Brightpoint Community College

My 2E child is in the musical theater program at Brightpoint. The college has been very helpful in making sure she has the accommodations she needs to be successful. The professors at Brightpoint are dedicated to providing the highest quality education, and as a community college that education won't leave you with massive debt. Reciprocity programs with VA universities mean your classes will transfer when you are ready to move on to university. However, the plethora of certification programs also means you can leave Brightpoint and immediately enter the workforce.

Community College is a great place to go and is such a value per credit hour. Brightpoint is a really great place to be. Attended a company retreat there but took a tour. So impressed.

It's a good college at a fair location. Keep in mind that this is a community college and not a four year college. It isn't going to carry the same weight as a true four year college, both with the degrees that it provides and the teaching level administered. The college is clean enough and they are doing some work to being up some of the buildings more to standard. The Midlothian campus is better, but this one presents a prime location being directly off the highway.

They have several computer labs and every teacher I've had has been fair and engaged with students to an acceptable degree (academically). The VA expert nice woman who knows her job well. As a veteran she helped me and my roommate out greatly with setting up the GI Bill and she did all our paperwork quickly and efficiently.

I'm taking my CDL truck driving classes here. Instructors are awesome, and the course is one of the most respected in the country. Recruiters from several trucking companies come here looking for drivers directly out of school.

This is a great affordable college and they have two campuses in two different county in RVA so makes it convenience for almost everyone. There are great professors and also horrible ones but thankfully you can pick the good ones. The financial and admission offices are friendly and helpful. During the “Pandemic” the offices functioned poorly but thanks lord it’s back to normal a bit.

I have been using their Chester campus library for a few weeks (all summer weeks, semester class is not in session) to study for my graduate school exam. There is always plenty of QUIET seating, handy outlets, and decent summer hours (8-8 M,T,W,Th). It is honestly the best hidden gem in Chester if you're serious about studying/testing done.

I love my Community College 💗. I went for Business Management but changed for a degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. They have save awesome teachers.

My oldest daughter, RIP, attended John Tyler in the early nineties and it was a great college than and still is a great and excellent college now.

An amazing and beautiful campus. Outside seating areas and a huge library. Great place to learn.
