Sunday Morning Bakehouse

What a delight! I wanted to try a new place and I’m so glad I stumbled across Sunday Morning Bakehouse! When I walked in, I was immediately pulled by the beautiful decor, high ceilings, and smell of baked goods and coffee. I was helped as soon as I got on the line and the staff that prepared my food and coffee was very pleasant! I saw some reviews about it being super crowded, which was not the case when I visited. I bought an decaf iced Oat milk Mocha was delicious and several pastries, like the croissant, chocolate chip cookie, and banana loaf was demolished by me and friends in minutes. I can’t wait to visit again!

Fantastic coffee shop/bakery with a limited selection but everything they do sell is exceptional! Don’t hesitate to give this place a try for delicious latte, cute breakfast or baked brunch!

Get the mushroom quiche, breakfast brioche sandwich, and the strawberry cream donuts! The only thing that was mediocre was the seasonal banana croissant. We enjoyed their Americano as well. Temperature wise, its hotter than most americanos so be careful. The mugs weren’t very attractive but I see that their latte cups are prettier!

Wonderful place for breakfast! Will definitely back! Probably on a weekday though, it was crowded it will be very challenging to find a seat on a weekend. So come early on a weekend, like when it opens.

The donuts had asian donut filling- light and not too sweet. Highly recommend it! Pair it with unsweetened espresso drinks!

First time here and wow I absolutely love it. We had the breakfast sandwich on a croissant, cinnamon roll, and strawberry donut. We also had their special latte with honey. Everything was great!

Their egg and cheese sandwich in their brioche bun is by far the best egg and cheese sandwich i’ve ever had!!
Their chocolate croissant is fantastic, as well as their very fresh donuts. The best donuts are the plain sugar ones (I typically prefer glazed and plain than stuffed donuts though)

Bakeshops and cafes can be so generic, basic and generally overpriced. SUNDAY MORNING BAKEHOUSE IS THE OPPOSITE.

1. The staff: The were lovely. They were quite busy and seemed so calm and collected as they took and completed orders.

2. The goods: The quiche I ordered was fabulous and just the right size for a solid breakfast. I wish I could have tried the pastries, but based off of what I saw in the case and what I saw the team preparing fresh in the shop, I'm positive that everything they make is delicious.

3. The Latte: Probably one of the best lattes I've had in months. It was so smooth and velvety, with the perfect temperature.

I was only here for business, so I was only able to sneak there once during my stay. I wish I could've had breakfast or lunch there more. It is a gem that I hope gets all the support from the community and everyone passing through!

Nice coffee and bake shop. The couple times that I've stopped in, the place was buzzing with people. As I waited in line, it was fun to watch the bakers measuring ingredients and preparing the breads and pastries. The croissants and donuts were very tasty.

Stopped at Sunday Morning Bakehouse on my way to work and tried their Mushroom Quiche with Mixed Greens. It was the perfect breakfast. The quiche was well made and the taste was just delightful. It paired so well with the mixed greens. Service was quick and the bakery itself was very cozy. Lots of people hanging out on their laptops. It definitely gives you that warm inviting feel to stay and hang out. Will definitely come back to try their other menu items.

This restaurant was so busy on a Saturday morning! This was with good reason, as the food and drinks were excellent. They have some of the best donuts I've had! The S'mores donut was especially extraordinary.

Absolutely love the decor in the place. Very appealing. They also have a nice variety on the menu for pastries and coffee, they also offer several breakfast platter optionsalthough I am unsure on the portions but I do believe its something worth looking at! I ordered a raspberry tart and I wish I could have ordered a dozen to take home. Flaky buttery and tasty

This place is solid and consistent for delicious pastries and breakfast. Their quiche is *fabulous* and comes with a side of fresh greens, which I appreciate. Nice quality bacon is a plus - get a side of bacon if you’re into that. The breakfast platter is also yummy and filling, with phenomenal bread. Now, the pastries are always top notch, no matter what you choose… donuts, cookies, coffee cake. In Summer they make these Peach Tartines which are pretty special. On weekends they sometimes have cake by the slice which are all magical. Good coffee but not my fave in the area. A little bitter for my personal taste. Nice staff too. In summary, eat here!

I'm always looking for local gems with coffee and pastries (in this order ☕). Just off the gate, I am a coffee enthusiast and purist if I may say. Which means I am always looking for coffee with no milk or sugar... Just coffee. That said, I ordered an espresso (my go to drink for fair evaluation). It was very good. They serve Ceremony Coffee (Mass Appeal Blend for that day), which is another local gem. The espresso was a double (around 3 oz). Great crema, slightly over extracted, but just a hint. Very low acidity as well. I also got the matcha cream croissant, and it was great. It is on the expensive side ($5+), but you get a nice flaky croissant (as you'd expect from a good pastry shop), and a very generous portion. If you are looking for a great croissant and a very good coffee, that's a great place to try. One final note, I was there Sunday morning right before 10 am, and the place was packed, yet another sign of good quality a local spot.

First off, I will like to say my overall experience here was wonderful, I am not paid or given any incentive to write this review.

I was craving Croissants and decided to stop by to order take out. Let's start with parking. I mean, it is Pike and Rose in Bethesda. Parking is expected to be a nightmare but lucky for me, I visited on a weekday morning so found parking easy (Parking meters). The vibes from the street looks very modern and I love that they have the menu at their entrance so you can see what is on their menu and the prices. Inside was a dream! Plants, peaceful and soft music perfect for that social media foodie picture or story. You can come here for a wonderful date, to get some work done and just a peace full breakfast morning. I came in for Croissants and left with 3 other items 😭. I will say it is more on the pricey side but again it is located in Pike and Rose in Bethesda there is no way I am getting prices I am comfortable with 😂. The smoked Salmon sandwich was really good, the Beignets with cinnamon sugar were just perfect, the strawberry cream filling Croissants had the perfect balance and my chocolate Croissant was DIVINE.

This place is great. The baked good are amazing. They actually have my favorite Avocado toast of any place. The service is excellent. They are all very nice, warm, and welcoming. It is a great place to stop in if you need to work for a hour (they have WIFI), and also great to meet a friend over coffee. If you are in Pike and Rose, you should definitely stop by.

This bakery is wonderful. You walk in, see the great decor, and then the case with golden, fresh-baked, delicious pastries. It was difficult to choose what to eat so we got a little bit of everything. It was all so tasty and please do not hesitate to pick up a donut because of the price tag-- it was well worth it!

A new favorite!! A very cute breakfast or quick treat spot. The menu has a nice range of options for food, baked goods and drinks. The decor is beautiful. The whole establishment breathes cozy to me. I enjoyed my meal, the staff was pleasant and provided great customer service.

I ordered the breakfast sandwich, ham & Swiss croissant and a cinnamon sugar donut. I also tried the essence green tea. Everything was delicious and refreshing. I will definitely be back.

Nice place to sip some coffee while having some delicious pastry. Coffees and their pastries are very good. This place is very spacious, relaxing, and clean. No stupid music blasting like some cafes. I really like their donuts. They're quite unique and very tasty. Their Boston cream is very good.
