Always very helpful. Never have had any major problems. The employees are very polite. Makes banking enjoyable! Banking with Suntrust since 1971, way before it was Suntrust.

We did a wire transfer yesterday and even though it wasn't the smoothest of transactions, Kim did an excellent job on her end of the endeavor. Kim has a upbeat and positive attitude and helped us with other banking services with clarity and energy ✨

I wrote a review 4 years ago stating that I had been with Suntrust since 1971 telling how good it was banking at Suntrust. Now since Truist has taken over. Everything has gone south. You have to wait inside or at the drive through. Some days there is only 1 teller serving inside & drive through window. The drive through is real bad with only 1 drive window open. The main thing is the shortage of employees. I don't understand why there is nothing being done with all of the bad reviews this branch has. I would hate to have to go through the hassle of changing banks.

If I could give them a negative rating I would. The transition from BB and T and suntrust was not at all smooth.. They are now charging me a $12 monthly fee although my accounts are all joined together and I maintain a sufficient daily balance. When I call I am given a message that there is an hour wait, which is utterly unacceptable.  They are severely understaffed in their bank locations and often only allow drive-through business.  Staff Ive worked with for years are no longer available which to me speaks to the fact that they were either very unhappy or Truist doed not value long turn employees. Do not bank at truist!

Why does Truist not have more tellers to serve customers at peak times? North chesterfield bank at 10:25 am on a Saturday only has one teller at the walk in area with 6 waiting customers.

If you say you open at 9am on Saturday you should be open then. Not 9:30. I'm sorry you have to work 3 hours, that doesn't mean inconvenience everyone else's day.

Beyond disorganized and customer service are just two words that mean nothing. The simplest things are difficult and usually require the customer to come into the bank only to find out there is no SunTrust Rep to assist but tons of BB&T reps stepping on each other and often sitting idle. Now--that makes no sense. Have they ever heard of cross-training. Nope, tell the customer to "Please come back" or set an appointment with SunTrust Rep. Inherited this account from my Mom in March 2021, and tried to make it work. I guess after 38 years with USAA; never having to step foot into the bank for anything, made it a tough act to follow as USAA simply ROCKS in Customer Service and follow-through. All is done on the phone, on-line, or email; super easy and streamlined A-Z. Just closed this SunTrust account. SunTrust make the customer work "Too Hard" to use my money only to receive a fraction of a percentage point in interest. Also, SunTrust Leadership is not listening either and set on their lockstep procedures. Enough is enough. Moved On to end the Nightmare!

I tried making a donation online where my place of employment is matching all employee donations thru the Red Cross to the crisis in Ukraine. Since my company is based in Switzerland, the donation was declined… I tried to enter it multiple times cause I knew I had sufficient funds. So I called the number on the back of my Debit Card…after an hour wait, I spoke to a very nice lady who said she couldn’t do anything and that she had to transfer me to the “Fraud Center” and that there was a freeze placed on my card. When she transferred me I got cut-off…incompetent. Called back and recording said the wait was over 60 minutes. So I put the hold music on speakerphone and went to this branch. I told the banker that came to assist me, Sandra, that I wouldn’t hang up until it was resolved because of the hold time. She dialed a different number and there we sat listening to the hold music in stereo. Sandra said she could see where I attempted the transaction 8x’s. I told her I didn’t want any of them to go thru because I ended up putting it on my Mastercard with no problem. She said she couldn’t do anything without speaking to Fraud Center. Finally, a representative answered my call…she said the best thing to do would be to give me a temporary card and order new and cancel the existing card…& that you could be on hold “for hours” with the Fraud Center…what a freaking pain! So the lady hung up and I told Sandra not to hang up her phone because I didn’t trust that it would be resolved yet. So Sandra goes and gets the temporary card and comes back to her computer and says,”l’m not authorized to removed these blocked charges and cancel the card…I don’t know why she told me that”…I KNOW! INCOMPETENT!! So Sandra tells me she’ll continue to hold and get my card reactivated as I was late for a meeting with customer already. An hour or so later, Sandra calls me and informs me that my card has been reactivated but to watch my account in case the Red Cross site tries to re-run the card because then the transactions will most likely go thru…I thanked her and hung up. So the next day, Saturday afternoon when banks are closed, I proceed to whip out my Debit Card at Lowes…DECLINED! My wife used her card which is tied to same account with no problem so that told me what I already knew, it wasn’t an insufficient funds problem…Again…it was an INCOMPETENCY problem!…So here I sit on Sunday morning and now over 1 hour on hold with the Fraud Center…the true Fraud here is calling your operation a bank!

Would not cash a check that was written out to my business because I do not and after this experience will not ever get. Very unorganized, extremely slow and rude staff. Don’t do business here as they are bad for business.

Very poor customer service. It has taken months and several visits to get simple issues resolved. Staff at this branch are quite rude and poorly organized.
