Exceptional service at the skrimp shack! The lady was incredibly friendly and patient as she not only helped me navigate the menu on my first visit but also managed to keep the storefront nice and clean. Her professionalism made the experience delightful, and I bought home a delicious meal😆 Highly recommend for both the tasty 🍤+🐟 and outstanding service!

As a southerner now living in northern Virginia, I have longed for fried catfish, hush puppies, and fried okra. These are not easy to find in NOVA, but finally my search has been rewarded. My husband and I had lunch today at the Skrimp Shack in Manassas for the first time, but I can guarantee that it won't be the last time! I got the Big Cat(fish) basket with a side of Cole slaw, and my husband got the Skrimp basket with a side of hush puppies. We also ordered two "shareables": fried pickles and fried okra. Everything was very good, and the okra and catfish were excellent! The shrimp, slaw, pickles, and hush puppies were quite good but they are not as rare as the okra and catfish, but everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. We got there right at 11:00, so we were probably their first customers of the day which meant there were only a couple of other people in the restaurant, so I have no idea how busy it gets toward lunchtime, but for when we went, the service was excellent and the food, freshly prepared, was hot and crispy (except for the slaw!!!). I am just happy to know there's a place for okra, catfish, and (next time) collard greens. I'll also mention that everything was very clean, including the restrooms. Loved it and will be back often!

The BIG Cat Sammich was huge. It had great flavor. The only negative was the sauce was put under the tray liner and I didn't find it until I was done with lunch. I was thinking the whole time it needed some sort of sauce.

Just sorry I have to go back west where they don't have Skrimp Shack

After the Sam's Southern Eatery in Manassas shut down I decided to give this place a try, as the menu was very similar. I ordered the dinner sized "Big Cat Basket", "Mac N' Cheese", and "Add 4 Skrimp". The dinner portion is 3/4 LB Fried Fish, and is just the right size for a full stomach. The food took a long time to arrive by DoorDash, but it was worth it... (ordered at 7:34pm, didnt get in my hands until 9:01pm) The catfish was cut into small strips, which was new to me - Usually when I get catfish it's 2-3 big thick and long pieces. The breading on the catfish didn't pair well with the drinks.. For some reason it had a bitter after-taste. I tried to pair the meal with both Mtn Dew and Pepsi - both produced the same bitter taste. The shrimp was quite large, and decently breaded, thought I would have liked to have seen a thicker breading on it. The kind of breading they used on the shrimp basically just fell away like paper as soon as you picked them up. The Mac & Cheese was great - the only place I've had better was Panera. The cheese was in great supply, and was a nice creamy and vibrant texture and taste.

The only negative parts of this experience for me was the wait time (DoorDash at fault, not this place), the bitter after-taste on the breading, and that I got no utensils or napkins with my meal. All-in-all the meal was fantastic. I would say in the future I shall be returning.

There are three reasons I’m writing this review. The first is that I ordered the Nashville spicy chicken sandwich and was it ever so delicious despite the fact that the coleslaw was missing. The second reason was the cleanliness of the store. It was really clean and tidy which was impressive. The third and the best reason was the customer service. They close at 9 and I walked in at 8:55. I expect to be turned away but instead I was given one of the best welcomes I’ve ever received. I’ve worked in the food industry so I know folks are counting down the seconds to get home or move on with their lives. The gentleman that helped me had a Green Lantern tattoo and kept asking me if I wanted things like drinks or anything else. He told me that he waits for and expects people to come in last minute and it’s no reason to treat them any different than the first person of the day. I may not eat here frequently but it’s a blessing to have such a wonderful individual and kitchen staff at this location.

I came on Columbus Day around 3 PM. I ordered an oyster Poboy combo with hush puppies. It was delicious. The restaurant was clean and neat. The service was excellent. The sandwich was well prepared. There were many choices in terms of sauce and condiments as well as how the sandwich was prepared. There's a great deal of flexibility within each order to make sure that the sandwich is prepared to taste. Something you don't find in every restaurant. I will definitely be coming back

Everything is amazing here. The food was super tasty, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. I think I had the best ever chicken sandwich here, and I will definitely go there again. Super satisfied with food and service. Hopefully, they don't change their menu and ingredients and also the price soon.

I came here in a whim after seeing an advertisement on my FB mentioning, "Buy 1 Get 1 Free," Po'Boys.

On arrival, I was pleasantly pleased with the cleanliness and aesthetics of the store.

Being my first time, I didn't know what to get so I was assisted by the manager, Tanya, who was nothing but professional throughout the entire dine-experience.

I ultimately opted for the shrimp, mahimahi, & crab poboys with a side of fries and hush puppies with spicy sauce.

What did I think? It was great.
The ingredients were definitely fresh with a full green leaf of romaine lettuce and bright red tomatoes to the fresh seafood that was fried thoroughly through. The hushpuppies had the hint of sweetness you want but not overly sweet.

Tanya and her staff were quite inundated while we were there but I was very impressed with the fact that Tanya checked on each dine-in party whilst juggling phone calls and QCing her staff: she was great.

Advice to those who decide to try this place out:

1. Get the spicy sauce.. it's not that spicy (subjective I know) but it's really flavorful.

2. I found out after the fact from, Tanya, that we can get the buns buttered and toasted on the griddle if we request it...I deeply regret not having asked as that would have exponentially enhanced the already fantastic experience.

Skrimp Shack is definitely a treat for family take-out nights. The service is always A+ and the food is always fresh and “piping hot”, which is always great. I must say, I was quite impressed with the collard greens my wife brought home from the Skrimp Shack last night (Full Disclosure: I’m from the south and I can be a bit picky when it comes to ordering collard greens). The seasoning and flavor was really next level! Not what I expected, at all! Two Thumbs Up Skrimp Shack!

We were so happy to see a Skrimp Shack pop up near us! The facility is beautiful and looks brand new! We were the first customers at 11AM and Larry greeted us with such excitement! He was friendly, personal, and so funny! He even surprised with a banana pudding to go. We always go with the family pack! It’s myself and my husband and we usually have some food to go. Can’t go wrong with the blackened Mahi and skrimpies. We can’t wait to come back! Thanks for being awesome Larry & Go Cowboys!!!

I ordered it thinking ok. its a chicken sandwich. whatever. BOY WAS I WRONG.....THIS IS SERIOUSLY AMAZING.......DEFINITELY GET THIS. It came out fresh and hot....PERFECT BREADING. It was the BEST CHICKEN sandwich I've ever had

Delicious fish. I had the flounder which was three large pieces and a side of fried okra. I love fried okra. The flounder was fantastic and I got the lightly spiced breading.

Absolutely scrumptious!! Fat flounder sandwich, greens ooooo so delicious, service is wonderful, great atmosphere very clean. I highly recommend this location. Fast service apologize but the fat fish sandwich was being devioured could not wait till I took a photo as soon as served he started to devour his Fat Flounder and fries

I was definitely skeptical about this place as it was a chain. Definitely been hearing the hype & had to check it out. I got the family bundle which included large fries, chicken, whiting fish, shrimp then i got a catfish basket and a crabcake (sides were coleslaw & collard) . Lots of food for good price & was very delicious! Website was user friendly and it was quick

I love this place. I always get the whiting fish fried spicy and have never been disappointed. Each time, I order different sides. The greens are delicious, and hush puppies are delicious. My lady ordered the catfish nuggets, and she said they're delicious also.

Cooked to order, great choices of sides. VERY clean dining area. Well worth the drive from vienna.

I got the whiting bucket and the fish was crispy on the outside and nice and flaky on the inside 😋 This location was clean and new looking, the cashier sanitized the tables every time someone left

Found this place as a Groupon deal and GEEZ, I'm glad I did! Food was deeelicious. The catfish was piping hot straight out of the frier and seasoned to perfection. The collard greens were the right texture and flavor and the hush puppies 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Omg this place hands down has the best fish sammy they are filled to the brim with fish the flavor is simple and satisfying and that young gentleman at the register makes the experience very fun. They better not fire him or I won't come back. Also I can never get pictures because somehow the food just slips it's way in to my sausage fingers n disappears so yea
