Bar Solita

This is a great restaurant, we had some appetizers, the brussel sprouts and their food slate (charcuterie), we then shared their double burger plate. They have a good selection of beers and wines, tap beers are plentiful with about 10 choices. The food was very tasty, service was very attentive and prices were pretty good, considering you are in a big city. The restaurant has street parking which didn't seem a problem and is located right opposite the Quirk Hotel. I would definitely recommend it.

Grayson was absolutely amazing and personable. They weren’t overbearing but also present and attentive. Bar team did a phenomenal job with the cocktails & kitchen killed it with the dishes! A great menu with a lot of different options. Absolutely in love with the interior design. We will be back without a doubt 🥹 Thanks Grayson and team for a wonderful experience!!!

Stopped by this little gem for brunch during my Bachelorette party. We had the pineapple mimosas, chicken and waffles, and spinach chicken salad. Literally the best chicken and waffles I've ever put in my mouth! The spinach salad was delicious also and enough to feed at least two people! Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

We had a great evening and appreciated the service from our server Edwin. We enjoyed birria eggrolls, mozzarella sticks, crispy Brussels and two tasty beverages. Ambience was fun and lighting and seating was intimate and cozy.

I sat at the bar when I popped into Bar Solita and I am pleased that I did! I was quickly greeted by Andrew, a fantastic bartender who was attentive to the other groups around me but always seemed available as soon as I needed him. He described approximately half of the dishes on the menu to me and inevitably ended up ordering for me. The selection was perfect and I will be back the next time I am in Richmond.

Bar Solita is a lovely restaurant in downtown Richmond, VA. We had reservations for Thanksgiving and grateful they were open. Our waitstaff (the mighty) Quinn was exceptional and so friendly. Looking out for us, but not intrusive during our meal. He even took time to take our photo in front of the beautiful mural in the restaurant. The cocktails were spot on and very enjoyable. We opted for the small plates over the traditional Thanksgiving fare that was also offered. The food was delicious. My partner and I especially enjoyed the wings and the mozzarella sticks were some of the best I ever had. The room had a relaxing vibe and was very comfortable. I look forward to visiting again the next time I am in Richmond.

Gorgeous. Well lit and well decorated. Ambiance was right up my alley. We shared a bunch of tapas and tacos. All delicious. Our waiter, Ben I believe, was ah-mazing! So nice and amazing, friendly service! Absolutely loved our food. We also shared the bread pudding which was recommended by our waiter and he was not wrong! The coffee was even good and we are picky coffee drinkers. Zero complaints. Only praise!

We just had a rehearsal dinner here with 46 people. The food was fabulous, our staff of 2 did an outstanding job and the decor was great! Would recommend this anytime for large parties.

We had a lovely dinner at Bar Solita in the beautiful city of Richmond. Our server Edwin R was appeared at our table within moments of our arrival and provided us with many excellent recommendations. Our drinks and food came quickly and were delicious. We will definitely be back!

Great night at Bar Solita with our family and friends. We were visiting Richmond for the weekend and had dinner at the restaurant. Greyson was absolutely fabulous. The meal was yummy and drinks were good. We tried almost everything and the winners were the flour free chocolate cake and fried zucchini.

Great modern design with eclectic flair. The menu is carefully detailed to have something for all. I especially loved their tapas style small plates which allows for variety without the feeling of gluttony. The staff are amazingly pleasant and the bartender is very easy going. I let him know what type of drink style I liked and he knew just what to serve up! The overall layout is phenomenal whether you are planning to hold a working lunch, meet with friends after work for drinks, are considering a nice spot for an intimate chic dinner or even considering where to host a celebration gathering; Bar Solita can fit it all without the feeling of being out of place. A true gem within the Richmond area and I can't wait to go back for more. Bravo!👏👏

I loveeeee Bar Solita! It’s a fun atmosphere, delicious brunch and great happy hour. I love the pizza bites and gimlets. For brunch, the chicken biscuit is amazing and — of course — the giant cinnamon roll. Any time people let me pick the place, I pick Bar Solita.

Bar Solita is a great Mediterranean themed bar on W. Broad St. in the Richmond VA Arts District; next door to the Quirk Hotel. At the Solita: the atmosphere is pleasent, the service is good, the food is very good and the bartender was excellent (want something a little out of the ordinary...no problem.)

In Spain tapas are small, a bite while you enjoy a drink. At the Bar Solita the tapas tend to be American Portions, a dish to be shared. A good dinner for 4-6 people would be 4-5 of the tapas. We had three for the two of us, it was more than we could eat but they were all excellent.

Great place for our rehearsal dinner! We were in the mezzanine and we had a bar to ourselves. The food was amazing & there was A LOT of it! They were able to cater to my gluten free folk and it was a beautiful evening. Thank you!

Ben's willingness to go above and beyond as a server has been displayed to me time and time again when I come to Bar Solita. Edwin is in a similar boat, both great folks who make this place special to me.
The food is excellent, and does not leave me feeling sluggish after. The drinks are really well balanced and clearly made by someone with a good eve for recopies. This is a staple for me whenever I have guests come in out of town.

We had Grayson as our server and were provided with the best service. The knowledge of what’s available and what’s great was given to us to the point we tried everything. Thank you so much for a great brunch experience.

I wish I would've taken more photos, this place is fantastic. I was so caught up in the food that I forgot. It has plenty of seating. The brunch cinnamon roll alone was worth the visit. I didn't quite like the breakfast empanadas, but I will be back to try more.

After passing for the stale ambiance of Maple and Pine, we crossed the street and thank gosh we did.

Bar Solita was the perfect ending to a great weekend in Richmond. Their tapas style menu was perfect for our group of five. Many different menu options for food lovers alike. Our personal favorites were the tacos, shrimp dish & pizza (which just so happened to pair perfect with the Francesco Cirelli Red).

Our server Grace was so attentive and both her and the manager took great care of us. If you’re looking for a great space to relax, enjoy good food and company, look no further!

Ps: don’t forget to end your meal with an “upside down pineapple” drink, pictured below!

The food and drinks were amazing as always but Grayson was awesome!! They were very kind and just the right amount of attentiveness. Definitely made the experience go from great to the best we’ve had here!
