Nimbus Massage

Really great experiences here - they’re very professional and more focused on therapeutic treatment so if you have a pain, they will fix it. The atmosphere is still very relaxing and cozy though, so I get the spa vibes I want. The scheduling is easy and the prices are competitive. There’s a good variety of practitioners/treatments too. I see Pete and Amanda, who are both fantastic!

Amanda is amazing. I've had chronic hip pain for some time now and she was able to release so much tension in an hour. She dealt with everything so respectfully and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. So thankful I found this place.

Kai gave me a great experience. She is great at listening to my needs and addressing the problem areas.

I met Kristina Page around 2005 with friends (I believe it was one of the inimitable Megan Janke's (née Schmidt) friends, though my memory of the group of people is fading) at a lunch. She was so charming and engaging that when she mentioned being the owner of Nimbus Massage, as well as one of a few massage therapists of the business, I had to visit.
That and I'd recently strained my back and needed the tension released.
They were then located next to Thai Diner Too on West Cary Street. The new residence on Main near the VCU campus is quite a bit more accessible. The therapists working there are all professional and courteous, and know exactly what they are talking about with the muscles they work.

I was warned several times by one therapists that working directly on muscles of the back was not safe, but since I had already signed a waver, and had so many (100%, that is) excellent sessions, I insisted. I was already in great pain, and it was one specific bunch of muscles; you could feel the knot. All I needed was for it to stop being tense. He did the work, wished me well, and the next day the knot was gone. These people are just amazing.

I will always suggest Nimbus Massage to anyone who complains of muscle pain or soreness, or just mentions they would love a massage.

Appreciate the top notch massage therapists at Nimbus. I found Shelley to be a great fit for my needs, with a combination of strength, skill, confidence, flow and general positive energy. Very complete and well rounded therapeutic experience!

I've been visiting Nimbus for therapeutic massage since 2008, when it first opened, and every therapist I've seen there has been fantastic. But I have to absolutely tell everyone to see Caroline if you need trigger point therapy!

I've had a lot of muscles spasms and pain in my shoulders for the last 6 months, along with tingling down my arms. In our first session of trigger point work and cupping, Caroline fixed me! We had open, easy communication throughout the session, and she honed in on the exact areas where I needed relief. My shoulders have fallen down from my ears and the spasms have stopped! I'm going back weekly now to work at the deeper muscles, because Caroline's work is healing my whole body. And I'm planning to purchase a membership. Nimbus and Caroline are worth it!

Caroline is amazing! She is a very gracious and extremely knowledgeable massage therapist. She not only intuitively found and addressed my trigger points but also provided easy to understand answers to my questions about the cause of the problems. As a result, I decided to purchase a membership!

Pete was amazing! I’ve had a few hot stone massages, but this one had been the most relaxing and effective. He exceeded my expectations and was very responsive to my requests. I’ve enjoyed every massage at Nimbus, but this one was by far my favorite.

I had a excellent massage with jimmy. He communicated just enough to know where he needed to work specifically but left you to enjoy the massage. I felt very relaxed and it definitely helped manage my aches and pains

I went for an evening prenatal massage with Lakeshia last Saturday, and let me say how much of a relief it was on my body. She was so kind and responsive towards my needs seeing how I far along my pregnancy I am. She greeted me so politely and was so open towards the concerns I put down on my form prior to coming in! She would check in on me from time to time and see how I was feeling. It was an amazing and calming experience as my nerves for delivery had been getting to me and this was exactly what I needed. Since it was dark outside by the time I was done, she even volunteered to escort me out back which made me feel safe and taken care of. Thank you everyone at Nimbus! I will be back and I will be more than happy send friends your way!

Pete has been working with my partner and me individually to target pain and stress relief through massage. He is super knowledgeable and mindful and takes his time working problem areas. Love this place so much!

Such a professional and well kept business. I received both great customer service and assistance navigating the website and appointment scheduling. A peer recommended that I book a session with James when I was dealing with a foot injury, and after one session with him my pain levels had significantly decreased. He was able to help me so much and decreased my pain levels more than I ever though was possible with massage therapy. The facility is also very clean and has a positive, calming atmosphere.

I will absolutely go back. My husband made an appointment for a couples massage at kind of the last minute so I had tempered expectations. Our massages where amazing. I had Jordan. She worked my knots out without too much pressure. The massage was therapeutic and relaxing. I felt so good after! I will definitely go back. They had heated tables and relaxing rooms. The staff was so caring. Very pleased.

I first saw Kristina when she was in solo practice and really appreciated the time she took to know me and what I needed for the back pain I was experiencing. I've continued to be impressed with her continuing drive for more education in therapeutic massage as well as the growth of her practice. For relief of pain and stress, I cannot recommend Nimbus highly enough!

I did a lot of research on oncology massages and was referred to Nimbus. They listen and care and Ihave been going for two years, even. Their standards through all of this Covid mess are the highest in keeping things sanitary and safe. They have helped so much with scar tissue and overall wellness. Please go. Your body needs the best.

Having broken my back and now having resulting physical limitations I was sure I could not do yoga anymore. I just did chair Yoga for Resilience with Morgan Howell. AWESOME Doesn't even begin to describe how I feel. She is a gifted instructor. I feel peaceful, more flexible and ready to do it again! Highly recommend!!! THANK YOU!

Great massage! I went in tight and in muscular pain from workouts through the week and left feeling relieved and refreshed. I’m on travel just for the weekend here in Richmond and they were able to accommodate and get me in for what turned out to be a great massage from Rain!

Amazing couples massage! We’ve booked with Nimbus twice now for our couples massage. The staff are experts and always professional. They take great care and confidentiality to get to know your preferences and history. COVID precautions are excellent.

I had a wonderful massage experience with Rain. They listened to me intently during a consult pre-massage and checked in with me throughout the massage regarding pressure at just the right times. Rain also honored my request to have some guided breathing at the session's start to get into relaxation mode. I highly recommend them as a massage therapist if you are looking for stress and pain relief!

I have been going here for 5 years and they have been so important to keeping my chronic pain down. I've worked with most of their massage therapist and all of them have been lovely. I always leave feeling so much better.
