VCU Health at Chesterfield Meadows

My whole family goes here. And I always receive excellent care for Dr. Mears she a really great doctor with a lot of education and nice background too. I would really recommend anyone to come see her. She takes pride and listen to what’s going on with you and try her best to provide you with the necessary resources to help you with your problems.

If you're a patient of VCU and don't like going downtown for routine stuff this is where I go for my labs. I have not used any of their other services but I know they have physicians working out of this office as well. Highly recommend.

Russell at Front Desk of VCU CHESTERFIELD MEADOWS IS VERY PATIENT-Friendly. He took care of my needs today & streamlined my error in showing up on the wrong date. I was seen anyway due to Russell’s efficiency & caring for a patient.

Great doctors

Dr Jennings has an inability to LISTEN to patients symptoms and concerns and comes in with an arrogance that makes it difficult to express what the problem is because he is talking over you the whole time. And is halfway out the door before you can ask questions. Totally unhelpful. You must stand up for yourself.

I have been going here for some time as have my kids. The practice got rid of a really bad female doctor and then got a great one. She recently left and they are back to two doctors. Dr. Mears is very young which is not a bad thing. But in this case, it's not a good thing either. She seems to make up her mind about people before you even meet her. Forget about getting her to listen to concerns or think outside the box. Or not having her judge you if you have to explain a "delicate" symptom or condition. She seems like she can't wait to get out of the exam room fast enough and barely examines you. My oldest child refuses to go back. Hope they get a new dr soon.

My bill is wrong again and I can't talk to anyone on the phone about it (still haven't gotten a callback). On my last visit, I got misinformation from my doctor (just finding out about this in January of 2022) for a prescription that won't transfer to my new home state.

Overall, VERY unimpressive, and I would NOT recommend.

Update: A new bill has been sent, but is STILL INCORRECT. 30 minute plus waits on the phone for billing? Terrible.

We have to sit in an ER for a minor issue with my daughter surrounded by very ill people because they can't/won't fit her in and refuse to let her come in and pee in a cup. Let's hope we aren't sick with something terrible later because of this.

We just went in for labs and the girl at the desk was incredibly rude… she came with attitude looking for drama!!
