Gina's At the Legion

We had an amazing time here at Gina's. Our food was delicious and fresh. For an appetizer we had onion rings and a cup of crab corn soup. The onion rings are really thin and crispy , which is so delicious! The cup of soup was a bit cheesy. For the meal I had a shrimp poboy and a piece of my mom's catfish! ( How could I not ! It's fresh Louisiana catfish ) Absolutely DELICIOUS!

The shrimp on my poboy and the fish gave me a very similar taste to how the fried shrimp and fish used to taste like at politz. I was so happy about that. We were told by the waitress at politz that they no longer serve Louisiana catfish. Which was really sad to hear , and taste. With this visit at Gina's at the Legion I now no longer have to worry about what place to go to get some good ole Louisiana seafood when I'm back in town.

When I was younger Gina used to run a snowball stand that us all in St. Charles Community would support. It was great to continue to support her restaurant. Thank you Gina for all of your great dishes and memories that came along with them.

The people were
friendly, and there was no rush. I couldn't wait to bring a friend and she loved it too!!

Comfortable environment, live cajun music, foods were greatly proportioned, homemade deserts were amazing, & prices were great. We definitely left in a food coma. I had the hamburger steak. It was somewhat bland but the meat was welldone like i like the meat. The presentation was amazing. My fiancé had the spaghetti 🍝& meatballs. The meatballs were huge and so yummy. The spaghetti sauce tasted amazing. We had the homemade desert bread pudding. It was very delicious. Everything was fresh and fulfilling.

Extremely good food, even better service. Kelly is a saint! The prices are modest and and the portions large. Family friendly! Great place to catch Cajun music on the first and third Wednesday of every month!

Really great food, one of the best chicken fried steaks I’ve ever eaten. The portions are very large. Be prepared to have leftovers. The staff is very efficient and pleasant. It is always been an enjoyable experience, every time.

Just absolutely great food. Best duck strips I've ever had. Service was fantastic. Comfortable atmosphere.

Meatloaf, potatoes and green beans tasted right out mom's kitchen. My son's pork belly BLT was fabulous and he loves him some bacon. We could barely finish half the meal. Meal is definitely worth the price! Staff is friendly and kind.

This is a great bar but also really good and reasonably priced plate lunch take out. Killer daily specials. The Chicken Fettucini Alfredo is first rate.

Enjoyed my meal,hostesses was very nice and polite,made sure we had everything we needed.i recommend everyone to go to Gina's.seafood was cooked to perfection.

This place is such a great place good food, fast service, great staff. I will alwase come here it's benn amazing sine they where at there old location 10/10
