Takena Landing

I enjoyed a nice walk along the Willamette River in North Albany along the trail in the park. The trail is about 1.7 miles one way, I did it about an hour and a half round trip. This park offers a nice ramp to the Willamette River and restrooms, also a great view of Downtown Albany. The Hwy 20 bridges go over this park and a railroad bridge.

The river trail has tons of river views and amazing big Cottonwood trees.
Volunteer opportunities are available to help keep the trail beautiful and inviting through the City of Albany's Adopt a Park Program. I've been helping spread wood chips to help with muddy spots. It's nice to get some exercise while getting to be next to the river.

Great spot to launch a boat on the Willamette. We did a little magnet fishing to try out a new Amazon purchase.

Beautiful walk. Sometimes muddy or flooded out. Sometimes a lot of transients there. Just be aware.

This is a very pretty hike. It's an easy path with serene sounds. We really enjoy the park.

It is a nice location to walk and to walk your dog.

We've been here a few times to take out our canoes and kayaks on long rides. This is a great place to do it because it has an easy to get to dock and easy access to the main road. We've also taken out at the park across the river but that doesn't have a dock and you have to carry your canoe a ways to get to the parking lot. This park has a concrete boat launch that makes it super easy.

Large parking lot with nice bathrooms. I walked the trail which is a long path with a small turn-around loop at the end. Took about 90 minutes to walk it all at a leisure pace. Trail is well cleared with hard dirt. Great for trail running.

I've been walking this trail for years. It's not very difficult to complete and does allow your puppy. Beautiful hike 😊

Quiet walk on a very nice trail, some nice views of the river but mainly you'll be surrounded by trees. Parking easy in and out.
