would highly recommend for anyone wishing to learn the darker side of Aspen.

Dean’s “Off the beaten path” tour was a great way for my wife and me to start our Aspen vacation. Dean is very knowledgeable and a delight to be with. He took us to places that we would have just passed by and not understood their importance to Aspen history and current activity. My wife and I highly recommend Dean’s walking tours.

My friend and I recently took the Aspen’s Dark Side tour with Dean and it was excellent. The tour provided a fun overview of the town’s history through the lens of death, crime, and a bit of the supernatural.

Dean is incredibly knowledgeable about all things Aspen (he even gave us some hiking and dinner recommendations as we chatted after the tour), and was just an ideal guide. I would highly recommend the tour to anybody who enjoys history, ghost stories, true crime, or even just strolling around and sightseeing.

We came across Dean’s Aspen Walking Tours on TripAdvisor and decided to book “The Darkside Tour”. The tour was informative and entertaining... the perfect mix of history and creepy. This tour was awesome! So awesome that we ended up booking “The Cemetery Tour” for later in the week. The Cemetery Tour was incredible. Dean has spent an incredible amount of time researching the long forgotten people buried in this beautiful old cemetery. This tour is a must if learning about the history of Aspen is your thing. My husband and I always book historical, ghost, and paranormal tours in every city we visit (Charleston, New Orleans, etc) and these were 2 of the best tours we have ever been on. It’s obvious that Dean spends time doing the research and putting together quality tours. Dean’s Walking Tours are an ABSOLUTE MUST if visiting Aspen. We look forward to booking another tour with Dean the next time we visit Aspen.

Dean was awesome! It was just me and my friend (not a big audience) but he managed to walk us through an entertaining, historical, and very informative tour of Aspen. He came prepared with stories, props, and you can tell that he really cares about his community. While we were just a small two person group... I am confident that we got the same show that any large group or party would get as well.

I would love to come back in a year or so to see what else Dean has managed to learn/ uncover!

We had the pleasure of walking around Aspen with Dean on June 26, 2020 for the Ghost Tour. It was a fantastic tour that was appropriate for my daughters, age 9 and 5. Dean made the stories fun and and we all learned a lot about Aspen's history and some local ghost stories. Highly recommend for a fun family evening.

Dean gave us a wonderful bike tour down the Rio Grande Trail as well as parts of the town of Aspen. Before the tour, he provided us guidance around where to rent bikes, etc. The tour was perfect for a beginner like myself in length and difficulty. Stopped at a few great points of interest, very knowledgeable, and overall a great experience. Thank you Dean!

Dean's tours are the best! We did the Darkside of Aspen and it was creepy and interesting all at once. With a mix of history and ghost stories, we talked about it all weekend. Dean was very fun to spend time with! Highly recommend.

I did the Dark Side Ghost Tour. Dean is a great guide and had great stories for the tour. Aspen has an interesting history and Dean seemed to really enjoy sharing that history with guests.

We took the Darkside walking tour of Aspen. Dean, our host, was very personable and made sure everyone was comfortable with the pace. He shared several stories of the buildings and their past inhabitants. Highly recommend this tour. Look for the guy in the top hat when you decide to go!
