No stop in Richmond is complete without stopping at Rest In Pieces. Whether it’s to buy a unique piece for the house, insect jewelry, bones or to just wander the store, you will not be disappointed.
The staff is always friendly and helpful. We’ve purchased from them multiple times and will be back again.
What always amazes me is their pricing. With every thing else going up, they keep everything here in a great range.
My top tip, if you see something you like, get it. I can promise you that it may not be there when you return.
Oh, it’s a city street. Be careful parking and be polite to the neighbors.

Very beautiful and eclectic store. Located conveniently across from Hollywood Cemetery. Put this on your list if you are a lover of oddities and curiosities. Incredibly large selection and curated displays inside. I love my skulls and crystals. Very friendly and kind staff made my shopping a wonderful experience!

While visiting, I knew I needed to head in to add to my collection of specimens. I do also collect vintage prescriptions and medical paraphernalia so I wish that was something they had more of, but I knew going in that wasn’t there thing. They are heavy on the crystals and incense which isn’t my vibe, but if it’s yours, the quality was all good. Was jazzed to find local art and bought more than expected. I wish the artists had business cards in with their work!! Would definitely stop back in again.

Amazing experience here, my daughter has been begging to visit this store and we finally went in today. Great experience, all staff was so lovely, patient, and very kind to us. Lots to see in this store amazing to read all the “about me” things they have all around, incredible collection of all kinds of oddities and beautiful taxidermy work!
This is definitely a cool spot, they also sell crystals, and insects in acrylic! Stop in and don’t shop online support this LOCAL business.

If you are in any way interested in or fascinated by natural oddities, such as two-headed animals, preserved specimens in jars, framed mounted insects, skeletons and skulls, (including human!), crystals, herbs, and minerals, the occult, taxidermy, or you just like biology in general, then this store is right up your alley!
My favorite things were the gorgeous hanging bat specimens in glass displays, and the beautifully naturally mummified cat, both of which I've pictured below. Plus the staff was friendly and helpful! I could keep writing but the pics speak for themselves. Impressive store! Rest in Pieces my friends...

This gift shop , is the best in Richmond for really cool things, they have great prices and awesome workers that go above and beyond to help you in any way to get what u want. Me and wife love the skulls and t-shirts, plenty of things in many areas.

I traveled from out of state to visit this shop and I am beyond happy with what I was able to see! I do wish there was more of a selection for framed insects though, there were maybe a third of what I typically would see them post. I was able to grab a few goodies and was super happy to see how everything was priced according to what it was, making them super affordable if you’re into collecting! I would love to visit this shop again next time I’m in the area. Staff was super helpful and friendly, so happy I got to stop in!

With spooky season approaching this place is peak spooky. They have a very WIDE selection of esoteric items for almost any personality.

I've been wanting to check out this store for a long time, and it did not disappoint! There is SO many things to look at in this store. Crystals, lots of taxidermy, and human skeletons / embryos to look at, which is rare to see.

It's practically a museum that lets you buy it's weird stuff. Bring the kids. Absolutely awesome. Best shop in Richmond. Best shop on the east coast. Skulls, bones, taxidermy, insects, arachnids, wicked tshirts, stickers, everywhere you look, your eyes will fall upon some strange and interesting item that you know you can't live without. If you haven't been to Rest In Pieces, you haven't been to Richmond. Don't miss this.

If your interests lean towards unique, unusual, or even the slightly macabre, Rest in Pieces is a shop you should definitely check out. I discovered this place by total coincidence at the end of a day and didn't get a chance to see everything, so I brought my wife back with me the very next day. It is part safari, part natural history museum, and so much more. You may be surprised, possibly shocked, but you definitely won't say that it isn't unique, especially in Richmond.

The lady here was absolutely welcoming & helpful. I love her vide so much. The specimens are clean and fairly priced. They have the coolest items & the vintage posters are awesome quality. We drive from NC to come here so you know it’s worth it.

Amazing and unique items. Very friendly staff and excellent customer service. You won't find another place with one of a kind items priced generously and procured with animal welfare in mind. Great experience online and in store. Will be a regular stop for us!!!

Fun stop to look at after a visit to the cemetery. Really interesting stuff and reasonable price.

I for sure will come back next time I pass by Richmond. I bought Impala skull, butterflies and a candle.

An interesting shop filled with oddities and eclectic
weirdness! Wonderfully curated for the darker souls in this world! The shop keepers or owners where highly passionate about the pieces and artifacts they held in the store! A great place to see fascinating and somewhat macabre items.

Cool little oddities shop. This place has taxidermy and furs, skulls and bones, preserved specimens, and the like. They have a good selection of spiritual items as well. The staff are nice and very helpful. It's a pretty neat place to swing by while in Richmond.

This place was awesome! Really nice taxidermy, bones & and wet specimins!! There was so much stuff and it was beautifully decorated. I will definitely be back if I'm ever in VA again :)

Eclectic little shop with a lot of goodies to discover. Skulls, taxidermy mounts, wets, bones, posters, crystals, cards, clothing, and more. It's small, but there's a lot packed in here. Reasonable prices for being able to see exactly what you're getting and instant gratification. Friendly staff, too! Will definitely visit again.

I love Rest in Pieces, everytime I visit, the staff is so kind and helpful! They have a great selection of taxidermy, crystals, books and plants! Everytime I go there is always new and interesting things to tempt me. It's a must visit for anyone who enjoys taxidermy, oseteology and the macabre.

An absolute GEM in Richmond. They always seem to have new inventory, and the staff is great. I also am a big fan of their prices!
Recently came in for a VERY last minute Father’s Day gift, and 3 wonderful Ladies helped me by wrapping it up and packing it safely in a box to travel!
All in all, would recommend.
