El Caporal Mexican Restaurant Chesterfield

Our first time at the restaurant. I ate the chips without issue, but I can't vouch for them not being fried without gluten cross contamination. As we were being seated, the chips and salsa were placed at the table, I'm unsure what the white sauce was. The salsa was pretty good, chips tasted fresh as well. My wife got the #12 dinner, enchilada, chili relleno and chalupa. She enjoyed it, said it tasted like the ones she grew up with in Texas. She will be back again. The meal came out very quickly.

Our waitress was attentive and checked on us throughout the meal.

My buddy held his nephew's 15th b-day party here. We sat out on the back deck and were well taken care of. Taco Tuesday, and most everyone got a plate of tacos. The food was really good, with nice portions. They held the cake for us and brought it out when we were ready. They did the giant sombrero and sang Happy Birthday. The staff were great. Would highly recommend.

This place had a unique menu, with lots of specials. The portions were generous. We had a big party and our waitress handled it so well.

Also, the white sauce may have been the best white sauce I've ever had.

Met some family members, and we chowed down on delicious Mexican food. The service was so good!!

Venue was very clean, staff was very attentive, didn’t hesitate to get a mistake in our order cleared up. Yea was perfect taste not to sweet not to bland. Omg and the white sauce is a lil spicy but spot on for taste. Chimichanga was the best one I’ve had yet in chesterfield, I will definitely be a return customer. Queso sauce was a lil runny but still good and refried beans were delicious.

Service is always top notch. Food is delicious. The managers and wait staff are always on top of it. My dad and I visit often and always have a good time!

The Pollo Sammy was recommended by the waitress and I was not disappointed. I love the vegetables in this entree.

It's getting close to 20 years that I've been eating at El Cap, and this is by far my favorite mexican restaurant. The food is magnificent, and the staff has always been extremely friendly. Especially going to a few of their locations for so many years, they treat you like family.

El Caporal has a standard Mexican restaurant menu, but the food is always excellent. I have tried several menu options, each I would order again. Their Happy Hour drinks are always flavorful. I am a frequent patron.

Absolutely delicious! 😋 The Texas fajita plate had me full until late night, and I had it around lunchtime. Great portions for the price, friendly expedient staff, and a relaxed ambience to enjoy a great meal either alone or with family and friends.
