The hike is great, because you are mostly tree covered which provides you with shade. The hike itself is pretty easy, but steep in some sections. Very easy hike for the reward of a very beautiful alpine lake.

What an excellent hike through the forest and up the mountain. Very simple, peaceful, and the lake is very calming and relaxing view. Difficult to get to the water and shore line, but Deep and clear. Highly recommend for fishing.

Best short, easy walk/hike around Aspen. Max 20 minutes at the slowest pace, and the view at the top is great.

Super hike and pretty short to the lake. Rangers patrol so keep your dog on a leash. Great forest experience.
