Our whole stay was wonderful! We did a later checkin and the young lady at the counter was very personable and informative. The room was clean and what we needed for the stay. We were also able to comfortably stay with our pup, which is always a perk. I read some negative reviews about how it was “outdated” but I honestly feel like that was part of the appeal. It had a very wholesome and old school vibe. I can’t say enough nice things about the breakfast they provide. 10/10. Those ladies do an amazing job! We are a military family and have traveled extensively and we can honestly say this was the best breakfast we’ve had provided for us. Also, very close distance to many shops and restaurants. All walkable. I would recommend this place for a short or extended stay.

Older hotel but clean. Breakfast and light lunch was nice, the location was perfect! You can ski right up to the lunch room. John works the desk in the evening and was awesome , great recommendations and made you feel at home!

This is an older complex but it is kept very nice and clean.very dog friendly but does not smell or show wear and tear from dogs.
Bunny and John were both top notch! Friendly and helpful.
Great location to mall and shuttle which will take you where you want. Within walking distance of great shopping and restaurants.
Great experience.

We only stayed one night, but overall, it was a good stay. I wished breakfast was earlier because we had to leave at 6:30 am. We would come and stay again. The pool and hot tub were fun and our sons enjoyed that! :)

I've read some negative reviews, and I respectfully disagree. The staff couldn't be any more friendly. They are amazing. The ladies who care for the rooms are wonderful. The ladies who prepare a very nice breakfast are super friendly and kind. Perhaps some folks who seem negative have lost their perspective on things, sure, this place isn't new, but it's amazingly clean, the staff is wonderful and the location location location is truly an example of the most beautiful of God's creation.

I can't say enough good things about the Mountain Chalet and staff! My wife and I stayed there on June 25th. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the staff was always there and helpful if we needed anything all the while being personable and professional. It does seem to be a slightly older place but everything is in perfect condition and they have two things that a lot of the newer "chic" and more expensive hotels have seem to have forgotten; attention to detail and simple comfort. I will always go back whenever I'm in Snowmass

Beautiful views in the morning. There was a gondola ride nearby. There is a mall and the snomass village nearby which had a couple of coffee places which were open at 7am in the morning. Just about the right options for breakfast too in the morning.

Beautiful little dog friendly hotel right on the edge of the mountain with gorgeous views for a great price. The staff is funny and friendly and accommodating. The breakfast area is great. They have a hot tub, pool and plenty of parking. There was a humidifier in my room which I love. The carpets could use an update but not an issue really. Most of the rooms (maybe all?) Have balconies. The only thing that concerned me a little is I noticed the cleaning staff put my recycling in the trash can...I think maybe because there wasnt anything in my trashcan and they wanted to use the ag for the recycling? I hope so, not a deal breaker but if you're not going to actually recycle I'd just take away the bins.

loved it,the room was nice and cozy, clean and spatious. The breakfast was exceptional no doubt about that. The location is perfect here for any skiing activity during the winter, and other summer activities like going to the pool, taking a walk while admiring the views. Overall, it was a 5 star experience for me, although I wanted to go somewhere cheaper.

This is exactly what you need to get an affordable trip to Snowmass/Aspen. Is it the fanciest hotel? No way. But it’s clean and the staff is wonderful.

The hotel itself is pretty dated (old ceiling fans, not great lighting in rooms, etc.) but again, we don’t stay here and expect something ritzy.

Great if you know to expect nothing special and no bells/whistles. For us, it’s all about hanging out outside!

Such a cosy and warm place. Loved the views and friendly vibes. They have a heated pool too. Rooms are homely and they have easy patio access and have balconies for the early morning hot coffees. Would certainly recommend.

Our third time here! The 2022-2023 season saw a handful of upgrades to the chalet including new carpets, new room furniture, new lobby lounge furniture and a fresh paint job. Hopefully they can continue to make upgrades to this property in the next slow season including renovating the gym.

My dad and I recently stayed at the chalet and the hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. Marie helped us book the hotel before we arrived and told us about all of the hidden gems of Snowmass and Aspen. The beds were soft and so comfortable. There is no central AC but the nights get old enough and the ceiling fan and window unit do the trick. The hotels is steps away from a Starbucks, brewery and other shops and restaurants. The breakfast was honestly fantastic. They had eggs and sausages the day we stayed and other options such as oatmeal, cereal, fresh fruit and fresh sliced bread. They also had hot tea and coffee as well. The service we received from all of the staff was outstanding and I would be so happy to visit again!

Great location, even better customer service. Its not a five star experience, but if you are looking for an option that doesn't break the bank, look no further. We had a large group stay, and they were very accommodating to our group. The manager, Courtney, is a delightful person as well as all the other employees at the front desk. The rooms are beyond adequately furnished, and have pleasant views. For an affordable slope side hotel you could not ask for anything more.

Stayed here last year for a couple nights with buddies. We travel every year to snowboard and usually stay in multiple hotels throughout the trip as we travel to other resorts. I am so happy to have come across this place. Breakfast was great, skied in for soup around lunch time it was good. Clean place, hot tubs were great. Price was unbeatable in the area..and I do my research. Cant wait to go back in February and spend some more nights and the Chalet!

The place is outdated and the rooms small. However, the room had everything we needed, room very clean, and very friendly service. Good location as well. I would stay again.

You can't get a better ski in ski out experience, IMO. The place is loaded with charm. Yes it's not exactly brand spanking new, but it's been updated. The beds and linens were fresh! And breakfast and hot soup lunch daily. Pool and hot tube, weights and saunas, ( separate for men and women) Beautiful front lounge area with computers. Right on the ski run... literally. So for folks like hubby and me this was a delight!

That's right, FIVE stars! Keep reading! My wife and I were looking for a weekend getaway amidst covid to celebrate her b-day. We'd visited the Aspen area on a day trip a few years prior and wanted to do a bit more exploring. We came across this place and decided to give it a try. First, $90 / night... $90 PER NIGHT! I'm sure it's considerably more during ski season. For that price, and based on a few other things I'll explain, this is a solid 5 star experience. The room was clean, the bed pretty comfy, there's a sofa, balcony with a view, mini-fridge, microwave, flat screen w/cable, DVD player, and coffee pot - everything you need. Due to covid, no housekeeping services, but the gentleman at the front let us know that if we needed anything to give him a shout. I tested him on this by asking for extra coffee. His response: "How much would you like?" The hotel is also conveniently located next door to the mall, which has shops and a couple fun restaurants (a cantina and a beer garden), plus the free gondola down to the center with more shops and food options. Keep this spot in mind! From the looks of things, it's likely a great place to crash during ski season as well!

Location is absolutely perfect. Top of the little gondola (the locals call "Skittles"), and right under "the Mall." Free fill'er-up breakfast and soup lunch. The hot tub is awesomely scorching hot, and right on the ski run (as is the pool). I was rudely kicked out of the hot tub by the maintenance guy at 10:15 pm, but maybe I over-soaked the time limit. Everything's convenient. Walk up to the mall. Ride down to the Village. The standard rooms are not that nice but the beds way more than make up for the "standardness." We slept great and opted to take naps just to enjoy the mattresses. Breakfast ends up being a super-social experience with big, family tables and plenty of food. We would definitely stay here again in the low season ($$). Thank you!
