Large open nature area with paved and unpaved trails. Angling pond with fishing piers and bank angling options. Stocked with a variety of fish. Wetlands, and other scattered ponds. There are multiple parking areas, informational kiosks. The access to the angling pond has changed recently, so watch for signage. No restroom at my time of visit in early spring.

Really beautiful area with lots of nice paths to take. Good fishing pond - although it's a bit of a trek from the parking area. Also nice to visit the memorial garden and learn a bit about the history of the place. Please remember you need an Oregon state park parking permit to park here, they're not too expensive and they help pay for keeping areas like this one beautiful for everyone!

I come out here almost daily with my housemate to walk the dog and ourselves. There's a stunning variety of pathways, from fully paved roads, to crushed gravel, fields and grass ways, wooden walkways, bridges, dirt and moss paths. Really a little bit of every kind of walk you could want.

The maintenance out here is top notch. We see workers from time to time, and they're always friendly and respectful of social distancing.

I've not gone fishing in the lake, but I see folk there regularly and they seem to be having a nice time. The docks and new crushed gravel paths around the lake look fantastic.

Recently they've begun to install a series of ADA benches along one of the main pathways to the lake, and I'm thrilled to see it. Accessibility is important! Between this and an accessible hunting blind I found, it's nice to see the efforts being made.

I'd highly recommend it here! Bring your dog, just be aware there's some berry thorns throughout.

We come here for the fishing, so that's what this is about. It's a little under a mile to the pond from the parking lot. Nice flat trails. A lot of wildlife can be seen. Hawks, falcons and eagles are common. It's a busy little pond. There are usually a fair number of people here. Shoulder to shoulderish on the weekends. Great place for kids to fish. Keep an eye on the stocking schedule. Fish are usually active. There is usually a port o john out at the pond as well. Tables and benches surround the pond.

This has been a favorite, local outing for us lately! Nice for long walks and good, paved areas for kids to bike or scooter.

Note that's its good for this during non-hunting season. Also, a parking permit is required (can be purchased easily online).

These are great areas for viewing birds, wildflowers, and the remains of Camp Adair from WWII.
.
There is also a nice area with WWII memorials for Oregon veterans and an area with cages for viewing live pheasants. Just north of this is a sign and oak tree that area memorial to the town that was there before WWII.

My favorite place to catch a bird or two on camera. Extensive trails and waterways. Pheasants in cages for your identification pleasure. Designated hunting areas.

I've been here once and attended a terrific ODFW Waterfowl Hunting course. Obviously no hunting but lots of Hands-On training, setting up blinds decoy spreads and also cleaning the catch.

It says hunting area and I know people do hunt here during certain times of the year, but for me and many others it is a place to walk and collect free fruit. It's a ghost town turned into a wildflife preserve. Hundreds of apple trees bursting with fruit. You can also find blackberries, plums, pears, cherries. The sweet peas and sunflowers are beautiful. But my favorite thing to do is imagine the thousands of people hustling around the old military cantonement during WW II, now just cracked roads and foundations poking out of the brush. A very cool place.

E.E. Wilson Wildlife Refuge offers a unique Willamette Valley nature experience. I'm especially fond of the Coffin Butte track, on the west side of Hwy 99, as a short hike. Warning, parking permits are required.

Didn't catch anything at the pond, but it was pristine and quiet in the early morning; made for some great mindfulness time!

Very quiet and beautiful. There are a miles of walking/biking/jogging trails left from the old Adair military bases. The pond is regularly stocked with about a half a dozen types of pan fish, and even if you don't catch anything yourself you're likely to see some herons or eagles. Family friendly

This is a surprisingly serene and beautiful hike considering the entry point is next to the dump. The trail is narrow and very overgrown. Do yourself a favor and wear pants. There are lots of blackberries along the way. Just a short way up is a viewpoint with a dilapidated bench, but a beautiful view to the west. Keep going up the trail to a lovely oak grove. Watch out for poison oak. There's a ton of it. But again, at the top are downed trees you can sit on and just enjoy the serenity of the space.

The little stocked pond (it's stocked with legal limit and larger rainbow trout) is nice and plenty of room for multiple people fishing. The walk in was great. There's also a nice archery range as well as a gun range on the opposite side of the road. Lots of little places and trails to explore.

Well thanks for asking how this place was, however, I was at the dump across the way and it was fantastic. The smell protruding from the earth made me think I was in paradise for about 22 minutes of my life. The people around me were seeming to have a wonderful afternoon. All smiles and folks giving each other high fives. I will recommend this place to everybody!
