This is the BEST CAFE, our food was delicious, fresh and hot! Make sure you stop in, you’ll have a fabulous meal with leftovers 😋 We had the French toast and vegi & meat lovers omelettes, we’ll be back soon!

Everything you could want. Very good food. Surprising for some American breakfast places. Amazing service. And amazing value. I'd absolutely come back when I'm in the area again.

I’ve frequented this place more times than I can count over the last 10 years. It has that classic American morning diner feel and a friendly staff to match. Food isn’t out of this world, but honestly— it’s exactly what you would expect. It always peacefully busy in the morning no matter what day of the week, yet the wait staff is always able to seat us in a timely manner regardless. I have three kids and two of them absolutely love it here. The sprinkles on their pancakes always have the little one begging to come back, and it’s a demand I happily say yes to. Jays is actually so kid friendly that my youngest doesn’t like breakfast at any other restaurants as their kid menus just don’t meet her standards.

Unfortunately one of my littles has celiacs so this place is not an option for her as the menu here does not cater to food sensitivities. So if you have restrictions, I would call before hand just to double check!

I love this place and I hope they stick around for years and years to come. Because not everything is about impeccable food, the atmosphere and wait staff also make a huge difference to the overall dining experience and Jay’s Cafe is a perfect example of that! (Although I’ve never left my plate empty ha!)

Jay is the man! I've been going to Jays since it opened. The service people are like family. You just get the nice small town diner vibe. Great food at a great price. Plus Jay is always in the back cooking. I don't think I've ever seen Jay not cooking and you know when Jay cooks your food, its always the way you want it.

This definitely a quaint breakfast spot. Good food, good service. They seemed a little short staffed, but worked through the rush. The coffee is a little bit weak, but it was decent flavor. The omelet was great and the chicken fried steak looked good. Good portion sizes and they did have football on tv.

A perfect little secret on the Eastside. We are always on the lookout for a good breakfast spot. Diner style, could use some updating as our booth seat was quite lumpy and I could feel the springs. Ordered 2 eggs, French toast and sausage, and chicken fried steak, eggs, hash browns and toast. Portions were huge, service was super fast and prices were on point. Totally unexpected, but totally worth it!

Authentic old-school diner. Great food, lots of it. (Didn't know plain ol hash browns could be that good.) Sweet waitress, prompt service. Everything we love. Easy to see how we've been driving by all these years, cuz the outside is nothing to look at, but thank goodness for Google reviews! 😊

I had the best waitress. She was so nice. And the special today was the Country Skillet - hope to have it again! Plenty of parking, seating, space, and food and bev options for a brunch between errands! Will be back. :)

Walked in and immediately greeted by our waitress, who kept our coffee cups full and put so many smiles on our faces.
This is going to be a regular place we visit.
Atmosphere is small-town friendly. Love it, reminds me of home!

Family diner. Hole in the wall. Mom n pop's. These things all create a great breakfast diner. It's old and dated, but the service is incredible, and we had eggs Benedict and cup of fruit that did not disappoint. Coffee (drip) wasn't bad either. Winning for sure.

Good place for morning breakfast. Friendly service, and food was served quickly and nice and hot. No warming counters for this place, I actually had to let things cool a bit before I could dig in. Big portions, I couldn't finish my plate, but it wasn't from lack of trying. This place is 15 miles from home, but would definitely go out of my way to go again.

The first thing that caught my attention was the awesome reviews. Upon arrival the sign was very old diner style, this didnt affect me much since honestly these days I turn to the internet to help me decide on a place not the road sign (although sometimes it is fun to just drive and find).

Right inside the door there is newspapers this was awesome even more awesome a box of readers as in glasses that people can borrow to read the newspaper!!! I have never seen anything like this.

This is a seat your self establishment and we did just that and also had accommodations for our son also a huge plus.

The coffee and water was kept up and any of the staff that walked by asked how you were doing. This was a very welcoming friendly environment.

I got the Eggs Benedict the eggs were cooked perfectly I didnt really like how big the ham was cut because i had to use a knife and it was a little more difficult then what I'm used too. All the other food we got which was a special and the kids egg breakfast was great!

Great breakfast. Fast friendly service. Hash browns were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Corned beef hash was awesome.

This is a hole in the wall. Let me just explain this to you. First of all the place is great. The staff is very friendly. The next thing is is the food is delicious and big portions. Not the cheap stuff where they charge you a arm and a leg for food about a small as your finger. I'm talking about big portions and I think I shown you with the photos all you need to know about showing up to that place. The food is great and you will love it. If you like food and a lot of it for a cheap price go there

My daughter recommended weekend breakfast here. We both fell in love with both the atmosphere and food. It's a place that remindes me of the old style greesy spoon diners. May it is one and calls it's self as such. Either way me and my daughter will keep coming back!

Just moved to the area and my friend swore by this place, so I went with him for breakfast. Been going here every weekend since! BLOWN AWAY by how amazing the food is, and incredibly priced too. It's a local diner, so the place can appear a little rundown. I think it adds to the charm.

Don't go to Jay's expecting elegance and extravagance, but do know that you'll be served generous portions of delicious food by friendly, fast waitstaff at half the price of most Seattle joints.

For a rustic restaurant experience this is the place to go. The charm of a family diner, and a staff that is willing to combine menu items into a combination pleasing to particular tastes that may not be standardly grouped together food choices. I recommend this place highly.

Great service and food here. Doesn’t look like much from the outside or the inside, but don’t let that fool you. The food and the people here are absolutely top shelf.
