Strafe Outerwear (Snowmass)

Great gear. I have their bibs, shell and insulated coat. Had an issue with a coat and their customer service was exceptional.

Great clothing, everything I’ve bought from Strafe has been warm durable and not absurdly expensive.

Store itself is fine and employees are nice and friendly - BUT - the store seems to be randomly open/closed and does not follow advertised business hours. I’ve made three separate trips from 30+ minutes away to find the store closed when it should be open. Trying to buy a jacket for my wife that she fell in love with while visiting out here before the sale ends, but I guess not. Phones are also rarely answered so it’s hard to find out any information without just driving out. Very frustrated is an understatement.

I ordered a hoodie and received the wrong size. Using the store credit (they charge a substantial return/refund fee) and reorder process, I ordered another one and received another incorrect size, which I also returned for store credit. I finally ordered a different product and did receive it successfully. I never did receive any store credit and ultimately had my credit card company reverse the transactions. The products seem pretty good, but the service turned out to so poor that I would not consider buying there again. The process of packaging the returns, taking them to UPS,... was a huge hassle.

Store experience was great, $125 base layer began falling apart at the seams after one wear, several attempts to contact customer service for replacement went unanswered, waste of money.

Fun for window shopping, but avoid purchase and stick with reputable customer service brands like Patagonia or REI, there’s a reason they’re an industry leader and Strafe is not.
