It's a post office. I've come here a few times to mail returns and the employees have always been helpful and fast. I don't expect service workers to be full of sunshine and happiness all day, so I don't care about friendliness as long as they aren't intentionally rude. The employees have been friendly every time I've come here. No complaints

Best post office in RVA. Shela is always working when I go and I go here specifically for her. She is so kind and helpful and makes running my errands more enjoyable. I've had less pleasant experiences at other post offices so this is the only one I use. Thank you Shela!

The service is always friendly and courteous. The representative is very welcoming, and possesses a rare genuine quality that most others in a customer service related industry don't, which is a natural compassion for people, and an innate ability to socially interact while continuously providing service with a smile.

If you are too preoccupied with time constrictions, and cannot take a brief moment to enjoy a pleasant, random conversation that is often times very humorous, then no, this is definitely not the place for you. As for myself, I thoroughly enjoy visiting this post office.

It dissapointes me at times always seeing negative reviews of post offices, then I go in their and see positive and curtious customer service. Sure, I've been dissapointed by the US Postal service for a damaged item, or miss communication but things happen, and in general the post office staff is their to help, and do their best to put a smile on their face for a number of angry people who are venting their frustration out at someone who's attached by uniform and zip code only, and did not crush your items themselves. Today I had the pleasure of waiting in line, and laughing at the friendliness, joking and small talk of Gail (apologize if that's not how you spell your name), the only person working the counter. Thank you for your humor, and positive attitude today, as it was very appreciated. Thank you for the laughs, and thank you Gail, for your service to this country! Hats off.......

Took a wee while to be served, however the lady behind the counter was adorable! I will definitely be back again!! Even with the 20 minute walk from Massey Cancer Centre!!

Don't know why this location has so many bad reviews because the staff here was incredibly helpful and kind when I was trying to ship an item. I already had the label and I brought the item to the office and the woman at the counter packaged it up for me and explained everything and was so sweet.

Awesome! They sent my documents quickly. Whole processing time was less than 2 minutes.

Super nice staff. Didn't have what we needed but recommended other locations to help us out.

The hours are a bit unusual, but the staff has always been really nice and helpful. This is a great post office if you work in the Jackson Ward / Broad St. area during the day.

Keep in mind that there's only 1-2 employees there at a time. They close between 10:45 and 12 every day for lunch, so that they can stay open during everyone's regular lunch hours. This is more of a USPS express than an full-size / full service Post Office, but its great for what it is.

First off - this office is closed from 10:45am - 12pm daily!!

The staff here is always very friendly - though there seems to only ever be one person on duty which can mean the line moves a bit slowly.

If I could put zero stars I would. The biggest mistake I made living in Richmond was choosing this post office for my PO Box.

Let's start with their operating hours. They are open for 5 1/2 hours and that is if they decide to unlock the doors on time. I have waited until 9:45am multiple times for them to open. The PO boxes are only accessible during their "business" hours.

Service. Don't get me wrong, the lady (if you have been there you know who I am talking about) is very nice and personable but it seems like she is the only employee that works there. Just look at the average wait time...25 minutes. Factor in the rare times that no one is line and it only takes 5 mins, this means there are people spending well over 30 minutes waiting to PAY for a service. Trust me, I have waited 45 minutes more than once.

This post office belongs in Mayberry. For all you youngsters...google it.

The worst Post Office I've ever been to! I do not use the Post Office so for this to be my first encounter with someone there in years & it turns out to be a horrible experience. There was a rude older black male behind the counter who had an inappropriate conversation with a USPS Truck Driver about a woman that works there but wasn't in. Then he acted as though he didn't want to scan my package that needed to be returned to Amazon. When I asked him for a receipt he did it with an attitude as if he didn't want to do his job. The Post Office will hire anyone these days.

Who ever is in the post office on October 27, 2016 between 1-2pm should be fired. He told me he was the only person in the entire post office when I called. I was just simply looking for a lost package. HQ told me my package was handled by this post office. When I called, he was EXTREMELY short with me and would not help. He just wanted to give me the phone number to another post office which I had already told him was not working. He replied, "I don't know what you want me to do." He is not fit to handle customers. Please get rid of him.

I have been going to this post office for over three years and this is by far the worst run place I have ever seen in my life. It's only 2 blocks away from my job, so I keep hoping to go in and catch them on a good day. I'm still waiting for that good day to come. The wait times are always long, there's usually just one person working the desk and that person usually has an attitude and acts as if you're bothering them. Today I waited in line for over 30 mins and the clerk never even came from the back to acknowledge that customers were there, or let alone tell them how much longer it would be before we would be helped. There were four people ahead of me in line. One of them had been there waiting for 45 mins. The clerk stopped playing super loud christmas music only long enought to answer a phone call, then went right back to what they were doing; still without coming to the desk to help customers.
This place makes a day at DMV seem like a picnic; and that's had to do.

I called to find out where my package was and they don't even put you on hold so you hear everything they are doing while you are on hold. Once she finally got back to me, she told me my package was at a different post office. I tried calling that one and with no answer after the 5th time I called this post office back. The woman did not put me on hold and I could still hear her as she says "Can you come take care of this customer" with an rude tone. Then the next lady comes on and says oh your package was here but they came and picked it up again. Why get a rude tone with me, if I am asking you to do your job? They sent me to the wrong post office and made me waste my time and made me call back to say it was at their office the whole time. It does not take more than a couple of minutes to check for my package. Richmond post offices are a pain.

I am tracking a tiny item that weighs all of about 1oz and can fit in someone's shirt pocket. This took all of 2 hours to process through the Lexington KY facility and 4 hours to go from Lexington KY to this facility in Richmond VA. The first postings say this left Richmond on its way to Stafford VA after about 48 hours. Now they have changed it to say that it really didn't leave until another 24 hours after that. So, right now it has already taken 71 hours for this tiny 1 oz. item to process through the Richmond facility and it isn't expected to arrive until Monday at 9pm, or 113 hours later. That means it takes approximately 6 hours to process completely through the Lexington KY facility and travel over 460 miles to Richmond, and then it takes 113 hours to process and travel 71 miles from Richmond to Stafford, REDICULOUS.
