Buttermilk and Honey on Grace

We stopped in for a quick snack one day on the way to the airport around lunchtime. We had recently had breakfast, so decided to split a chicken sandwich. We ended up getting the Korean sandwich, which was delicious! It was the perfect combo of spicy and sweet. The chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked. The fries were also great, especially when I dipped them in the sauce that had dripped off my sandwich.

The pictures say it all. Food was so fresh, so delicious, so comforting. The sides and flavor are all paired and mixed well together. Super shocked that the tenders were actually crispy and moist rather than hard and dry at many other places.

DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH RICHMOND! Stop and eat here if you love great food. We were met with smiles when we walked in the door, and the staff helped us in our decision making process. They took the time to explain each dish and were genuinely very nice. We went with the Fried Green Tomatoes, very flavorful and crunchy. (Served as three slices….four would have been perfect)
Chicken sandwich was amazing, fresh bun, great breading and very flavorful. Crispy crinkle cut fries are unmatched, best I’ve ever had. This place is a MUST stop, don’t miss it, you’ll thank me after you try it, make the Statue of Liberty do a backflip, just GO!

Hands-down, one of if not the best fried chicken sandwiches I have ever had and the fries were perfectly crunchy and seasoned just right. There were amazing collards, melty pimento cheese, and thick cut bacon on top of the friend chicken. And I ordered for takeout and by the time I got home everything was still crispy and delicious.

Let me start out by saying this establishment is a MUST for anyone in the area. We travel weekly for our job so we try different restaurants weekly in several states. By far, Buttermilk and Honey is officially our number one favorite restaurant in all of our travels.

From their pimento cheese balls to the macaroni and cheese to their fried chicken sandwiches to their chicken and French toast! Everything was DELICIOUS! 10 out of 10!

The staff are phenomenal! We had the great pleasure of meeting the General Manager, Nolan and the fabulous Miss Elizabeth. We can’t say enough great things about both of them. They were kind, considerate, friendly and humble. We can’t wait to come back on our next trip to the area. If you haven’t been it is time to change that immediately!! Enjoy the juiciest and crispiest most delicious chicken you will ever eat!

Buttermilk and Honey was the perfect way to introduce us to Richmond cuisine! The pimento Mac and cheese was amazing! And the pickled onions on the salad were top notch! Pickled onions on a salad should be the standard. So delicious!

For those of you who prefer Chic-Fil-A, why?!?
The food was obscenely good. The chicken is seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection. Hot, flavorsome, moist and crisp. The fries are incredibly crisp and fluffy at the same time. And the sauces, the sauces are amazing. Ranch is perfection, the honey mustard is actual honey mixed with mustard, the hot honey will make you question why you haven’t had it sooner.

In all seriousness this place is absolutely incredible and I’m sad that I don’t have time to have twice while I’m here. Please come to Texas.

I had a great experience! I thought the food, location, and atmosphere were all excellent. The fries with the ranch sauce were delicious too. I didn’t really see a breakfast menu though if I’m being honest but I still enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich a lot. I have to be careful around here….my big back wanted seconds 😋

This cute chicken-only shop is so good! The breading is delicious and the options for sauces is broad. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. It can get busy but the ordering system is easy and quick to use.

While we waited for our food, we were watching the young lady packing up something in little containers. She saw us watching and asked if we had any questions. She proceeded to explain their sauces, the food, etc. She could have just ignored us and gone about her business but took the time to explain things to a new customer. That was so refreshing and excellent customer service. The wrap and fries were delicious. Enough food that we took half of it home for lunch the next day.

This is a pretty nice place to grab a sandwich and eat. The workers/staff here are nice and friendly and the place is great for dine-in.

I got an Asian Persuasion, which was like a fried chicken sandwich with some chicken sauce and kimchi slaw. The slaw and the bun weren’t anything special, but the chicken was nice and cooked. The order also comes with fries, which they give a lot of but is a bit soft. The total for a sandwich and fries will probably come out to $13-14 if you don’t order anything extra.

I tried 3 of the chicken sandwiches: the cordon Bleu, the Korean one, and a plain one. They were all really good. The side options are French fries, collard greens or French toast. The French fries are seasoned with something like old bay. All very delicious.

Must try fried green tomatoes starter. Very delicious.
Order Dirty Bird and Cordon Bleu with fries and coleslaw. Both are exceptional and freshly made.
Fries were very good.
Clean, casual and airy atmosphere, energetic vibe.

Highly recommend.

As I finish up my "Dirty Bird" chicken sandwich at the Jefferson Hotel, I had to tout how spectacular of an experience we had. This sandwich, words simply wont do justice but I will try. The chicken melted in your mouth and was zesty. People that enjoy hot sauce for the Scoville clout should select another offering on the menu. The hot sauce was a nice splash of zest and paired very well with the blue cheese crumbles. The bun was soft and did it's absolute best to contain this magnificent specimen of fried chicken. The employees were incredibly helpful for us as first time visitors and the atmosphere was upbeat. Simply a must try for anyone who is lucky enough to be in the vicinity.

Both mine and my wife's sandwiches (gluten-free) were fantastic. Collards too.

It was my first time, visiting the restaurant. Here in Richmond visiting and decided to try this place. The food was good, the service was pleasant. You have to place your order yourself on the computer and pay with a card. ( NO cash accepted)
We had The OG chicken sandwich, cooked, tender and seasoned well, as were the seasoned fries. I will visit again!!!

I had an outstanding experience at this fried chicken sandwich place in Richmond, VA. Their commitment to using quality chicken is evident in every bite, and the flavors were absolutely fantastic. The wife and I stopped in for lunch and both got different chicken sandwiches and fries. We went in right after a convention got out or something because the place was packed. There was a wait to order and for food but again it was packed. We found a table and sat comfortably as we waited. When we got the food it was worth it, one of the best chicken sandwiches we've ever had. (I got the barbecue version and my wife went with the Nashville hot, both were cooked perfectly and seasoned well) Between the fries and sandwich it was a lot of food so very filling to say the least. If in the area I would recommend trying it out if you want a chicken sandwich, with so many different varieties you won't be dissapointed. They do offer more than just chicken sandwiches as well.

Oh my gosh!!! SO delicious! We had the fried pimento balls, Cobb salad, Dirty bird and fries and they were all absolutely delicious! The service was excellent, the restaurant was clean even though it was full and the atmosphere was top notch! Was so excited to try, and I’m so glad we did! My 4th DDD location!

Had to include the empty dishes so you can really understand. Seriously such amazing food chicken was juicy and the fry on it was perfect, the Mac and cheese and collard greens was a straight 10/10.
