I stayed one night at the Dillard House on December 14, 2023. I used to stay here years ago when kayaking in the area, and was very happy to see that the ambiance and service hasn’t changed. The Dillard family still owns and manages the property. The rooms are rustic but clean and comfortable. The family style meals were very good with an abundance of southern favorites and great service. I will be coming back!

Absolutely beautiful and serene. The honeymoon suites with a fireplace is so relaxing. Everything about the restaurant is perfect. At the stables, the staff was so kind and I enjoyed talking to the guides during the ride through the river. They even threw a BBQ while we were there with live music and all you could eat. Can’t say enough good things.

I had a Women of the Kingdom retreat at this place. Amazing experience.
Nice views of hydrangeas, horses and the restaurant too.
I must go back with the family . Parking is on front of your rooms.

We got 2 rooms one for us one for my oldest 2 kids. The 1st room my 9 year old tried turning on the shower and the knob broke off. The second room, the air conditioner broke. They did let us change the room with the broke air conditioner and gave me plyers to turn on the shower and adjust the temperature for the other. Besides those 2 hiccups it was absolutely AMAZING. The food was great we ate breakfast lunch and dinner at the Dillard House a few times. The view was breathtaking. None of us wanted to leave.

We took another family trip here because we wanted to try again after a bad experience many years ago. The area is so lovely and the old memories of it just wouldn't let go. So glad we gave it another shot. We fell in love with the place again. Whew! The rooms have been *slightly* updated, and the cleaning staff had done a wonderful job with what they have. I have included detailed photos.
The front desk staff was wonderful. The stable staff was wonderful. The dinner wait staff was wonderful.
Beds were very comfortable. It was a quiet night with no noise from neighbors noted. The refrigerator worked well. The bathroom was not worthy of a bath, but fine for a shower. It looks like they tried to reglaze the tub and it is coming off. The caulking appeared pretty new. No mold/mildew to speak of. The floors were clean (both the vinyl plank and carpeting).
Enough outlets available for everyone to charge a phone. Climate control worked well. Security on sliding glass door was an extra slider which was a welcome addition, and the front door now had a chain (which was missing on our last trip many years ago).
We are excited to plan our next trip back.
I recommend staying in the Blue Ridge building, it was the Meadows building previously that was an awful experience.

We had our wedding reception here and it was lovely. There are plenty of rooms for guests who want to stay. The scenery is gorgeous, with mountains and fields with horses. The catered food was excellent.

I've been dining here for years and it's one of my all time favorites! This is Southern Food served southern style. Their menu can change daily so check before you go. I do have to say they have the best fried chicken and mac-n-cheese ever, oh and best fried okra too! If you go, be sure to stop by the Stables and setup a horseback riding trip and check the distillery out as well. 5 Stars!

We stayed for a week at their Inn. Great view of the mountains. Food at the Dillard House was wonderful. Tasty southern cooking . Horse back riding , a mini farm with goats and chickens. A pool for refreshing afternoon swims, a whiskey tasting business located on the property, beautiful flower beds to explore. The property was kept extremely clean and grounds you could just walk and enjoy. Different types of accomodations, too. Rooms with fireplaces, porches with rockers, rooms in the old original building and so much history about the place. Close to so many things to go and see. We loved it so much we have booked for this summer, too.

Where do I start... the food is awesome, the employees are pleasant, the views are spectacular. You may have to wait for a table, but it's worth it. You have some choices, but mainly you get the planned meal, they bring everything to the table and you get servings like you're at home. The hotel is also awesome, the rooms have views of the mountains and the property (stables and pastures), very cool.

Very nice place. Accommodations very clean and nice. There was a fireplace and firewood and matches were provided along with a small block of fire starter. The restaurant was outstanding. Service was great. Home style service. You don't order anything except for beverages. They just bring you a little bit of everything. If you want more, just ask. Price was $24.95.

My first time staying here. It was wonderful. Nice, clean & updated luxury room. Loved the open space and the 2 queen beds. The bathroom had a walk in shower & a tub with a shower. Very nice updated vanity with lots of storage. Loved the back porch with the rocking chairs that over looks the field where the horses roam in the afternoon/evening. Nice little kitchen area. I love that all the furniture matched. Great price for the room as well. I will definitely stay here again.

We love staying at the Dillard House. We stayed in several different places there, from Helen's house to Eddie's house and two of the hotels. We love it. That's one of the reasons we keep go back to stay their while we go whitewater rafting.

I will say that it could use some good maintenance.

Scenic and cozy. Room was very clean and spacious. We could see horses grazing in the pasture from our room. Food at the restaurant was amazing and abundant. After dinner we walked to the petting zoo and horse stables. Loved the whole experience!

Always love coming to this place to eat, it's a nice family style meal, great food, and plenty of it. First time staying here and they are amazing rooms for the price and all the amenities make it even more worth it.

Great for quiet honeymoon. Very scenic and clean considering the age. I stayed in room 271 which had two large queen size beds, both a bathtub and a shower. Roku TV offering Netflix, Prime, local streaming, etc. It had sliding glass doors and a deck spanning the back - so I sat in rocking chair and drank coffee in the morning, watching the horses down in the valley. Very peaceful. I am particular about the showers. This unit had a very hot shower with a very strong shower head - nice! The beds were comfortable.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom chalet down the street from the main campus and loved it! The house was clean and spacious. The property was beautiful. We visited the horses and petting zoo on the main campus as well. Staff were friendly, animals were friendly and clean. Overall a great place for a family vacation.

We have been eating and staying here for almost 20 years. We love our weekend getaway spot. To be honest we have had quirks In our stays but have always been taken well care for by the staff/owners.
