Irish Bend Park

Good spot for Rock Hounding the river was high so I didn't get to look as much as I would like, will be back when the rover is low. Did find some great agates, petrified wood and Jasper.

Beautiful bend in the river to spend some quiet time. It’s not a "park" in a grass or playground way, but in a perfect rocky riverbed to walk along or sit and enjoy the river. Look for eagles above, blue herons, and little water creatures!

I really Like the place because it's great to relax and get the stress out of u the water it's so clear and u can swim i really recommend

Great place for rockhounding, though it is pretty mossy/slimey right now. Beautiful views.

This place grows on you. Shallow, slow current for swimming and deeper spots for fishing. Rock hounders delight but the bane of bare feet. Watched many people drop in for a float from this location, but I don't know where they get out at down river. Beware of motorboat traffic. The gravel changes they time the river is up so keep on coming by.

Just relaxing...and a good place to get some sun! But when the sun is just a bit too much you can easily cool down by wading in the river. Very gradual slope into the water and current isn't so strong that you can't just walk out a ways and dunk yourself!

This place is a wonderful, wonderful gem. If your needing a place to get away for a few hours or even the day, bring a couple chairs, your swim suit and don't forget the mini BBQ. It's a beautiful and wonderful place with lots of good energy.

Best place close to home to get away and relax!:)

Breathe taking and beautiful. We went kayaking, fishing, swimming and rock hounding. It was a perfect day. It wasn't busy, however that is rare. Parking is scarce. They have a honey hut to use bathroom and no place to wash hands other than the river. Bring eco friendly soap.

Easy access to the water. Not a lot of parking.

One of the best places around to go swimming. The beach is so long that it's never crowded, even if the parking lot is full. There are quite a few people there often on really hot days.

This is a great spot to float the river from. From here to Peoria boat ramp is roughly 9 miles by river so it's a decently long float, but beautiful!

On the corner where the water is the fastest is also a really popular sturgeon fishing hole. I've witnessed a guy catch one accidentally while he was fishing for trout.

After a nice, low traffic, 20 min drive out of town from our home in Junction City we arrived at a small parking lot. Although small we still had room to park. With as full as the parking lot was, it only took a few minutes walk on the rocky river bank to find us a spot in the shade and with enough room around us to make us feel as if we had the place to ourselves. Beautiful rocks, agates, crystals, jasper and many other gems covered the ground. We will definitely be back soon!!

Love here it's a bit warmer than other places to swim, which why I love it I can actually get in with my kid and have fun.

Irish band is a one of the hidden gems for those of us who likes to find hidden gems.. agates , petrified wood and all types of smalls like beautiful nuggets of a Jasper carnelian, druse quarts and such make the walk worth it and the drive home is breathtakingly rustic...Oregon rocks...
