Really nice people

I called in a bind , not for myself but a friend for a small favor. My friend and her three kids just moved to Corvallis and don't have a car. She is in need of some help as she has barley any groceries or money/food stamps and is in desperate need of a book box. Today I went to take her family some food to get them by and my car broke down on my way from Aumsville to Jefferson and so I had to get a tow home. Now I am worried her and kids are hungry and nobody to give her a helping hand. I decided to make some calls as she has a very busy 2yr old so calls can be slighty difficult for her to make. I called to see if maybe a kind hearted soul could assist in a one time food box delivery to her apartment to put my worries to rest and know the kids had a few meals to get them by. I was cut off as I spoke my the women who answered the phone, told I can't call for anyone else, rudely spoken to and offered no resources or a reason for the unkind person on the other end. I am so sad that nobody cares that my dear friend and her three kids may not eat tonight. I am so angry at the poor assistance and unkindness that I am likely going to call a taxi and try another way to help this family. Its just sad that nobody seems to care and give a family a small hand as myself would do for my worst enemy if there kids had no food to eat. Because I am human and that is how we and people should care for one another.
