There are times when my job sends me out here to work from Denver and when they do, I know the Brick Pony will be on my must visit list every time. Giant frosty goblet sized beers and delicious food right in the heart of Basalt. As if I needed another reason to love Basalt. Perfect way to end the work day!!!!

Got fish tacos, when I saw them didn’t think I would like them but they were great. Had to use a fork because they are messy

This place was awesome! The food was fantastic and the beer was super cold and in an iced mug! If you are in the area and need a place to kick back and enjoy some delicious food and iced cold beer do not pass this place up! The service was also pretty stellar!!!!!!

Every meal I have had at the pony has been great. Parmesan truffle fries are my favorite, sweet potato fries were great as well. My wife doubted me ordering the cheese balls appetizer, but they turned out to be delicious. Marinara dipping sauce had to have been house made, I could see the tomato seeds in it. We were so impressed with the marinara we are going to have to come back and try the pizza!

Bison Meatloaf is excellent. Chicken Pesto Pizza was very good as well. Very cold beer. And a large bar and well spread out dining area. Prices were reasonable for being in this valley. I was impressed.

Great atmosphere, service, and food. We had burgers that were juicy and delicious. The Brick Pony is going to be added to our list of go to pubs

Coldest beer in basalt. Best bartender in the valley. Sam was awesome, bar steak was delectable, and the vibes are exactly what you want in a small mountain town gastro pub. Check it out, do yerself a favor!

Great bar with a chill daytime atmosphere. TVs aren’t working so hot, but they let me bring my dog in so I was cool with it.

Great menu, fearless tweaks of the regular bar food favorite mastered well. Having enjoyed every item on menu, I will recommend all. Professional service. No nonsense. Clean and fresh restaurant with pleasant decor yet old school soul. I spend Christmas and New Year's in Aspen and roll here for as many meals as possible. Thanks to the Brick Pony, it means Christmas to us.

I visited the pub on a Tuesday afternoon. There were few patrons and several staff people. The buffalo burger and the buffalo meatloaf were very good. The kitchen was fast. The service was fast and friendly and helpful. The portions were pretty big.

All I have to say is wow. I grew up in a small town like this and love supporting local pubs. We stopped by after a quick fishing trip. The staff was very accommodating and allowed us to be seated outside as we had our little Corgie with us. As for the food selection, it's very expensive and had familiar items. Can't remember the prices but burgers were roughly $15-$17 and meatloaf/fish and chips were about $17-20. We ordered quite a bit of food for our first time just to try out in case something sucked. I usually can spot food that has been cheaped out on. Main point below is that the food is perfect in every way and worth every penny plus tip.

The food was prepped by a 5 star chef in my opinion. The food was visually appealing, laid out well, and tasted correct for the budget. Meatloaf came with lightly simmered thin green beans, sliced mushrooms, and mashed potatoes. Meatloaf was not overcooked, did not fall apart, and did not taste like ketchup. Thin Green beans were of the most expensive kinds to buy. They were simmered then lightly fried to have a crunchy texture. Mushrooms were sauteed till brown. Mash potatoes were perfectly creamy without tasting like all butter and milk.

Burgers were perfect. Buns were grilled then brushed with butter. They were not soaked in the juices from the patty as the burger was layered correctly and not overstuffed.

Fish and chips was the best I've ever had. Fish was actually battered and prepped fish. If it was bought, it's darn good quality.

The waiter or someone forgot to add mushrooms and bacon to one of our burgers but the waiter made short work of it and brought out these items as a side in no time. I understand that these things happen but its respectable that the waiter went out of his way to make things happen in such a short time. All in all, I'd like to return one day.

The absolute best bean burger I've ever had. I was prepared to be disappointed since I dropped in shortly before the kitchen closed, but I was blown away by the quality of the burger. Crispy outside, didn't fall apart, great guacamole and pico to top, perfectly paired bun... I was so impressed that I didn't put it down once I picked it up. My only complaint is that I didn't order a second (not because I needed one, the portion is quite generous!).

I love the brick pony! I come up to Glenwood Springs a few times a year and love shopping the small stores from there to Aspen (great consignment shops, art and boutiques). The brick pony is my favorite place to stop off and get a great meal in a funky place for a good price. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu, but my favorite thing to get is the kale salad and mushroom pizza. I love their burgers too, but the pizza is some of my absolute favorite anywhere!

Our group had a good time , someone order a macaroni and cheese , it was very good, other two people order burgers, they were happy with them. I order grilled salmon and it was over cooked:( drinks were good and appetizers the only bad thing was the over cooked salmon.
