Came down to Richmond for a day trip to view apartments. My mom and I had some of best sandwiches we’ve had in a long time!! The Nicoise sandwich was incredible with the tapenade spread. My mom ordered the Garnetts Garden and it was so tasty. The staff were beyond friendly even after we came in quite famished 20mins before closing! I can’t wait to come back!! 10/10 would recommend. :))

I finally made it to Garnett’s and I’m so glad I did! It’s exciting to find a sandwich shop that offers gluten free bread! Plenty of delicious vegetarian options too. The service was excellent! Did I mention Garnetts also had GF and vegan dessert options. We opted for the GF pistachio pie and it did not disappoint!

The cutest little place to grab a sandwich. There's a reason this place is always busy! Delicious sandwiches and cakes. You can place an order to go and borrow one of their picnic baskets to go eat in the park across the street.

Such a cute little spot to eat by a lovely park! The service was wonderful and our waitress was very kind and helpful. The mint lemonade and the sweet tea were so refreshing, and we both agreed that the sandwiches were some of the absolute best sandwiches we have ever had. So lucky to have Garnett’s in the neighborhood- we will definitely be back!

I have my mother to thank for reintroducing me to this quaint, belly filling spot. 😋 If you love a warm roast beef, I recommend the The Teacher. 🥪 Keep an eye out for their house made desserts(they go fast). 🍰

Garnetts not only has the charm, it has the food to back it up. It may be small inside, but the food packs a big bite! Great place for sandwich’s. Even have a deal for a date night meal. Good drink options as well. Go in, take your time and enjoy a real Richmond spot!

My daughter brought me here for Mother's Day lunch. The food was delicious!! Cost was reasonable, the atmosphere was adorable and as a bonus you can get your food in a picnic basket and go to the little park across the street to eat!

I loved this little sandwich spot! Two of my friends had recommended this place to me. I tried The Coach and it was delicious, highly recommend. I loved the pimento cheese and tiger sauce on it. The mint lemonade was good but I couldn't really taste the mint. The potato salad was amazing! Our server Sarah was very friendly with good vibes. I will definitely be back to try some of their other sandwiches.

Charming diner with homemade sandwiches and sides. They also can provide a picnic to go intended for the park across the street. Very cool place!

We had the chicken salad sandwich on chiabatta with French potato salad on the side and the Pointguard sandwich with home made pickles. It was a 10 out of 10.
The chicken salad was slightly sweet, the chiabatta perfect (not too chewy), and the potato salad had mustard in it (delicious).
We ended the meal with Rocky Road pie for dessert (scrumptious).
Finding parking to longer than getting the food, so heads up on parking. Place is busy, packed, and very small and cafe like style but service was good and efficient.
Prices were affordable (about $10 per person) and definitely worth coming back for. I highly recommend this place!

The food here is ULTIMATE. The atmosphere is nice too and always has deep cuts playing on the radio! Place is so good I almost want to keep it a secret from people

I hate I didn’t get a slice of one of the cakes on the counter! 🤦🏾‍♀! So here’s my review. Get the chicken salad sandwich! That was amazing and the portions are big! The vibe inside is super cute! Loved the framed pictures and furniture! The lady who was our waiter was super nice! The only super minor complaint we had was the lemonade. My husband thought it was super tart and sour. But do not let that stop you from stopping by!

We’ve been coming to Garnetts for years. The food is awesome, and the service is good. Mostly we eat in the nearby park and always look forward to picnics there!

Great little spot! Mostly serves sandwiches of all varieties. Very small so you might have a wait but service is quick and they have a nice happy hour deal. You can also borrow a picnic basket and have your meal in the nearby park.

Awesome sandwiches for a reasonable price. In the picture is "The Big Daddy", definitely 2 meals unless you're real hungry. Found a thin plastic string in the sandwich after I took the picture, which you can actually see bottom left if you look close enough.. But I just pulled it from my mouth and kept it moving 😂 Anyways, would definitely go back to try something else some time.

If I only have 24 hours in Richmond I’m going to Garnett’s and getting the chicken salad sandwich. Not sure what’s in it but it’s the best chicken salad I’ve ever had. You can’t go wrong with their menu!

If you're looking for a place to get great simple sandwiches, this is the place for you. There isn't a better sandwich shop in Richmond and Trust me, I've looked. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. Also, they're gluten-free bread and cake are to die for.

I can’t get enough of this place since I moved into town! It was slim pickings where I came from for a good sandwich - and this place is the best spot to fill my cravings! The Cali Club is my favorite, and they do a great job with that classic. They have an awesome assortment of pies and cakes too! Very limited seating, but they do to-go orders as well. It’s a hidden gem in this neighborhood!

Every item we had was amazing here, but the absolute standout was the smoked salmon platter in their appetizers section.

The components are similar to what you'd find anywhere else - smoked salmon, cream cheese (benadictine), capers, tomatoes, onions, pickles. However, the quality and flavors are unlike other places.

Smoked salmon was perfect, not too salty, and abundant. Boston brown bread was a great texture - sturdy yet soft - and soo tasty. Their cream cheese (Benedictine) was SO good, creamy and cucumbery. And the homemade pickles were tart and addictive.

Also, the hot sandwiches are cooked to perfection; they have a perfect crunch, as well as incredible flavor.

100% will make the detour to stop by again when passing through Richmond.
