Parklawn Cemetery

We recently buried my uncle here and Mike did a great job at making the most difficult time of our lives a little bit easier. He was very attentive and reassuring that he was there to help us with anything we needed. He is truly appreciated by all of our family!

The grounds are lovely, in a tranquil park-like setting. It is set back from the main roads so you don't hear traffic but it's close enough to Rock Creek Trail and local parks that it doesn't feel desolate.

We worked with Amelia Haeger at Parklawn and she made a very difficult time easier. She is unfailingly professional and empathetic. She does everything in her power to make the process run smoothly. (Amelia's colleagues, from the office manager to the groundskeepers were also very gracious.)

There were significant delays in the monuments being produced and delivered due to supply chain problems. While we were not happy about the delays, we understood that it was truly out of their control. Amelia gave us updates as they were available. We were finally able to hold a ceremony for my Mom and Amelia did a lovely job hosting.

Amelia met with me after the service to make sure we were doing well. She was very thorough in explaining visiting hours, placing flowers and holiday decorations, and how to reach the staff for assistance.

It sounds like some other folks had issues with their counselors but we definitely did not. Amelia was wonderful to work with.

Parklawn Memorial Cemetery was by far the best experience I encountered for such a sad time in our lives. Ms. Josie Graham made everything seem doable. Not only was she professional, she was absolutely our godsend. She was kind, interested in our family and our well-being, concerned and helped us every step of the way. She took her time to help us find the perfect spot for my grandson and remembered every detail from memory each time we visited as we prepared our funeral arrangements. Afterwards, upon my request, she even stepped up so that I could purchase plots for our entire family. She is currently assisting us with designing my grandson's headstone. Josie is absolutely "awesome and amazing" and a true gem for Parklawn Memorial Cemetary. Without her, our experience would really have been much harder than it already was.

Found this place while walking through parklawn. Beautiful and well kept cemetery. I can see why people would want to use their services. It was gorgeous and peaceful to walk through.

Have buried both my parents and my grandmother here and they are always willing and able to assist with all needs. Very well keep and beautiful grounds.

We live on the opposite coast and haven't been able to visit our parents markers and wanted to see if it can be checked on, especially for some recent special occasions that we typically would send flowers for. Bonnie was super helpful and understanding. We were able to send flowers to the address from Costco and Bonnie was able to clean up the marker and place the flowers. We are forever grateful for her help

Amelia went above and beyond and has helped me every step of the way. I felt so much at home and felt that Amelia is a family member of mine. Amelia helped me so much and I’m so grateful to have Amelia as my counselor, she is professional and full of compassion. She made the process go so efficiently and smoothly. I am so fortunate to have Amelia as my counselor and I wholeheartedly appreciate all the kind help she provided to me!

Josie helped my family during such a difficult time, she was so compassionate and caring. This was by far the most difficult thing I had to do but she made everything so much easier on me and my entire family. Services went smooth and as expected. Definitely recommend working with Ms. Graham and I will continue to share my experience with those that may be in need of her guidance and support. Above and beyond service.

The Parklawn staff are professional, welcoming, and very helpful through an invariably difficult process. I worked primarily with Josie. The process of burying my mother and planning her funeral initially seemed overwhelming, but she did a great job making it digestible. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. No big issues, would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful and well kept cemetery tucked away in a busy area of Rockville, MD. Staff was so supportive and kind. If you are from the area, I highly recommend Parklawn.

My son and I were unable to make an appointment so showed up unannounced at the Parklawwn Office. The receptionist was so pleasant and helpful and quickly got someone to help us. We were seen promptly and although we had not brought papers with us they were able to find our paperwork from 1950 in no time and with their outstanding, professional and supportive assistance we were able to transfer ownership of my plots to my son. I am writing to commend and thank Josie Graham at Parklawn. Our mom died suddenly and unexpectedly from a fluke accident a couple of months ago. We are still devastated beyond words. Josie did an amazing job walking us through the entire burial process. Her compassion and empathy are incomparable. Even though some time has passed, Josie still checks in with us to offer her support. She is innately suited for this role and is a wonderful asset to Parklawn.
